Looked for hotel out of city center With secure parking Found this holiday inn express Quick and easy check in Very friendly staff Very clean rooms Highly recommended Off the highway Will definitely b back
We had an excellent night in this hotel. The room was super clean. The bed was very comfortable. All fine and for a good price. Some restaurants are situated at walking distance for dinner The coffee for breakfast was excellent.
It is not exactly in Dijon but in Sainte Apollinaire (just before the road signal of Dijon). You need 5 minutes by car to reach the center or a 20 minute walk and then 10 minutes by streetcar. So if you plan to visit Dijon and stay just one night you had better choose an hotel closer to the center. If you plan to stay two or more nights the choice might be good. The swimming pool is very small, just your kids could appreciate it: do not count on it to enjoy a moment of relax. Our room was comfortable (with a small sofa) and breakfast was standard. There is nothing around the hotel, just two restaurants. If you happen to stay here, do not miss the opportunity to visit the memorial built on the site where French partisans were shot during WWII. It is just along the street getting to the streetcar stop.
At last a reasonably priced hotel in France near an autoroute that isn't a pre fab that has hard beds and smells of smoke! The HI Express in Dijon was well priced with secure parking, it offers the standard and comfort you would expect of a Holiday Inn and facilities and good service to match. Buffet breakfast is included in the price and whilst it has no restaurant there is a bar and there are 3 restaurants outside the hotel and reception give you a 15% discount voucher for one and 10% on another. Rooms clean and fresh, beds comfortable and 'proper' walls and windows for a quiet nights sleep.
Disappointed with the position of this hotel. Very basic, situated behind a 3meter high metal fence it reminded me of a modern day prison compound. Off putting that they need such a fence. Hotel 15€ taxi fare from the centre. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable and with tea & coffee facilities, rare for continental hotels. Stay again? Unlikely.
We stayed at this hotel on our way from Calais to the Alps as an overnight stop over. We were very pleasantly surprised how clean and nice the hotel is, some of the holiday inn's in the UK are a bit lacking but this hotel is wonderful. The rooms are very nice with a reasonable amount of room and good furnishings and facilities. There are three restaurants right outside the hotel, a Quick burger chain, a CourtPaille grill and finally a fish restaurant. We opted for the Quick and it has the large tv order screens which have an English button so we didn't have to make hand gestures at the counter. We walked into the centre of Dijon which took about 40 mins. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and hope to return in the future.
All the employees are very nice, free hifi fast and stable, a swimming pool small but enough to refresh in a hot day. Is near all the main access and with restaurants two minutes away on foot. I really like our stay there, but our interest is not in the center of Dijon, I don't know is this is a good hotel for those of would like to visit that town.
Our second stay at this Holiday Inn as an overnight stay on a return journey. Access from the motorway is incredibly straightforward and despite the fact it is in a busy area, we have had no problem with noise on either of our stays-incredibly quiet given it's position. We ate at the fish restaurant just a very short walk away and had a pleasant if unremarkable meal. Would recommend as an easy choice for a stopover.
Was there for 2 days and one night and would say that the room are exceptionally small..and if you have got a big suitcase, then its impossible to move around in the room.Staff was also not so friendly ...overall not a very good experience ....
