It is a lovely place and it has a great location. Very clean and right in front or above the bus station! Super close to the old tarraco city and has a bus line in front of the hotel to go to visit the Acueducto del diable.
We went to this hotel on an escorted trip and were pleasantly pleased with the standard of the hotel in all respects. Good sized room kept very clean as were all the public spaces. We only had breakfast there but again were very pleased with the huge choice and the standard of the food. The hotel is well sited and there are plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants' close to hand. Would be more than happy to return. We loved Tarragona as well.
We stayed here for a few days while we were touring Tarragona. The city itself has some remarkable attractions, mostly connected to Roman ruins,. The hotel is a modern business hotel, about a 20-minute walk from the coast. Despite being on a busy traffic circle, the room was delightfully quiet with dark curtains so we slept very well. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of items. The hotel has a parking garage st an additional fee. It is right around the corner. However, be prepared- the entry is dark p, narrow, and winding. The hotel has a restaurant but it does not open till late. Their bar has a limited menu. There were no other places we saw in the vicinity.
A clean hotel in the city center. Walking distance to the sea shore. The pool is to be found on the roof, takes a bit of walking. Pool is somewhat small, as is the jacuzzi too. BUT, there is a real sauna. This said by a Finnish person. Trust me, after a sweaty day, there is nothing quite like the hot steaming sauna to get the day out of your system, obviously followed by a cold shower. I am suitably impressed.
Went as part of a group and stayed for a week. Impressed by staff who tried to improve our stay when we asked for more imaginative meals and desserts. They really did listen and the chef produced much tastier dishes and varied desserts other than just ice cream. Staff were always welcoming and nice to us. The bus station under the hotel (no noise or fumes though) was very convenient as we could just walk out and get buses to different places, eg .La Mora beach, Reuss (Gaudi`s birthplace) etc. on our free days. We could easily walk across the road to la Rambla (pedestrian route) up to the viewpoint over the sea and the Roman remains and old town. Shops and the market were also close by. The hotel bar did specials of cake and coffee at certain times. It also sold a glass of wine E1.70 or cava E2.50. Beer, 500mls was E3. These prices were cheaper than many bars outside so we could drink in the hotel without payng over the odds. BIG WARNING...look at the price list before ordering drinks. Some fellow travellers ordered 2 gin and tonics which came to a hefty E30. It was down in the price list though. Local drinks tea and coffee were cheap enough. The pool on the roof was only small but very welcome to have a dip in after a hot day sightseeing. there was also a good breeze up there and sunbeds. The rooms were clean and functional. The bed comfy and windows soundproofed the outside traffic. A good place to stay for business or touring travellers.
Lovely hotel very centrally located. It is a 20 minute walk to the beach but only around 5/10 minutes to the city or the shopping centre. The room was very clean and all of the staff we encountered were very friendly!
Good: location is nice. Big room. Nice bathroom Bad: tiny gym. Tiny pool (see pics). Horrible keys- constantly stopped working. Tv didn't work. Weak AC I wanted to love this hotel. The room is massive and looked good, but then the ac was very weak and the tv wouldn't turn on. In my town day stay, I only was able to get into my room once with my key. Every other time I had to return to the front desk and ask for a new key. I kept it in the paper and away from my phone and credit cards. The pool is tiny. The gym has one treadmill, one elliptical and one weight machine. Staff was helpful and nice. Free map was helpful.
We were on a package tour of 3 days in this hotel and 3 in a Barcelona hotel. This is a four star hotel positioned fairly central within 10 minutes walk from the beach and an atmospheric medieval town with a good deal of Roman wall remaining. The whole city of Tarragona is worth a visit and we had no problem spending our evenings here with many lovely restaurants to choose from. Food quality is very good and won't break the bank. The hotel itself is situated adjacent to a busy roundabout with a wonderful fountain in the centre. Our room overlooked this roundabout but despite it's position there was very little road noise thanks to efficient double glazing. We were on the fifth floor, a couple of floors below the roof pool, this was quite small and hardly suitable for for much more than a wallow rather than a swim. The gym was a small room adjacent to the pool with what appeared to be three or four pieces of equipment only. There was no pool bar but quite a few loungers, chairs and tables to allow you to soak up some sun after a busy site-seeing day. We had one evening meal in the hotel and although the food was very good, there was something lacking in the layout and overall ambience of the restaurant. On the other hand, the breakfasts were more than adequate and also good quality food. Overall, every member of staff was polite and friendly and appeared to have a good work ethic. We have to remember that this is a city hotel and is ideal for city breaks and business stays with business meeting facilities. Would I use this hotel again? Yes without a doubt.
This hotel is located on Plaza Imperial near the old and new Ramblas, which lead into the old city and the impressive Roman ruins of Tarragona. The service is friendly and helpful although limited in scope. The rooms are basic and clean. Wireless is free. Breakfast was fairly limited in scope but included fresh fruit, freshly baked pastries, and a limited hot items. The cost is supplemental to the basic room (12 Euros per person).
Sorry but this is no way a four star hotel. It's a sad dated dirty little place that I could not sleep at all in. My room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that it was difficult to breathe in even after leaving the window wide open all night. Towels and pillows were nasty lifeless things - no washcloths or suitcase stands were provided. With the bus station just below the hotel it feels very seedy. I'm glad to leave this place behind after a painful night.
