Enroute to Machu Pichu we had the pleasure of staying here. Efficient friendly and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet and more then adequate and serves early. We will definitely stay here again. Be sure to try the chocolateria Ruro just through Paprika the restaurant.
Overall, this property is what most of the other reviews say - great location near the square, beautiful property and rooms, truly excellent breakfast, a bit expensive but worth it, generally. However, DO NOT STAY ON THE FIRST FLOOR. I stayed with my family (wife and two children, 11 and 8) for two nights and had a terrible experience with noise. Basically my room was next to the lobby check in, as the first floor is a courtyard, all the first floor has doors that open to the courtyard. If you are reading this, you are probably going to Cusco to tour Maccu Piccu, and what you may not know is that many tours leave at 4:30 AM and many don't get back until well past 11pm. The courtyard is where everyone waits for the tours. So, if you are on the first floor, especially the side near the lobby, you hear EVERYTHING. I literally went out and bought earplugs. Of course I asked to move the room, but the staff said, "we have nothing available" the first night, and the second night, "well, we can move you, but the beds are much smaller for you and your children." Totally unhelpful and uncaring about the experience. If you look at my other reviews, I usually am pretty positive - but I simply can't be about this place. Try somewhere else, unless you can guarantee something away from the courtyard. And don't expect the staff to care if you can't sleep....
This hotel is highly recommended. Very close to the centre of Cuzco, located in an old vila, where the new architecture and designer meets the antique. The staff offered great service and the accomodation is fabulous, very cozy beds and delicious beddings.
This is a ramada hotell, it's good. Good TV service, god clean rooms, and free unlimted wifi. Also oxygen service, and a decent breakfest. It's what you expected when you pay a lot, and it gives you exactly that.
We stayed here for 3 nights and were very satisfied. The room was spacious, the bathroom and shower were very good and the building itself is beautiful. On the 4th floor we had lovely views over the rooftops of Cusco. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed our meals in the Paprika restaurant for dinner.
Very close to plaza and have good access to travel agencies Staff was very kind and The food was great Usual check in is 11 o'clock but I was allowed to check in hour earlier thankfully Considering the price Ramada is very good choice and i will definitely Stay here again
We stayed at Costa del Sol for 2 nights before our trek to Machu Picchu and 1 night after our trek. Both of our rooms were spacious and well maintained, and had a nice mix of modern conveniences mixed with historic details. The hotel is a quick walk to the central plaza, but far enough away that the hotel is quiet. All of the staff spoke very good English, greeted us every time we entered and exited the hotel, and gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities. They also held extra luggage for us for free while we were on our trek for 7 days. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I return to Cusco.
Good hotel with an average breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room I had was small but clean. Only real negative is that they only provide one small bottle of water in the bathroom that is not replaced daily. The hotel is also close to the main square where you can find restaurants and cafes.
This is a great place to base yourself for exploration of the city plus surrounding points of interest. The staff were fabulous and always keen to help those of our group that had altitude issues with cox ate a and even oxygen. The hotel was originally built by a Spanish official and this is highlighted throughout the hotel with paintings and family crests etc... the location is a short walk from the main plaza were there are huge choices for restaurants.
Depending on your budget, overall the hotel is in a good location accessible to the main plaza, restaurants and shopping and the rooms are ok. The staff were very curious and the breakfast was acceptable. However, the rooms were not as nice as I had hoped. The furnishing were tired and need updating. On our second day, we were able to get upgraded to the Colonial Suite w a king bed for an additional $50 per day. At first they said there was nothing available but when I showed them that rooms were still available on-line we were offered a Suite. It was spacious but furnishings such as the blue carpet needed to be replaced. Note: if you rent this room, run the water in the Jacuzzi tub 1st, drain and refill - I think the water had not been run in a while and it came out rusty at first. Cusco is magical and if I had known, I would have paid a little more to get the quality of room I was looking for like at the JW Marriott. Finally, to be fair in our review, we really were not in our room a lot, too much to see and do and the location was very good.
