At 1st the rooms for families I was told didn’t fit 5. Then I emailed and put a question up here about bringing a 3rd child. Suddenly the website changed and families of 5 did fit but the supplement for the privilege of having a 3rd child is almost €800 for half board! How much do you think a 3 year old eats. No extra beds provided. This is a fabulous hotel that I’ve been lucky enough to stay in twice before but I’m shocked by this clear bias against families of 5. It’s cheaper to have a room with 3 adults and 1 child in it. I can promise it’ll cost more to feed that extra adult than my 3 children aged 7,5 & 3 put together. The family of 5 nonsense in Salou is just disgusting. I think I’ll take my money elsewhere. I’d love to hear the hotel management explanation here? 10 days ago they couldn’t have 5 as it was the law now they can but the supplement is as much as an adult would pay for a holiday
Not my usual choice but we were going with a mixed family group and needed this kind of hotel. Staff were very good, especially entertainment team. Rooms were dated and below par I'd say - small and some sheets were darned(!) We had to get ours changed once as they had old chewing gum on them - yeugh. Pool area far too crowded - also hated way they let you put towels down - there was even a queue in the morning to do it! Laughable. Good point - food was excellent (only spoilt by guests!) but bad point - they would not give us any tap water (unusual for Spain) even though we ordered wine every evening meal.
Good location for the theme park, about 15min walk. Nice pool which wasn't too busy. The food was fine, about normal for an all inclusive/half board style hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you wanted to use the theme park but didn't want to stay in one of the theme park hotels. (I would suggest buying the Express Pass ticket in the park)
A lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is amazing! Staff very polite and helpful. Only a short walk from the theme park and shopping areas. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Salou.
We stayed at the H10 Salauris Palace in September 2017 for one week. The hotel was absolutely ideal, in the best location in Salou, only a 15 min walk to the beach and promenade and 10 mins to the theme park. The hotel itself was very clean and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel was top class with plenty of choice every day, definitely one of the highlights of our holiday as we love our food!! From the moment of arrival we were made very welcome with our room ready straight away with a brilliant view of Ferrari Land as requested!! As if this hotel couldn’t get any better there is an adults only jacuzzi area on the roof top which was ideal for peaceful sunbathing and relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel and could not fault anything about it!! Will definitely be back again and cannot thank the staff enough for running a first class hotel and for making our holiday an awesome experience! Big Thank You to H10 Salauris Palace!
Amazing hotel. Absolutley spotless, rooms lovely , staff couldnt do enough for you. Entertainment at night very good, good variety. The food on offer was really nice especially the bakery & grill . I would give this hotel 5 star but dropped one star for one reason. You cannot get a sunlounger unless you queue up an hour before the pool opens along with the majority of the hotel. You then have to run when doors open like a crazy person to get a sunlounger . This has to be seen to believed and would be so funny if it wasnt embarrassing. Iv been travelling abroad over 20 years and have never seen this anywere else. Hilarious 🤣🤣
I went to H10 Salauris Palace for a week in September with my husband and 5 year old daughter. We went out of school holidays which was great, I had read allot of reviews about problems with getting sun loungers, queues etc but thankfully we didn’t experience any such problems! We went half board, the food was great, plenty of choice and always hot. Drinks are not included but are very reasonably priced. €2.80 for a pint of beer and €2 for a glass of wine. The hotel itself is lovely. Very clean and has everything you will need. The pool area was very nice, however the pool was always absolutely freezing! Our room was very nice and spacious, lots of wardrobe space and hangers. Plus the bonus of a fridge. We had a pool view. The entertainment team and kids club were brilliant. My daughter loved going every afternoon and we would see them having adventures around the hotel. The only downside I would say about having a pool view is the noise of the evening entertainment. It is extremely loud. We stayed up most nights to watch it but if you are going to bed earlier or enjoy sitting on the balcony in the evening I would definitely recommend getting a room at the front of the hotel. The hotel location is great, only a 5 min walk to local shops and restaurants. And about a 10 min walk to the beach. PortAventura is literally across the road so a great location if you are going there. Overall this is a great hotel and will defiantly be going again!
My husband and I stayed in this hotel the first 2 weeks in October. What a fab holiday we had. Simply brilliant. Great hotel. Food excellent and plentiful. Choice was amazing. At times the dinning room was very busy but we found a time that we went for evening meal before it got too busy. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The showers of a high standard. Cleaning was done every day with fresh towels. Entertainment was very good. Loved the Micheal Jackson tribute. It was very well performed. The day and nite staff always polite and worked really hard to keep people happy. Pool was cold but that's often the case in many hotels. We spent most times enjoying the adult only roof top. What a hidden gem that was. Solau is not my favourite place to holiday but this hotel is by far above any other in the area. One of the best holidays We have had. We are returning next year and can't wait. Lots of things to do and we were lucky that the world rally was on and it was great and all the cars drove buy our hotel.
We went to H10 Salauris back in September but I've only just got round to my review. This was our second visit, the first being around the same time last year. We returned simply because this hotel is fantastic, that is all I really need to say! I am not a great fan of Salou, it is too much of a 'tourist trap' for me, but staying at this hotel you can simply walk up the road, jump on a train and go to lovely places like Tarragona and Barcelona. The hotel is clean, modern and everyone is so friendly. The pool area is great, and we always got sunbeds when we wanted them (admittedly not too often as we were always out and about). Even the evening entertainment was, on the whole, pretty good. This is one of the best hotels we've been to when it comes to the food. It's the usual buffet style you get in most hotels these days but the quality and variety is excellent. Fresh food is brought out right up until the end of service (where a lot of places stop bringing out new lots around 1/2 hour before close). The paella's are as good as any I've had in restaurants. Rooms are a decent size, housekeeping is great. All in all, a great place. We love it and will be back again I'm sure. A BIG thank you to all of the staff.
Stayed at the H10 Salauris Palace with other family members in September 17. Had a very enjoyable stay in this central hotel , handy for shopping , amusement park , eating out , visiting all the attractions and the port. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean , very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Has very friendly , helpful staff, who will assist you with any questions you may have . Rooms are very comfortable and plenty of space , had a pool view which was lovely Food was always really good with plenty of choices , you’d never go hungry here! More organised system of entering and leaving restaurant than other H10 hotels I’ve stayed at , which was a welcome change . My granddaughter enjoyed the mini disco every evening as did the adults watching it too. The three male singers are an absolutely fantastic show ( I’m afraid their name escapes me at the moment ) but don’t miss them if you are there , very enjoyable evening !!! By far the best !!! I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel , we had room 232 which was on 2 nd floor, 2nd room away from the lifts and facing the pool. This was a superb location and surprisingly very quiet. Highly recommend this hotel to couples, singles and families , all would enjoy it here .
