We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Los Apus! The rooms were plain, but comfortable, clean, and had plenty of hot water. The highlight was the service. Everyone, including front desk staff, cooks, waiters, and housekeepers were extremely friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the flexibility in arranging boxed breakfasts for us the day we were leaving at 5am for a trek to Machu Picchu.
Stayed here acclimating and exploring Cusco. Quaint place with great service and a nice little breakfast. Perfect location for exploring cusco. The good: nice rooms, hit showers, comfy beds, good service, good breakfast buffet The bad: I has in a party of 4 with luggage and the free shuttle they sent only had one of our party's name and her name was butchered. Also the sign wasn't for the hotel which made things confusing. Also it was a small sedan and we were squeezed in with luggage on our laps for a dangerous ride through cusco.
This hotel is very comfortable and has a lot of character. We stayed in two rooms (before and after our trek) and they were each unique and very nice. The hotel is well located only a 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. It had the most extensive and best breakfast of any 3-star hotel on our trip to Peru, and they provided free bottled water in the room and unlimited coca tea in the lobby. The service was very good. Everyone spoke English and they gave us a bagged breakfast when we left early in the morning for our trek. The most amazing part though, was how they recognized my birthday. They figured out that it was my birthday from my passport information and surprised me at breakfast with a full-size cake with my name on it! I would have recommended the hotel regardless, but this personal touch made them even more memorable for me and made a birthday celebrated far from home special. The only hitch was that they did not pick us up from the airport, but this may have been a hitch with how my request was logged in booking.com, and in my opinion they redeemed themselves.
We spent 4 nights here overall on our recent trip to Peru and were very happy with our choice . The rooms were very comfortable and cozy and we were put in the same rooms on the 3 separate times we stayed and each time we returned, our stored luggage was also in the room . The building is old and nicely restored and decorated with beamed ceilings . Breakfasts were excellent too . I also agree that staff were super helpful and efficient although one of the younger guys on reception in the evenings was a little gormless but we would bbe very happy to stay again . The location was perfect too
Congratulations your hotel is a beautiful place to stay in Cusco. If I may only say this, it is not a place to stay if one has to work, since making phone calls from the room (at least with CLARO) is not possible and the WIFI connection is unfortunately too slow. Those are details and do not diminish in any way the excellent service of your whole team! Thank you!
Los Apus is in a great location, a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The room was comfortable and the staff really made us feel at home. Francisco and Lourdes were always there to help us with anything we needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cusco.
Front desk checkin process was just perfect. Room comfortable and clean, great value. Francisco, the waiter in charge of the last shift was kind and shows us the terrace where we could see an amazing view of the historic area of cusco! We highly recommend!!
Hotel is only a few blocks away from plaza de armas . Even though the property is not new, the room and bathroom looked very clean and organized. At morning, the hotel serves a buffet style breakfast with a variety of local fruits, cereals, hot and cold drinks etc.
family of five stayed in two rooms. The hotel is fantastic, it's quiet, and feels luxurious after staying in Cusco. The breakfast is great, hosted by the chef, Francisco, who will do just about anything to assure a perfect stay. He concocted an herb tea for our daughter with a GI bug. Breakfast has meat, eggs any way, yogurt with a variety of puffed grains. Best is a huge variety of novel fruits. The front staff was very helpful. It's only a few blocks from the main square.
Great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. This is a clean secure hotel that is close to everything in the old city of Cusco. Great complimentary breakfast. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The entry is up several steps and most of the rooms are up stairs also, so not handicap friendly. Otherwise an ideal place to stay in Cusco.
