Not happy with stay
The photos online were great. A bit misleading to know that no photos of the exterior or backyard weren’t provided as well. It’s an extremely old home, which is ok, but the condition of the home inside and outside was just poor. Immediately when we arrived we noticed outlet plates exposed, the locks to the outdoor patio and gates weren’t even operable, cobwebs all throughout the house (bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens) including the baseboards. The large cabinet in the kitchen wasn’t even fastened to the wall. And in the master bedroom closet as it turned out it was cat urine embedded in the floor that was masked by an air freshener. It took both my wife and I couple days to figure out what the smell was. Even the garage was a completely mess. Waking out to the garage the door was paper thin and didn’t even lock. That was never fixed when we were staying at the house but was documented and send to the owner. The only positive out of this bad experience was the owner sent his handyman out to fix the punch list items and I brought to his attention. And he did send out a landscape crew to come mix the grass because it was very long. This should have been done prior to our arrival. I, the renter, should not have been the one having documenting everything and requesting it be done while we’re in the house. Would I rent here again, NO, and for the price I could have a better experience at the hotel downtown the street and it was pet friendly as well.
