Shortly before our vacation I had a big stomach surgery, so we were unable to go for the booked dates to Pitrizza Hotel. For that reason we called the hotel and asked them to postpone our booking indicating we are more than willing to pay the difference in price. Unfortunately, Mr Masolini and his staff declined changing the dates of our booking „because we booked a reduced rate via booking.com“ (we indicated we are willing to pay the difference in price). This is highly unacceptable for a five star hotel and not customer friendly at all. We were willing to seek a compromise with the hotel, and we were simply ignored. We are multiple Starwood customers and will complain for the behavior of Mr Masolini to the chain via official complain letter. We can only recommend not to book this hotel.
We went there twice, coming from Cervo Hotel in Porto Cervo. Quieter than Romazzino, with a more mature clientele. Again, beautiful grounds and infinity pool. Pitrizza is a quite windy location and therefore cooler. We ate at the bar both times. All SPG properties in Costa Smeralda offer lunches at €200 pp in their restaurants, half if an SPG member. obviously not for everyone. Bar is a great option, more relaxed and with beautiful coast views. nonetheless be prepared to pay €30 for a pizza and €10 for a coffee. Apart from this great service all over and fantastic atmosphere.
I don’t know where to start! Team, food, location, atmosphere, privacy... all in one place! We came there early in the morning. Mrs. Antonella welcomed us and was very nice! She gave us our rooms before checkin time and even offered us to have a breakfast! The team in the bar and restaurant are fantastic! Mr. Massimo is one of the nicest hotel team member we ever seen! Funny, charming, nice and helpful! Also mr. Peppino was very helpful and kind! All the team are always with a smile and helping you in a minute! Taxi, restaurants and all needed! The pool and beach are clean and very quiet! You can really rest! Mr. Fabrizzio helped us choosing nice activities in the sea! Kids (and adults) enjoyed a lot! He is right in the beach. Very nice person and offering good activities! Food is top! Fresh, clean and very tasty! Alex from toy club is AMAZING! My kids didn’t want to leave her! She made their stay a big fun and joy! Rooms are clean and very Sardinian style! We loved our stay and highly recommend! Top! ❤️
We spent a couple of days in this fantastic hideaway. The hotel is beautifully located at a private beach. It is the ideal place to relax with fantastic service. Massimo and his team are doing everything for the guests, with Italian charme and a personal note. The cuisine is excellent! Gym is ok, and Fabrizio is the best wakeboard teacher one can imagine. This place is really recommendable and it is one more proof that beautiful Sardinia can compete with every destination in the world!
Everything was perfect! A paradise for the whole mind and body! Worth every minute of our stay. One special mention to Fabrizio, head of the Luxury Sports facility, who brings a whole array of fantastic water sports apparels. A lot of exclusive gears and machines to experience, in all safety and a reliable instructor. One other, sporty, reason to rush to the place!
To read any negative reviews regarding the Hotel Pitrizza blows my mind. This is truly my happy place and heaven on earth. The scenery is pure art and breathtaking, the clearest blue & emerald water, the food is Michelin star quality and Sir Maurizio and his team ( Patricia, Ellen, Pepino, Monica, Massimo and so many others) offer a world Class Service. I will come back here every year for the rest of my life if I can. This is truly the best hotel in Sardinia ( I have been to most) and one of the best in the world! See you soon, Christie x
The Pitrizza is situated in a wonderful secluded bay. The rooms are large and neutral, but the amount of steps and the layout makes it inaccessible to any guests with limited mobility. The personnel at the reception do not offer pick ups on the golf cars, and they give priority to the cleaning team. Everything is overpriced and drinks by the pool are a real extortion. The beach is meant to be private, however you get constantly harassed by people trying to sell counterfeit luxury goods coming from the beach next door. This is meant to be one of the best hotels in Porto Cervo and I can see the potential but they are far from it. If they want to keep Costa Smeralda attractive to well traveled guests, this hotel and all the others, need to elevate the level of service and stop using guests as cash cows.
Stayed there with my wife for 5 nights for her Birthday weekend. We stayed in one of the Unique One Bedroom Villas. €5400/night was rather expensive compared to comfort, quality, service. First night our private pool was broken and there was a knocking sound coming from the roof all night. The next day our room was changed which to another villa which was perfect. The manager kindly gave us a discount for the first night. The villas are very nice, new and comfortable, however the rest of the hotel is so old and run down. This entire property needs a makeover. General service from staff in the hotel was excellent. I will definitely be back however only to stay in the villas.
We stayed in Pitrizza between 22/09/2017 - 01/09/2017 for 9 nights. Our intention was to stay for 12 nights. Unfortunately when we did the booking in mid august there was no availability for 12 nights. That's why we had to spend the first three nights in Le Palme Resort located near Pitrizza. We stayed in 2 Premium Rooms. During our stay in Pitrizza we never had a negative experience and all the services we got were in the level we would expect to have in a Luxury Collection resort. I made our booking breakfast and bed since i was aware that there are many perfect restaurants around where we could have ultimate dinner and lunch experience. While we were checking in Pitrizza we were informed about the so called "Dine Around" programme. For 70 euros per day for lunch and 70 euros per day for dinner we could have an upgrade to full board with chance to have dinner/lunch in other restaurants of the company. Such as Il Pescatore, Pergola, Cala Di Volpe and Romazzino restaurants. I decided that this is a good deal and made the upgrade. We did not regret this decision since we had perfect dinners in all those restaurants. The rooms we stayed were in perfect condition. The amenities in the rooms were more than enough. The cleaning service worked faultlessly. There rooms were located on the top of the hill and had a very nice panoramic view. The exterior finishing materials used while building the resort were in perfect harmony with the natural beauty of the land plot. The buildings located between our rooms and the sea had green roofs and therefore were not spoiling the view. The resort is one of few in this area who has a private beach which in my opinion is a major factor while choosing a location for the vacation. All staff members were polite and helpful. Our favourite from staff was Peppino from Napoli(the head Waiter) in the restaurants. We used to have vacations in the Mediterranean region quite some time ago. Based on our previous experience we were expecting warmer weather in the end of September. The weather was colder than our expectations. The next time we will try to arrange a period 2-3 weeks earlier than this time. We shall be looking forward to stay in this perfect resort again.
Having stayed at the different Luxury collection before, I was surprised in this hotel and it felt like in a “Super Luxury collection”! People at the front desk were incredible and made our stay memorable, giving us a great upgrade. We were there for my daughter's birthday and we found one small birthday cake with the personal message from the Resident Manager, waiting for her when we entered the room. The service all around was impeccable from the time you get out of your car, offering you champagne while you check in, to the pool and any request you have. The property is immaculate and has a nice cosy feel. Great for families or a romantic getaway. Every evening, there is a pianist with good music, which make magic atmosphere with the sound of the sea. I travel a lot and have stayed a several time in Sardinia but this property was the best so far. The location and the great staff made our stay unforgettable.
