The hotel is very clean, the service is brilliant and its a stone throw from both the beach and the train station. We have been to Salou 4times now and stayed in 3hotels and 1 apartment. I chose to upgrade to a 'Superior room' in this hotel and it was still smaller than the other 3 i had previously stayed in. Its also a considerable walk to the new town which is were the majority of the restaurants are and the roof top pool is very small and can get crowded i wouldn't personally say its the most ideal for kids. Other than those small issues you really can't fault the place. You can rent bikes from the hotel, organize taxis from the hotel. An the staff are happy to help with anything you need, for example they helped us find train times to Barcelona. O Finally...Don't run through the reception is bare feet i got shouted at ;)

Quite a nice hotel but parking is rubbish. We were charged extra because we booked through another popular booking company instead of booking direct......we always thought it was cheaper using this company and booking online, evidently NOT! Pool amazing upstairs and free and good opening times. Quote a good location for travellers en route from Spain to France. Due to being charged extra, only 3 stars!!

We opted for the suite, hoping to find a suite with a good bed. We did not. The bed was old and small so we asked to make up the couch-bed as well. Which left us with no furniture. TV has limited channels; no international movies or channels except the French international news channel. No movies on demand. Restaurant does not open before 8PM which is normal in Spain but for international guests who like to eat earlier because of traveling or jetlags not nice. Breakfast in weekend starts at 8AM; again; for international guests or guests who have business to do, this is not very service oriented. The service is not great, the lady who runs breakfast would be an excellent commander in the army. Breakfast is good but don't expect fresh eggs, it is the standard Spanish breakfast with a lot of focus on sweet pastries.

A lovely hotel close to trains, buses and shops open all times of the year. Enjoyable in season and out. Fantastic pool sand excellent reception and bar staff in cook and travel. Our fifth visit and looking forward to the sixth.

Superb hotel made all the better by Manuel in the bar area who was knowledgeable, pleasant, friendly and made us feel really at home. A rare find All your staff should be like him he went out of his way to advise us

This hotel is in an excellent location near the train station in Salou & 5 minutes from the beach. Rooftop pool with only a few loungers beside it & a few in covered area also. Photos of this area need updating by the hotel. The room was decent with a decent shower and offered a comfortable night's sleep. Used the very small gym a few times, equipment was limited and had to get a key from reception for the treadmill. There was a single shower room for users. Decent selection at breakfast but didn't really change much. Check-in was efficient but didn't really offer any information on the area which was a bit disappointing. Welcome lemonade voucher given on arrival. Overall a decent enough hotel but not quite 4 star maybe 3.5

Really nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Brilliant location as only 5mins from the beach. Close enough to walk to bars and restaurants but far enough away that it wasnt too loud or rowdy. Also really close to shops. The breakfast was really good, and the reception staff were really helpful also.

As most of the beach front hotels were fully booked due to a major windsurfing competition at the time we were in Salou, we grabbed the next best accomodation at the Regente Aragon. We couldn't check in as we arrived at about 10am, but the hotel staff allowed us to leave our luggage at the front desk. We did check in at about 1pm when our room was ready. Location wise was not bad. Not right at the beach front but about 300m away. The lovely seaside promenade and town centre were also within walking distance, about less than 10 minutes at a leisurely stroll. What surprised me about this hotel is the room size! Fairly big compared to other European hotel rooms. It had a king size bed plus a comfortable 2-seater sofa that opened up to an almost queen-sized bed! The photos we saw in their website were close to what we got. Bedlinen & towels were clean and fresh. Basic toiletries- shampoo, soap & shower gel were provided. No toothbrush. Hair dryer and great pressure shower (hot&cold water) in a good sized bathroom. The floor in the shower area can be quite slippery after a shower down. No bath tub. Our room was on the 4th floor and we got a partial view of the sea from our small balcony. Only one gripe....the room floor was a tad dusty when we entered our room. A thorough vacuum would do the job. TV channels had mostly Spanish programmes...no CNN or BBC. There's a mini fridge, no electric kettle or coffee/tea complimentaries. No iron and ironing board. But there's a safe and a good size wardrobe. Though our room was just next to the elevator, there was minimal sound disruptions. We had daily breakfast included in our hotel package when we booked direct online on the hotel website. Good spread- cereals, cheese selection, different pastries and breads, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, fruits, juice and ham slices (assortment), coffee, tea, hot chocolate. We were always stuffed after enjoying the spread. Hotel staff were efficient and did their best to answer our queries. You need to ask if you have any doubts or questions about the hotel and its surroundings. They don't volunteer the information. Just ask, they will help with your queries. We found it a little surprising that the hotel card info in the room were not in English...they had translations in 4 other languages but not English. Again, you could always call the front desk and ask about the hotel facilities. There's free wifi...just ask about the password at check-in. The staff forgot to tell us about this at check-in. Overall we had a great stay in Salou, spending time at the beach and walking along the seaside promenade that had great cafes, restaurants and a variety of shops. Hotel Regente Aragon is in a fairly good location. The bus stops for the shuttle bus to & fro Barelona Airport and Tarragona town were really close by. But we will try to get beach front accomodation next time in Salou, as the sunrise and especially the sunsets were gorgeous.

Second time at this fabulous hotel and can’t fault it at all. You must upgrade to a superior room as they are fantastic, and well worth paying for. The hotel is so clean and quiet, and the staff are lovely

Myself and girlfriend has just return back from salou staying at the Regente Aragon. We had an amazing time with thanks to the hotel. Salou is a beautiful place and this hotel is situated at the quieter end of salou located near the station. But it's only a short walk into town which was beautiful at night walking along side the palm trees and fountains. The room was really nice, cleaned daily and clean towels left. Staff was helpful and the roof pool was really walm with nice views. We would definitely return Thanks again
