Disliked: Cleanliness
The property is advertised as being local and central to amenities. It is in the middle of nowhere. There is a shop 4km away down a motorway but not accessible by walking which we were assured. On arrival we found the villa had not been cleaned and beds were unmade. When the cleaning team came, they only washed the bedding from the master bedroom. The pool man only attended once in the week on the Tuesday. We cleaned the pool the rest of the time, it was not cleaned prior to our arrival and only once during our stay despite the hosts insistence it's cleaned at least twice weekly. There were multiple items broken inside the villa (shower, bedsheets etc) including a pool tile that left two of my children injured and one needing medical attention. The cleaners were rude and we had no contact prior to our arrival.Once the host found out we had contacted VRBO re the injury to my daughter, they proceeded to harass us and be verbally insulting for 4 days. The villa is overpriced and dirty with no shops in the local area. The holiday was saved by an amazing local bar a few steps from the front door and a very kind and helpful local community.
