The property had some positives, but unfortunately there were enough maintenance and cleanliness issues that I would not choose to stay here again in its current condition.The main issue was that the couch, which was the only “comfortable” seating in the living room, was extremely uncomfortable and had a couple of 2x4 boards underneath the cushions, providing zero support and the cushions sank in, making the couch pretty much unusable. There were many other small cleanliness or maintenance issues: the couch pillows had a significant amount of pet hair on them, outdoor folding chairs were ripped/broken and essentially unusable, hot tub had sand or dirt accumulated on the bottom and was not filled to the appropriate level, an upstairs screen door came off its tracks, we found both a dirty drinking glass and a cracked glass, the TV remote batteries were dead, and the Roku remote was so worn that the button labels were no longer visible.Any one of these things would have been relatively minor, but together they gave us the impression that the property and its amenities were in need of more maintenance and attention between guests.The owner accommodated an early checkin and checkout. The lake itself was beautiful and peaceful. The location/property may have a lot of potential, but based on our experience, I think prospective guests should be aware of the current condition of some of the furnishings and amenities when deciding whether to book.
