Room 105 a/c loud noise, light didn’t work, mold bathroom, handwash sink clogged, and shower floor had a nail and no shower curtain. Dirty sofa full of sand. This should never be rented in that condition.
Pro: Location and staff were great. Easy walk to ferry dock and to the taxis to Flamenco beach. Attached restaurant had good drinks, food, and service. Con: Mattress needed an upgrade
Budget accommodation in the center of the only village on the island. Within walking distance of the airport. All major beaches are within walking distance and easy golf cart reach should you rent one. One of the few restaurants of the island is on the premises, more restaurants and a little corner store are nearby.
Great experience and very friendly service. Thoughtful breakfast and very helpful ladies. I would stay there again
Very simple but clean rooms — exactly as advertised and what you pay for. If you swore by Lonely Planet in your twenties you will feel right at home at Mamacita’s. We stayed on the second floor and our two rooms shared a cute little terrace overlooking the canal — very pretty. The bed left something to be desired (very soft foam mattress without enough frame support) — but that may be moot soon as the hotel staff said they will renovate the rooms in early 2022. Worth noting that it is directly over the restaurant — that turned out to be convenient and not a problem since the restaurant closed at 9 pm, but if hours change post-Covid that might be an issue. Overall, just what we were looking for.
The staff is just incredibly rude and could use a course in hospitality. They couldn’t even put on a smile for you, and would say they were closing the bar and then for another 2 hours the staff would just drink the night away instead of attending a paying customer for just one drink and we’d be on our way. Meanwhile there were a bunch of American tourists still sitting and they refused to attend Puerto Rican guests. The room also had beg bugs we discovered as we all had gotten them at one point. Wifi was not functioning either. We ate at their restaurant once and they waited an hour to tell me that what I ordered wasn’t available and I was really looking forward to it. This happened twice actually which was just crazy. This place needs new management, better training, and just a whole revamping because it could really be a popping place and it’s just a shame!
Nice place to stay; this is our second time staying at Mamacita's. They had updated the rooms and looked nice. Staff is very friendly and attentive. On the premises they have a cute restaurant and food is pretty good.
Food reminded me of military food, most employees were rude. They lied about the types of rooms they offered.
Cute place need hooks in bathroom to hang towels or robe. Maybe hooks in bedroom . Mirror to shave
Great spot for 1st stay on Culebra , to learn about island
Location is great, not far from the ferry and on the canal connecting the bay and the ferry. The restaurant is tasty and affordable. Drinks are a bit expensive, but strong. Rooms have great views and check out the rooftop for a full 360 view of the island & town.
Nice hotel, very clean, walking distance to restaurant, beach and stores.
Nice stay. Very clean room. Smell good, the food is very good to.
El colchon dañado se hunde. Pedi cambio de habitacion y el otro colchon estaba en peor condicion. Las empleadas gritan en la manana y el restaurante pesimo servicio y calidad.
