Good: location is nice. Big room. Nice bathroom Bad: tiny gym. Tiny pool (see pics). Horrible keys- constantly stopped working. Tv didn't work. Weak AC I wanted to love this hotel. The room is massive and looked good, but then the ac was very weak and the tv wouldn't turn on. In my town day stay, I only was able to get into my room once with my key. Every other time I had to return to the front desk and ask for a new key. I kept it in the paper and away from my phone and credit cards. The pool is tiny. The gym has one treadmill, one elliptical and one weight machine. Staff was helpful and nice. Free map was helpful.
We were on a package tour of 3 days in this hotel and 3 in a Barcelona hotel. This is a four star hotel positioned fairly central within 10 minutes walk from the beach and an atmospheric medieval town with a good deal of Roman wall remaining. The whole city of Tarragona is worth a visit and we had no problem spending our evenings here with many lovely restaurants to choose from. Food quality is very good and won't break the bank. The hotel itself is situated adjacent to a busy roundabout with a wonderful fountain in the centre. Our room overlooked this roundabout but despite it's position there was very little road noise thanks to efficient double glazing. We were on the fifth floor, a couple of floors below the roof pool, this was quite small and hardly suitable for for much more than a wallow rather than a swim. The gym was a small room adjacent to the pool with what appeared to be three or four pieces of equipment only. There was no pool bar but quite a few loungers, chairs and tables to allow you to soak up some sun after a busy site-seeing day. We had one evening meal in the hotel and although the food was very good, there was something lacking in the layout and overall ambience of the restaurant. On the other hand, the breakfasts were more than adequate and also good quality food. Overall, every member of staff was polite and friendly and appeared to have a good work ethic. We have to remember that this is a city hotel and is ideal for city breaks and business stays with business meeting facilities. Would I use this hotel again? Yes without a doubt.
This hotel is located on Plaza Imperial near the old and new Ramblas, which lead into the old city and the impressive Roman ruins of Tarragona. The service is friendly and helpful although limited in scope. The rooms are basic and clean. Wireless is free. Breakfast was fairly limited in scope but included fresh fruit, freshly baked pastries, and a limited hot items. The cost is supplemental to the basic room (12 Euros per person).
Sorry but this is no way a four star hotel. It's a sad dated dirty little place that I could not sleep at all in. My room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that it was difficult to breathe in even after leaving the window wide open all night. Towels and pillows were nasty lifeless things - no washcloths or suitcase stands were provided. With the bus station just below the hotel it feels very seedy. I'm glad to leave this place behind after a painful night.
This hotel is quite convenient if you want the town centre with the bus station situated below the hotel. It is however classed as 4* but is really only a 3*. the evening dinner our first night was very good, but the breakfast is very average, and beware you might get you table cleared when you get up to go to the buffet. The hotel breakfast also caters for the general public and doesn't have enough tables so if you leave yours it will be cleared. This happened several times during our stay so we learned for one of us to stay seated whilst the other went to the buffet. The rooms were comfortable and adequate although the shower was very poor. The bathroom has no door so if you need the bathroom in the night you need a torch as you can't leave the light on unless you can sleep in bright lights. The toilet is seperate and has a sliding door which was very stiff and made an awful noise when moved. I would say if you were staying for more than one night, then go to another hotel nearer to the old town and port.
We had a three person room at the Sb and it was great. The location of the hotel is just fine the room was spacious and clean parking of the car is easy. And we even enjoyed the rooftop pool and exexcise maxhines. I can recommned the hotel
4 star hotel 😂😂😂😂😂 its23°c outside and when I asked for the air conditioner to be turned down as it is close to 30°C in the room I was told that it's not possible. Asked for a fan for the room was told that isn't an option in this hotel . 4 stars need reviewing!!!! Rude night staff . Very unhappy.
We stayed in the family room. The bath was big enough to fit the 3 kids!! The room is a good size too. Not massive like in the photos. We didnt take the dog with us bze the dog is not allowed alone in the bedroom so that for us is a minus point. The breakfast is ok, lots of choices. Very nice service there. Upstairs in the pool terrace we were glad it wasnt summer bze is a very small pool, I dubt it more than 10persons fits in there, also not enough hammacs (i recall 4) So NO good. Also a very BAD WI-FI slowly, some places inside didnt have acces. No excuses for this day and age no provide a good internet acces. Also another problem is no aircon and the windows open totally. So overall yes is ok but the services let them down.
No hot water thus, we could not shower. Very annoying. Only a couple of plugs in the room. Room too hot. At breakfast there were only two employees (not enough for all guests) running back and forth and many things missing(glasses, cups, juice, bowls, etc). Breakfast food was very complete though. Staff mainly friendly but not very professional.
Hotel is located in center on city, quite convenient to get to main street and 15-20 minutes by walk from port and beach. I was in Tarragona in February and it was quit chilly during the night. There isn't ant heating in the hotel, they just swtich off the ventilation system. It was quit war in the room but to get fresh air you need to open the window. And my room faced to one busy street so I got noise and cold together with oxygen. But room was good, big bathroom, standard equipment there isn't anything to complaint. Breakfast is very good - fresh bakery and fruits, cheese, meets and some Spanish specialties.
