Our first stay in Cusco was in a comparable hotel and left us very disappointed after even the first interaction with this hotel. We dropped by the hotel to drop off bags for storage and laundry prior to taking the Andean Explorer to Puno, and unlike the first hotel we stored our bags with before taking the train to Machu Picchu this was not a smooth process. We filled out paperwork, had our passports photocopied, and spent way too long waiting to complete what should have been a quick transaction. Upon our return, we had to do the same paperwork all over again (including the copies of our passports), which took three times longer than expected. We explained we had been delayed in our arrival and had less than an hour to make it to a shop we wanted to visit before they closed for the night and even this did not seem to affect their speed or processes. Finally I asked for the key as he was explaining the happy hour in progress and showed myself to the room so we could drop off bags and get where we needed to go. The hotel is a maze and this was definitely frustrating. The room was smaller than our other accommodations in town and most definitely in need of updating but fairly clean and with a functional air conditioning unit. We stayed for two nights and I wasn't impressed that the bottles of water in the bathroom for brushing your teeth wasn't replaced when the room was made up. When we asked to book the airport shuttle the morning we checked out, we found out that only ONE ride is included. Wow. Not a hotel I would ever recommend. Spend the extra money and stay in the more centrally located Palacio del Inka.
Visited Cuzco for five days and stayed at this hotel. Its very comfortable and offer breakfast from 4 am (most needed because guided tours to Machu Pichu and the Rainbow Mountain are early pick ups). Its a clean hotel. Very comfy 💕
We had breakfast every morning there because it was included, and we had the New Years dinner there too. Every time we ate there Noe was our waiter: excellent service, always smiling, always asking if we needed anything else, and explaining all the delicious Peruvian things they had.
Great location and great staff. Breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful. We arranged a taxi to take us to the ruins surrounding Cusco through the hotel and it was super easy and affordable. Our room was spacious for our 2 nights in Cusco.
I really have to thank again the service of the hotel, they were so friendly and especially when one of my sons had some problems with the altitude, they were really helpful so finally, the entire family enjoyed the stay here! The hotel is excellent, very clean and the food is more than good. We had a really comfortable stay during those 5 days and were happy when we came back from your tough day trips such as the alternative Rainbow Mountain trek with Roger. A great experience in Cusco and the hotel did its job to make our stay perfect!
Charming courtyard, good breakfast and the room we had was spacious and clean. Beautiful painting on the walls and our room faced the courtyard and was very quiet. We loved our welcome pisco sours!l And it is super close to the Plaza das Armas - a 4 minute walk. Really an all around good place to stay in Cusco.
This is a beautifully decorated hotel walking distance to Plaza de Armas. In reviewing this hotel I am somewhat torn in my review. The hotel itself was great! The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because our room was on the back of the hotel and there is a bar/restaurant/club nearby that played loud music until 4:30 pm. Not to mention there were horns honking outside the window until then as well. The beds were a little hard for my preference but we found them to be the same no matter where we stayed. As I said... great hotel, great staff... close to everything... just hard to sleep from the outside noise.
spent 3 nights here before and after our trip to Macchu Piccu. hotel service was friendly, a cute courtyard. breakfast offered was ok not amazing. very handy for walking about Cusco. the reception staff were great at checking on our tour arrangements
Thank you for a great stay - loved the courtyard for chilling with our friends and the relaxed feel. Great location no need to mention. Fab breakfast no need to mention but still... Probably the best buffet breakfast we have had through our 5 weeks journey in Peru. However, most importantly, huge thanks to Antonio who went to the extra effort of shipping my husband's hiking boots which we left behind.... Quick and efficiently and meant we could reach the top of Chachani volcano and lots of other great hiking here in Peru! Thank you so much for the stay and the great service! Best regards, Malene & Stephen
This might be long....but here goes. I will also write a review of the Costa Del Sol LIMA which was also AMAZING!! Costa Del Sol Brand seems to be the Hilton-esq, Four Seasons-esq. Ritz Carlton esq, type of properties in the country of Peru. From the greetings you get from everyone, the doormen being very professional helpful and proper, not one of their employees wants you to lift a finger (they want to do it all!!). Welcome drink at check in. Welcome desserts delivered to you shortly after (dont want to ruin the surprise! sorry!!). All the common areas are gorgeous and they have a high class yet historic touch, especially the center "lobby" area. It is an open air plaza type of lounge. Some lounge seating to relax and unwind a little bit. The location could not be any more ideal to enjoy the Plaza de Armas and the city in itself. You are conveniently located walking distance to the Plaza De Armas, cathedrals, restaurants and markets. The breakfast is the real deal!! They have a lot of options to choose from everyday including vegetarian and vegan options!! Their juices are fresh squeezed ( i didnt verify by asking but the last time I had fresh squeezed juice was as a child at grandmas house and this juice brought back GREAT memories!!) They also have some native women, weaving beanies and t shirts near the front of the hotel. One of the women had a newborn baby Llama with her and she let us take pictures with it. They also provide Coca Leaf Tea and bunches of the leaves complimentary at the Front Desk Office! I myself felt the symptoms coming on from time to time but feel that with the tea they provided all day long and the bunches of leaves they let me take to chew I was never overwhelmed or hit by the uncomfortable symptoms of altitude sickness. They have several common areas with fireplaces, chess games, TVs, or just sitting areas. The rooms are quaint, modern touches, nice bathrooms BUT relatively small. It didnt bother us (me anf my gf) as we were out and about all day both of the days we were here, so we truly needed just a place to shower and sleep. As mentioned nice bathroom (small) and nice room(small) with a comfy bed. Also had a window which you can fully open that didnt offer a view of any sort but was nice to have the fresh air in the room (not like in Vegas.) The service, location, quality, breakfast, welcome drink, common areas were all AMAZING!! The ONLY downside was the size of the rooms but if you plan on exploring Cusco then you wont be in your room much.
