Don’t do it
After getting into the property we had to make a decision. Either to go to Walmart and buy some major cleaning supplies and Air fresheners and hope the smell went away, or to book at a Hotel. Our initial experience did not meet the standards promised in the listing (safety, cleanliness just to name a couple). The inside of the main entry door frame was broken (like someone broke in through the front door). I would not feel safe sleeping there at night. The French doors were also not locked at all when we got in. There was also a very bad fishy smell coming from the air conditioner. You’re not allowed to park in any of the maybe 6 stalls in the gated area. “ONLY street parking”, we were told. The photos in the listing are definitely when it was newly done because all the furniture was really run down, and half of the light bulbs throughout the space were burnt out. The host, Jenny, was accommodating with helping us with an early check in (at an additional fee of course) then did not respond to any messages at all once we did check in. Sad to say there was a GIANT discrepancy between the listing and our actual experience. We ended up paying for the 6 nights to only have been in there physically for 20 minutes total!
