Great location, with easy access to gothic road leading to hiking and biking trails.The property had an excellent main level for the family to prepare/enjoy meals and views! Separate level for MBR was nice as well. Plenty of space for our party of four adults to be comfortable. Use of garage to store bikes during our stay was helpful.

great stay at a great location

the free first tracks shuttle service makes access to and from the base very easy for skiing. hot tub is great and very scenic.driveway can get a bit icy on the downhill side, so just watch your step

Perfect

Location is great, all amenities were excellent. It’s really only about a 10 minute walk to get into the base area for skiing. The hot tub was excellent, and sitting on the deck looking at Mount crested Butte was a perfect way to end every day.

Lots of stairs!

We enjoyed crested butte. The house has a lot of stairs. The master bedroom is on 3rd floor. Kitchen and Greatroom 2nd floor. The other 2 bedrooms on the main floor that you walked into. These 2 rooms are small. No yard. Small outdoor decks. It was very clean. The floor plan did not work for our group. You had to go up stairs or down stairs.

One of my favorite places I’ve stayed!

This house was amazing in every aspect. My husband and I visited Crested Butte for fall colors. The house has a great location with everything we needed plus some. We took full advantage of the hot tub and enjoyed Star gazing while soaking in the evenings. The views were amazing. The house was exceptionally clean. We’re looking forward to visiting again!

Perfect location, great amentities

Our stay was incredible. The location of this property is 10/10. It’s super easy to get to the mountain - you can walk or take the bus. The bus is a 2 minute ride. Very well equipped kitchen so you don’t have to leave the place after a long day of skiing. Fireplace and hot tub are both the icing on the cake!

A local Gem on the mountain

Communication with the owner of the property was spot on before, during and after. The home was a very short bus ride to the lifts and stopped right outside of the house. The beds were very comfortable and we had all everything we needed including dog sheets/blankets to help protect the home. We would love to visit and stay again next year. Thank you!

Amazing all around!

This was possibly my favorite property that I have ever rented! Such a beautiful home and in a prime location. We could walk to the mountain or easily hop on a shuttle. Breathtaking views of Mt Crested Butte right out the living room window. We would absolutely want to stay here again and will try to come back to see it in summer!

Our family of 5 had such a great stay at this house! It was great to catch the bus at the end of the driveway each day to ski, the kids loved sledding down the hill each afternoon, & we all enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day. The house had everything we needed & beautiful mountain views!

Perfect location with beautiful views

My husband and I cam to Crested Butte CO to get out of the Texas heat. I also learned to ski here and wanted to share mountain and beautiful valleys here. We liked it so much we are planning a ski trip this year to Mount Crested Butte. We would have booked this house but it was already booked. Elizabeth knew we were planning a birthday dinner and recommended The Sunflower and it was perfect! Thanks Elizabeth! The house as everything you need for a pleasurable stay. The weather was perfect with a few showers that cooled us off. I highly recommend this house for families traveling with their little pups, kids or friends!

Great long weekend stay

We loved our time at the property. Really appreciated the deck with the hot tub, as well as the higher deck for sitting and relaxing. There were plenty of towels, kitchen dish ware, and other supplies. There were people staying at the attached apartment, but we never heard them. Elizabeth had spot on recommendations for our family for spending time in Crested Butte and restaurants. Can’t wait to come back.

Perfect weekend getaway

Perfect Cozy Chalet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Whetstone Cottage. We had stayed here a few years ago and were looking forward to a repeat visit. The new owners have kept the house the same but with the welcome addition of a king size bed in the master bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking several meals there. We also enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. It was nice to stay in a very comfortable pet friendly house! We will be back!

Perfect Getaway!

Our family spent the new year in this gorgeous home! We could not have been more pleased with absolutely everything. Elizabeth is the nicest owner and is very prompt when communicating.
