The management of this hotel cant do enough for you, from start to end, rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, bedding and towls changed daily, the reason we booked this hotel was because of its central location you have to be very careful with a lot of the hotels here as they seem very out of the way from any amenities shops bars restaurants are within walking distance, although we did find it quite expensive to drink and eat out, the maria itself although quite pretty wasn't really up too much, and you do have to get a bus to the nearest beaches the no 4 bus takes you too the beaches of pitulingu and mama beach, the beaches have to be the selling point for this island and we found them very similar to those in the caribean, we stayed in the hilton olbia for first few days but found this hotel much better for location, the only cons we would say was the ghetto area around the hotel which is iinhabited by alot of immigrant sellers and shops african and indians you are hounded by them on the beach and they do take up space on the bus to this beach which we thought shouldnt be allowed, taxis are very few here as we notced and its much cheaper to take the bus 1 euro 50 ts 15 euros set rate in a cab and it was 20 euros from the airport to the hotel, we enjoyed it in bar glamour, marys bar, and la tasca for food but there are lots of places to explore, all rooms are air con which you need in the temperatures here travel in june was extremely hot 34c
Hotel is set just outside of the main strip by the train station. Not the greatest area but strangely felt safer at night! Small car park opposite the hotel. Lots of mirrors inside to make the lobby feel bigger. Rooms are generous in size but a bit tired. Bathroom is well equipped. Hotel lift is for a single person
The hotel car park was perfect as the streets are very tight to park - free as well. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived for our three night stay - and our first floor room overlooked the street which we thought may have been noisy but it was not. The staff were very helpful and really put themselves out to make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was the typical continental fare - but the coffee was particularly good. Our room was very well appointed and we slept soundly on a super bed. We certainly could recommend this hotel
This is a very convenient hotel close to the bus stop'for'the airport making it ideal for'one night stop'before catching your flight. The personnal is multilingual flexoble and helpful. The bed is OK but could have been better for such a standard hotel. The bathroom is ok and very clean. The whole room is very clean. The hotel is pretty old but well run. I strongly recommend it for couple and families s'as well as business people
Unfortunately I was booked into this gloomy, old and smelly hotel by my company. The 4* rating is a joke. Perhaps 50 years ago when it was built but since then there have been no renovations. The whole hotel is outdated, each room seems to be different and not clean. The bed was uncomfortable and worst of all the air conditioning didn't work in any room. The wifi signal was also terrible. Breakfast was the biggest joke with canned pineapple and fake fizzy orange juice. It also seems the same receptionist works the desk all day, every day.
For a B&B in a very beautiful town near all public transport links to all the beautiful beaches Sardinia has to offer - personally I couldn't ask for more. Staff are extremely nice and are willing to make your stay very warm and welcome - They helped us out where to go etc. Talib is the best hotel manager one could ask for. Rooms are a good size with modern Italian style bathroom. Close to all the awesome restaurants in Olbia. Would definitely come back again - however would rent a car as this makes your holiday more convenient around your schedule.
This hotel may be somewhat underrated. If you're there for a luxury hotel experience you'll be disappointed as the rooms are very basic, and don't contain much more than bed, desk, wardrobe, bathroom and a bar fridge. But it's clean, well maintained, and the staff are extremely helpful and unfailingly polite. The cost is very reasonable indeed. If you just want somewhere to stay at night while eating out and day-tripping in the countryside, this may be just what you need.
We stayed for only one night but we needed a late checkout and we were allowed to have the room until we left for the airport. The room was big, clean and comfortable, the minibar had everything needed and great prices and the best part is that there's a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel to the city center. Olbia is not a nice city quite ugly I might say but the city center is pretty and has all sorts of shops and restaurants. And this hotel has the advantage of being close to the center but protected from the crowds noise.
Hands down the worst hotel I think I have stayed in. Dark dingy, outdated. Not worth paying hard earned money to stay here! Staff were unfriendly and the breakfast was awful. You will do well to steer clear of this place
Spend one night at hotel in between flight arrival and check in at holiday residence further south on Sardinia. We had 2 double rooms at the 7th floor. Both rooms were big and clean. One of the rooms had a large balconny with a view of the city. The breakfast was nothing special, but ok -- just typical italian. The Olbia city center and pedestrian street is only 5 min walk. Locked car park was offered at no extra cost.
