My room had a lovely view with a cute balcony and the rooms were kept very clean. The bar above was a nice feature and the breakfast buffet had lots of choice. However the hotel being called Cala Luna has nothing to do with the beach it’s named after which is a big miss leading, you still have to pay €5 a day and a 20 min boat to the Cala Luna. The beach in the harbour though is perfectly nice we used that a lot too. The staff seem to empty the glass bins at any hour of the night- great if your room is below the bar like ours and also and opposite the glass bins outside. Can you also please consider removing the stupid overhanging lights over the bed, what a stupid design we hit our heads god knows how many times. Overall we enjoyed our stay but could do with a few tweaks

The property has modern amenities, spacious rooms, great proximity to the beach, a more contemporary aesthetic, and an excellent, diverse breakfast buffet that comes with the room. The rooftop bar upstairs has incredible views and the Apperitivo offer includes tasty pre-dinner bites with one drink.

Lovely hotel on the shore.

This clean and tidy hotel is in a great position next to the sea and a very short walk to the main beach, harbour, shops etc. Our room was nice and was kept spotlessly clean during the week. Breakfast was an extensive buffet, and the rooftop sun terrace had a bar with superb views. We didn’t use the main restaurant, preferring to explore the many options in the town. The only downside was a lack of parking - spaces in Cala Gonone in August are very hard to find and this was quite a stressful problem at times. Nevertheless, a very nice stay.

Beautiful, clean, cozy hotel, next to the beach. Has everything you need, gym, skybar, sauna, massage. We had a perfect stay and it was a wonderful experience for the first time in Sardinia.

Really nice hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant, food was very good and well priced. Breakfast was exceptional, a really wide choice with lots of healthy options. Hotel position is ideal.

Beautiful Hotel

We have being going back to Cala Gonone every two years for a while now. We always stay at the Cala Luna Hotel. The location is amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast offers a really good selection. They were one of the first "green" hotels we have stayed at. The restaurant is superb. I highly recommend getting a room with the sea view.

Poor air conditioning, nice location....

We stayed here for two nights in early Oct. The hotel is definitely dated and lives up to a 2 star or low 3 star hotel. Good Breakfast buffet in the morning. Nice menu and free appetizers in the evening. The beds are not comfortable at all. Our main complaint was the air conditioner unit did not work well. The days we were there the temps were mid to upper 80's, so not blazing hot. But you cannot leave the AC on in the room while you are gone.... They have a smart key that activates the AC once you are in the room and will only issue one per room. Also if you are in the room and want to go out on the balcony, by opening the door it deactivates the air conditioner. Went to the front desk and complained and found out they control how hard and cold the AC unit works from there computer. We will not stay here again and would not give a good recommendation to anyone who asks.

Great location

Great location just a short stroll from a stunning beach. Grat restaurants in town. Good kids play area and a very nice pool. Hotel is good and comfortbale rooms would benefit from better curtains (does get light early). Breakfast is ok(fresh fruit would make it alot better). Overall you cant bet this location for the beach its stunning.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Cala Gonone

We spent a week of vacations in Cala Luna. The hotel is in a perfect spot straight on the Cala Gonone waterfront, a stone throw from the harbour. It is very clean, with modern, well equipped rooms, friendly, attentive staff and great food served 3x a day. Good and stable internet connection for free. What else one could wish?!

I don't leave 5 star reviews but I have this time.

leaving 5 star reviews is not something I do but we did have a fantastic stay and having spent a week at this hotel I find it had to suggest any improvements. Please bear in mind this is a 3 star hotel so don't expect 5 star service. It is an elegant hotel with amazing views (sea front 3rd floor we were on) and a real Italian style about it. The only improvements I could suggest is to conceal the TV power cable in the walls (currently surface mounted) but now I'm being picky. Oh by the way they have lovely bar on the front for evening chilling.

Friendly Locally Run Hotel

This hotel has a brilliant location just across a small road from promenade . It is near to local beaches and eating places . We had a room with a balcony on the side of the building with fine views of the sea . Facing East so got the morning sun . There is a roof sun terrace with wonderful sea views .

Lovely hotel in great location

We enjoyed our stay here, the staff were always friendly and spoke English well. Always cheerful and ready to help. Air con a bit too cool at night.Slight prob is the parking which became paying along the sea front the day we arrived- needed to hunt for free spots!
