Perfect getaway

This rental was everything we have been looking for in a VRBO in the Lake Glenville area. The location was so easy to find thanks to our host who went over and beyond with clear communication of the property. The house was spacious and well stocked just like being in our own home. We enjoyed the short walk to the lake with our fur baby. We are already planning our next visits! Thanks Lisa!

Great getaway

Loved our stay at this property for a long weekend getaway. Very clean property and a great location well situated to explore Cashiers and Highlands area. Communication and information about the area was top notch. We enjoyed several of the recommended hikes.

Great week at the lake!

The house is beautiful and very clean. Thank you to Lisa for being so communicative before and during our stay. Lake access and dock is great. Comfortable beds. Fantastic views from the deck. Everything we needed for a great week!

Beautiful views

This area is gorgeous. There are a lot of trails and waterfalls around to explore. The kayaks are great to have to explore or fish on the lake. It’s quiet and peaceful. The upper level of the house is very nice, pretty well equipped kitchen. Amazing views from the living room and the covered back deck. 20 min from Cashiers which is quaint with groceries, some restaurants, a brewery, some shopping. Just a beautiful area all around.

Cutest cabin on the lake with new renovations and super helpful owner

Our experience at Caribou Cabin was a 10/10!! We arrived at night but our cabin notes from Lisa were super helpful and thorough (provided to us weeks in advance)! The cabin renovations felt brand new and done well. Beautiful gas fireplace, new kitchen appliances and farmhouse sink, barn sliding doors, beautiful bathroom vanities high enough for us tall people, and comfy bedding and beds! The view from our master bed every morning was so amazing that we left our blinds open on the full glass doors so that we could soak in every sunrise over the lake. The yard was huge and I loved that it is cleared and grassy so that we could enjoy the walk around the property and the amazing firepit. Hubby built a huge fire that we had to enjoy from the covered roof back porch on the last night because it was raining. Lastly, the downstairs apartment was perfect for our teen! She loved having her own space. By the way, the highlight of our trip was visiting Arrowmont Stables for a horse trail ride through the mountains! Lisa has thought of it all from the farmhouse chic renovations to the detailed notes on things to do in the area! Thank you for helping us make lasting family memories!

Beautiful area

This home was nicely updated and was very clean. We enjoyed the fireplace and the expansive deck. The slope of the yard was rather steep- might not work for small children. The fire pit was awesome! Lisa was easy to communicate with…☺️

Amazing escape!

Walking into this home, you are immediately hit with just an absolutely stunning view. The home is gorgeous, clean, and relaxing. We are hoping to make this an annual stay. Lisa went above and beyond to keep us informed about everything included detailed information about the area. I highly recommend hiking to High Falls and renting a pontoon boat to explore Lake Glenville! Both the hike and marina are just minutes away. We came to escape for a few days and just fell in love with the area. We will be back to the Caribou Cabin!

Perfect Lake Vacation

The property was exactly as described. Perfect set up for a family if 5 with younger kids. Great that they had a boat slip so we didn't have to worry about the rental. All and all a great trip and rental. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

The house, the area, and the lake are very beautiful and offer a wonderful respite from the fast pace of life. The owner is extremely communicative and responsive and provides extensive information about the area and things to do.

Perfect North Carolina Mountain Home

We loved our stay in this beautiful mountain home. It is a pretty and very comfortable home with terrific views. Great access to hiking and local towns are easy to get to. Definitely recommend this spot.

What an amazing place!

This was our first time at Lake Glenville and what a wonderful and relaxing week we had! The house was perfect and had some beautiful views. I cannot put into words how stunning the sunrise was that we woke up to every morning. Lake access was so easy and we spent every day floating and kayaking and paddle boarding. The pup is a total lake doggie now! Lisa was so helpful in checking in on us and giving us tips on what to do. We will definitely be back!!
