The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we booked a guided kayak tour and it was amazing and our guide Zach was very knowledgeable and helpful. I read the hotel reviews prior to arrival and the most common negative comments were no coffee pot and slippery tubs and I agreed with them, everything else was great. But due to the review, I just brought my own coffee pot and while we were there the cleaning staff brought a rubber mat to solve the slippery tub. I will definitely stay at Paddletail Lodge if ever in Crystal River again.

Hidden gem
Great location on water with super friendly staff. Rooms are updated and comfortable. Only suggestion would be firmer pillow but that’s a personal preference. Comfortable lodge/lobby with great coffee shop. Don’t be deceived by the low rise off the main drag location. This place is wonderful. Nothing fancy but well maintained and such nice people.

Beautiful location-exceeded my expectations. On the water, nice pool, really nice lobby with breakfast cafe opening at 6 AM. Exceptionally nice staff. Crackers restaurant, on the property, is fantastic with perfect outdoor seating on the water. I was traveling alone and tired after a day of activities so great to just walk steps to eat. Wait staff were very, very nice. Lodge was so close to kayaking and manatee swim locations. Room was very comfortable with plenty of towels and toiletries, microwave and fridge.

There is no coffee in the rooms, which is unacceptable. The property is affiliated with a coffee shop in the lobby, so zero coffee in the rooms. Note the coffee shop in the lobby is a completely different building, two blocks from the room. Inconvenient at best to get dressed and take a stroll to find coffee. Unacceptable.
