We had a wonderful stay at this holiday house and would happily return. It was fantastic that our dog was welcome and the large gated backyard made it perfect for her to enjoy safely. The outdoor gazebo was a real highlight, creating a relaxing, chilled atmosphere to unwind in. The location was excellent. The second bedroom is in a separate stand-alone building adjacent to the main house. The only thing missing was a dishwasher, which would help ensure more consistent cleanliness of plates and cutlery. Overall, a lovely getaway in a great setting.

Disappointed in this host bribing guests for 5 star reviews

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but this morning I received two messages from the host saying that if I leave a 5 star review, I will get 50. This to me seems super disingenuous and unfair to future guests who are being lied to. Our *honest* review on this stay is that it was 3/5. The house was clean (5/5 there), however ammenities were flimsy and cheap (all Kmart brand) which made using them hard. There were no scissors, knives were too blunt to use, plates so cheap they were paper thin and see through. It is clear this house was designed for aesthetics over practicality, and is not one actually lived in by the hosts. Further more two important things to note is 1) the second bedroom is completely seperate to the house and actually in the garage. If you were planning to travel with kids, be aware you will be in two seperate areas (main house and garage, with two seperate entry ways / doors). 2) while there is a fenced in backyard, this doesn’t connect to the house (there is no door in the house leading to a secure outside area). If you have your dog and want to have them inside and outside, or leave the door open for them while your inside, there’s no way to secure them, and they can easily walk onto the road or wander off.

Cosy getaway

Well-maintained property, furnished to a high standard with everything you need. Separate annex for second bedroom and bathroom good for privacy. Great outdoor space at front of property with pagoda, dining area and BBQ and secure garden at rear of property for dogs. Great location on quiet and private street in walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. Good base for exploring.

Quiet Central Culburra Beach

Walking distance to shops and beach. The house is small. Could do with extra kitchen utensils and appliances such as a stick vac, silicone spatulas, microwave dishes with lids, an electric frypan and a large pot with a lid. Needs a deep clean, especially the lounge, rug, carpets and windows. Would be nice to have small additions such as firewood and ice in the freezer neither of which was on hand when we arrived. Overall though, a good location. Quiet. Bed is comfy. Netflix was a welcome inclusion. Wifi is terrible but I believe that's the area, not specific to this dwelling.

Perfect weekend away

Clean, comfortable and relaxing space. Perfectly equipped with everything we needed, very secure and big back yard for our Lab Harry. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back again one day.

Mid week stay

Close to local shops and restaurants. Newly and nicely renovated. Nice pagoda in the front yard for relaxing. Second bedroom is seperate in renovated garage, which could make it convenient for couples wanting some privacy as it is physically seperate from the main house. Dog friendly is a plus, but there are gaps under the house in the rear yard that small dogs (we have dachshund) could escape which was a bit disappointing. Overall a nice house.

Within an hour of arrival we had a old guy show up with his dog to drop off a bin to put our recyclables in. Gave us his life story. Told him to come back later in the week to pick it up. Second day same guy shows up with another bin basically walked up to the back door. Called the property management and was basically told I didn't deal with this issue properly. Next day another guy shows up to tell us the old guy wont be back but we need to mow the lawn as its overgrown. Told him to come back another day. Went away for some quiet time and obviously couldn't get it so we left a day early. Property management was dismissive of all my concerns and refused to offer any form of compensation. I guess we were just unlucky this time. Would not stay there again.

A comfortable house at Culburra Beach

We really enjoyed our stay at Pagoda Culburra Beach. The house was clean and fresh. It was a comfortable space, and we loved the extra provisions, such as milk and butter in the fridge, coffee machine and pods, sauces, salt & pepper etc. We used the outdoor pagoda each evening, and again it is spacious and with great furniture and bbq. The separate bedroom and bathroom worked well for us, as we were two couples. We could enjoy the shared living spaces, then have privacy at night. One small thing - The remote for the living room TV was tricky, and we could only have the sound at one level (fairly loud) or mute. Great house for a coastal stay.

Lovely spot for a cosy long weekend

We really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace on the massive comfy couch on a wintery weekend. The kitchen was also very well stocked with new utensils which made cooking easy. The backyard was very secure for our dogs. We have no recommended the house to friends of ours as we found it to be such a great spot.
