This was a two-night stay while visiting the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament. It’s a perfectly fine place to sleep but bear in mind it’s a 3-star or so hotel. Don’t expect luxury but the TV worked fine and the room was clean. Staff did their best to be accommodating but they seem to be short-handed so be patient. There’s a microwave in the breakfast area. And very close by are a discount supermarket, CVS, McDonald’s, DQ, and Subway. Free parking in the lot right outside the front door.
Given how small Hanceville is, I didn't expect much. I initially thought about staying in Cullman, but the Quality Inn was close to the college where our grandson was playing baseball, so I changed my mind when I made our reservations. The clerk at the desk when I checked in was very friendly and when he noticed we were visiting from Arizona, we talked about his brother in the military stationed in Arizona. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, so we got a good nights sleep. We left before breakfast because we had a long drive to Oklahoma City, but the breakfast area looked clean and it looked like they offered a fair variety of hot and cold items. If our grandson wasn't changing colleges next year, we'd definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff and nice clean room, very basic rather poor quality breakfast, even the coffee was sub par, I settled for a biscuit and cup of coffee, the gravy part of biscuits and gravy looked a few days old
This was located next to the community college my lecture was at. There were several places to eat nearby. Very clean and quiet. The breakfast wasn't anything special, just your average cereal, bagels, toast etc.
The lovely lady at the front desk checked me in a few hours early since my room was ready. Very quite hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was okay, about what you would expect with a free hotel breakfast. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
The front desk attendant was extremely pleasant upon arrival and processed our check in rather quickly as she asked about our drive to Hanceville, AL. The room was spacious and very clean. In the morning we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that provided a very good selection of foods. The manager made a point to speak to us and was extremely sweet! At check out Monica asked how our stay was and wished us a safe trip back home. She was so thoughtful and a sweet young lady. We will definitely return to this hotel if/when we are in the area.
Just woke up to find my bed crawling with bedbugs. Stay anywhere but here. See the attached picture. Took 1 minute to catch this many bedbugs. All live and crawling. Not sure what I will do at this time of the morning, but I am taking these bugs to the front desk.
For a hotel located off the major interstate routes and in rural Alabama, this is a surprisingly nice hotel. Convienent to a bunch of restaurants with ample well lite parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable too. I would choose to stay here again.
I found this place to be very clean and quite comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The price of the room was very reasonable. It is also the closest to the Shrine. We could not have had a better experience!
There is nothing truly special about the hotel, except the staff. They are friendly, helpful. Breakfast was good, and Wi-Fi was fast. Bed was comfortable, and hotel was quiet. If you have a lot of luggage ask for a first floor room, there is no elevator.
