Cozy Quiet Year-Round Cottage on the Lake w/ Hot Tub

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage year-round. Sleeps 7+ pull-out couch. Close to the city! The cabin is waterfront in the quiet village of Sandy Beach, AB. Enjoy sunsets on the deck, spend time on the water, relax in the hot tub, outdoor seating areas or explore the forest. Paddle boards, pedal boat and kayak are available to rent during your stay. Bring your ATVs as there is a community forest across from the house with trails and acres to enjoy! Fun for the whole family! Waterfront property just steps away from acres of forest for your enjoyment year-round. Great for a quiet escape from the city, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery, ATVs, skidoos, hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

There are 3 bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a bunk bed and trundle bed to sleep 3. The main area is open concept with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. The couch coverts into an additional sleeping space as a hide-a-bed. There are 1.5 bathrooms, a tub/shower combination. Laundry also on site.

Enjoy the morning sun in the front yard which is gated from all sides, relax in the hammock enjoying the forest and flower gardens. The backyard has a large deck equipped with a barbecue. There is a beautiful cast iron stove to enjoy fires right on the deck. There is comfortable seating to relax, enjoy the fire, take in the beautiful lakefront scenery, eat and enjoy each other’s company! This opens to a large green space with a fire pit near the patio off the boathouse. There is a quiet, resident-maintained sandy beach right off the boathouse

There is a 6-person Hot Tub off the back deck for optimal relaxation while enjoying the beautiful surroundings day or night. The Hot Tub is offered year-round with beautiful views of the quiet lake and west-facing sunsets!

We have a 16 foot by 48 inch above ground pool to cool off on hot summer days. **** seasonal pool setup is weather dependent — generally above 10 degrees Celsius overnight temperatures consistently **** .

The backyard opens up to the waterfront where you can watch sunsets, relax on the patio, cool off in the pool, enjoy the beach, the view and wildlife or access the water off our dock for non-motor sports such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or skating and ice hockey in the winter months. We have a dock which allows for easier water access. The lake is a bird lovers paradise, many species to observe, hear their beautiful sounds and enjoy! Bring your own non-motorized water equipment to launch right off the beach or rent *** our paddle boards, pedal boat or one person kayak.
*** we do not provide firewood for outdoor fires, we can provide outdoor wood for a fee with one week notice otherwise please plant bring your own.
*** access to the boathouse and water equipment included seasonally with all stays 3 nights or more
*** Rental fee for stays less than 3 nights.. Sandy Lake and its surroundings are peaceful and quiet, the lake itself is in a drought and quite shallow. This means conditions are not good for swimming or fishing. Non-motor sports can be enjoyed depending on water levels so they are not guaranteed. Swimming is available nearby at Long Island Lake (approx 1 hour ** great day park and beach), Lac St Anne (approx 25 min) or Wabumun (approx 30 min).
The cabin is heated and features a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a washing machine, and a fireplace.

Sara’s cabin is very clean and cozy. It has everything you need to stay for a week or a weekend. Lots of room for sleeping and activities inside and out. The hot tub was really nice with lights above it and the water was nice and clean. The deck and yard were large with lots of space to play outside or hang out and enjoy the weather.

This cottage is exactly as pictured quiet, peaceful, and beautifully set right on the lakeshore. Sara was incredibly responsive and provided clear, concise instructions that made checking in and settling in effortless.It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind. We spent most of our time outdoors on the deck, soaking in the view, listening to the silence, and just being. The wood-burning stove was perfect in the evenings, and the hot tub was a dream first thing in the morning.You don’t need to bring much just yourself, some food, and a willingness to relax and enjoy. We thoroughly loved our stay.

We really enjoyed our time at this very quiet place. We'd recommend booking a mid-week stay. Our first days we saw very few people. The stove on the deck was a hit along with the hot tub and pool. There's a perfect spot at the back of the stove for roasting marshmallows and popping corn. Sara was a fantastic host! We'd highly recommend this lovely spot.

We have rented this Sandy Lake cabin for a couple of years now. Every time we have come we feel like it's home. It's a beautiful cabin and the view out the living room window of the lake is so beautiful in the morning, and the evening, sunrise and sunset. You have everything you need to spend a comfortable few nights with friends or family. And the hot tub is a bonus. I recommend you stay and enjoy some relaxation.

Relaxing family get away!

My family and I wanted a place to relax and spend time together without everyday burden of housework and all the distractions. This was a great place for just that! We spent lots of time in hot tub, made a fire in the fireplace & played board games. My kids want to come back in summer with a few cousins to try out the pool and lake.

Sooooo peaceful!

I know we stayed midweek but we so enjoyed the peace and quiet which allowed us to hear the birds and watch the muskrats paddle around. Beautiful little getaway

We were looking for a place close to the city, but far enough to get away from city life- this place is absolutely AMAZING. The sun sets at the back of the cabin- perfect for sunset watching. Home away from Home

There were 4 of us - women's weekend away and this is our 3rd time being here. Sara & Randy are excellent hosts, and are an instant phone call away when we have a question or need anything. The cottage was a perfect location for a weekend getaway!!! It was perfect for relaxing, cooking, watching the sunset from the hot tub - nothing was missing. Everything we needed was there with clean, comfortable rooms, a full kitchen and a fantastic view. We will be back and can't wait till we can take in the peace and quiet. Perfect Escape from the Hustle & Bustle

Beautifully appointed, quiet, comfortable, relaxing. Visited during winter season and especially enjoyed luxuriating in the hot tub. Kitchen was perfect and well stocked for cooking meals and even doing some Christmas baking. Host was clear and instructions were simple. Would definitely come back!
