Thank you, Hotel Su Lithu for a beautiful stay in Bitti. We came for Bitti's 'Autunno in Barbagia' festival and had a great time. Hotel is in a picturesque location on the hillside above town, only a >5 minute walk to the town's center. The breakfast spread at the hotel's restaurant is huge and very good. The restaurant's dinner menu was also what we were looking for: a well-priced selection of authentic, local dishes. Our room itself was clean and comfortable, with a gorgeous and well secluded balcony. The hotel's decor is unique and feels very Sardinian. All service was friendly and attentive. Overall, great value for money and would highly recommend.
Set in the heart of Sardinia, off the tourist track. The hotel is full of history with old artefacts all out on show. We spent ages just wandering the place and browsing. It's a small hotel and the service is very personal. Food is authentically Sardinian and served on a terrace with panoramic views. It's quiet and peaceful and the perfect place to unwind.
Cosy hotel with a nice location overlooking the village/mountains. 17 km from the main road, bit uphill but nothing dramatic and definitely worth the de-route! Many cosy places around the hotel to sit and relax, nice room with authentic Italian atmosphere, nice restaurant with good Italian food. Colorful and many different small things to look at all around. Topped with the fact that the personnel were exceptionally kind - receptive, helpful and serviceminded. We will definitely come back!
Nice hotel, but expensive for what it brings. Far from the sea side, with nothing around. Food is not good, avoid dinning there, and breakfast not at the standard of a 4 star hotel. Nice swimming pool.
A warm welcome. Nice people in Both reception and restaurant. Fantastic view over Bitti. We enjoyed our stay whereabouts we also uset the restaurant vers much as one has to drive long for good food. The food was good, but also at a price which didn't match.
Beautiful hotel, staff was always very helpful and friendly, we had a room with a nice panoramic view over the town of Bitti and the mountains, it was great to have dinner on the terrace with that same view.
On our tour in Sardinia we stayed for two nights in hotel Su Lithu. When we arrived the was a wedding party with over 200 people going on. Despite the big wedding we were able to check in and had a tasty lunch on the terrace outside. Hotel Su Lithu has a good restaurant. Unfortunately, there is little to do in Bitti however hotel Su Lithu is a good base to explore the area. We had a nice panoramic room with balcony overlooking Bitti.
We wished we could have stayed here for longer. Stayed here for two nights in May 2017. The rooms with a balcony and view over the town were perfect, clean, spacious and well decorated. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Meals were something to look forward to each day, both breakfasts and dinners. The evening meals especially, were traditional Sardinian fare, but very enjoyable and satisfying. In the area around the hotel there are several historic ruins to visit plus glorious scenery to view and tour around. What more could you ask for in this area of Sardinia. Thoroughly recommended.
A lovely hotel with amazing views over Bitty. Just make sure that you are getting a room facing the village The staff is great, from the receptionist to the cook, they all make the extra effort and with a smile
We chose this hotel as it appeared to be (and was) a haven from the main tourist centres. Although quite modern looking it is well furnished in traditional style inside. Our room and balcony overlooked the town and valley, but it shouldn’t be a great problem if you don’t get a “room with a view” as there are several large balconies for guests (bar, restaurant etc.) to sit and enjoy the view. Our room was fairly standard 4* in size and facilities. We didn’t watch any TV but did notice the flat screen was barely laptop size. Housekeeping and cleanliness was to a good standard and all hotel staff polite. For this class of hotel in Sardinia the prices were very reasonable. By chance I came across a corridor/gallery displaying some fine local artwork and costumes that blended the traditional with the very modern. As it was well worth seeing I asked if I could take my wife to see. They seemed strangely reluctant, just taking us to the door to peer down the unlit passageway. This was most odd, not reflecting the otherwise good service. We had three meals daily in the restaurant, breakfast was a decent buffet, but lacking many hot food options. A good number of choices were available for lunch, always tasty and well presented. Dinner was of similar good standard; the only issue was with “Roast Beef” one night. It looked like well-prepared medallions of beef but had the texture and taste of a dog’s rubber bone! Virtually inedible to us but perhaps, of course, this may be how the Sardinian like their beef! There did seem to be some tension amongst the restaurant staff but this in no way effected the standard of customer service. As others have said you need a car, but don’t take it into town. The roads and paths between the hotel and the town are very steep, you have to be very careful walking down and quite fit to walk back! Try and get a town map with street names on to help you navigate the maze of streets. Although street corners don’t always have the street names many house numbers do include the street name. Incidentally, Google Street View seems to have been taken during mid-siesta on a bad day, it’s not as bad as it seems. If we return to Sardinia the Su Lithu would again be our peaceful haven.
