We just spent 2 weeks at this hotel its 5mins walk from beach which is lovely.only snag with this hotel is the sun loungers there are signs saying you cant put towels down but people were and they go so cant get sun loungers.one day we managed to get one i counted 25 loungers that had towels on and no body there some people didnt go on them till afternoon.Rooms are clean food is good if like us you get a stupid time for food and go out you cant go wrong by eating at the Robin Hood you get a warm welcome off Gary and the staff cant do enough for you.
when you go to a 4 star hotel you don't expect to pay out for a kettle, fridge and to ask for another chair to be put in your room there was a desk but the chair would not fit as it was so close to the end of the bed there was not enough storage you are told what time you can go to dinner if you miss your slot tough you go without when we complained they threatened to kick us out we would not recommend this place to anyone not even if they paid us the entertainment was of very low quality the only good thing was the food meant to have been adult only I never knew 14 year olds were adults
My partner and I have just got back from our 10 night stay at the H10 Delfin and we couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel. Firstly, the location is spot on. It's just around the corner from the beach and the hustle and bustle of the many shops and restaurants along the promenade. Situated at such a distance that you can easily remove yourself from the crowds, but join in at will. The hotel itself is spotless. The entrance and lobby bar look spectacular, and the entire hotel has a modern furnish. Everything in the hotel is extremely clean. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels replenished. We stayed half board and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of food. Having stayed in many all inclusive hotels, I was expecting fairly average food, but I would say this hotel provided restaurant standard food that exceeded our expectations. At dinner, there was something for everyone. Lots of meat and fish options, as well as pasta and rice dishes and a huge array of salad options. Breakfast was just as good - fry up food, pastries, cereals, fruit, pancakes etc. The pool area was lovely; our only criticism is that there was sometimes a lack of sunbeds that were available in the sun. The terrace pool on floor 6 was beautiful. Ideal for some quiet time in the sun. Poolside entertainment was also lacking, but maybe this is the norm at adults only hotels, given the older clientele. Drinks at the bar were really nice. Glass of wine was only €2 and actually quite nice compared to wine served at other bars in Salou. Cocktails are only €5 but can taste quite weak. All staff were extremely helpful and polite, especially the restaurant staff who constantly smiled and joked around with us. Entertainment at night was a mixed bag. We enjoyed parts of it, but we felt it wasn't geared up for young British tourists like ourselves. Overall we were extremely pleased with our choice of hotel and felt we had picked a gem after going past some of the other hotels in the area. Would definitely recommend!
Just got back from this lovely hotel. It is situated in the middle of Salou, close to the shops, restaurants, beach and bars. The rooms were a good size, clean and well maintained, with a lovely ensuite bath / shower. The hotel is adults only (aged 16 plus) which meant it was quiet around the pool. The wifi was free and worked in the room, pool area, as well as the main areas. Waiters served drinks to you at the loungers and there were hot snacks available from the pool side hut. There were 2 main pools - one larger with different depths, a bridge and waterfall. The smaller pool was smaller, warmer and was my preferred one, with its 4 mini spa areas and its constant depth. There were plenty of loungers and no one was allowed to get to the pool until 9 which stopped people getting up at ridiculous times to commandeer beds. The entertainment was fine but definitely not too wild! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was hot and tasty. I would highly recommend it.
Great hotel, good food with lots of choice. A bit noisy at night if you did not want to watch the entertainment, but overall excellent holiday. Well located with lots to do. Would have been nice to have a UK channel on TV to keep up-to-date with news, but good wifi connection - free.
I visited the Delfin on a 'girls' holiday in mid July. There were a lot of good points about the hotel however it is clear that these elements existed to make up for the poor quality and size of the actual hotel rooms. Good: - very professional, friendly and helpful hotel staff - reasonably priced cocktails and other alcoholic drinks, the cocktails are good quality too and don't scrimp on the alcohol on them! - the lobby, pool and bar areas are very nice and 4 star quality. - the bar had a nice atmosphere in the evenings - the roof top pool is extremely peaceful and you can almost always get a sun bed - compared to the surrounding hotels, the delphin looks a lot nicer - the food is of good quality and we couldn't ask for more choice. Also throughout meal times more food is cooking, so no matter at what you arrive the food is fresh and hot. Bad: - I am a deep sleeper, but even I was woken several times from the room next door having extremely loud sex, the walls are paper thin and it felt like there had been an earthquake! - my friends were woken every night multiple times, anytime there was any movement from people coming and going and the loud cleaners who start work at 6am. - the rooms are very cramped and are not 4 star quality; a fridge and safe etc are extras that I would have expected in the price. - Breakfast cannot be faulted, and neither really can diner be, however dinner is slightly reminiscent of school dinners. - unfortunately we drew the short straw and ended up with a balcony facing a square with other hotels onlooking, the square is a bit of an eyesore and the hotel to the right has some questionable live music, albeit better than listening to the porn movie making going on in room 435 or the 6am parties in 433. Overall the hotel was average, let down by the rooms.
We booked one room for three adults - there is just no way there is enough room for 3 people. They put in an extra bed but you can hardly walk around - you really are packed in like sardines. I don't think that this should be an option when you book, as you would expect that if a room could be booked for 3 people then it would be adequate. We were facing the street didn't really have a view. A room overlooking the pool area would have been much better. The noise issue at the hotel really did spoil our holiday. The walls are extremely thin - we were woken up multiple times through the night by our neighbours - beds banging against the walls, people snoring, people getting in at 5am from nights out. You name it, you can hear it. The cleaners start at 6am. They make so much noise they wake up the entire hotel. If you fancy getting up at 6 every day on your holiday then this place is for you. The rooms look nothing like the lobby - they have clearly upgraded the lobby to entice you in (which in all honesty you spend no time in) and the rooms are two star at best. The noise really starts about 10pm and then goes on until at least 3 - so you can get a good sleep from 3am to 6pm. If this review stops one person NOT booking this hotel then you will have had a lucky escape. The hotel has completely ruined what will be our only holiday this year. Absolutely gutted - and it's not exactly cheap either. One of the main reasons why we chose this hotel was because it markets itself as an adult only hotel. This is a barefaced lie. We saw children from between ages 10-14 years. This is just typical of the hotel. I am very angry that this hotel can market itself as 4 star.
Room was nice but the view left a lot to be desired for, what can be described as an unused courtyard... Room was clean and comfortable however and food was excellent. Entertainment could be greatly improved and the gym was in a conservatory with no A/C so you can imagine the heat. Overall though an enjoyable stay and would recommend for a low budget holiday.
Just home from a weeks stay here. Hotel is in an excellent location. Close enough to the main strip & bars but far enough away you're not getting the noise etc Hotel was very clean & well kept. Staff were lovely, no one passed without saying hello to us. Room was cleaned everyday at a time to suit us. Dinner was good, always 2 different meats & a fish option, plenty of veg, then a rice/paella/pasta. There were chips every night so odd night there was boiled potatoes or potato wedges was a very welcome change. Breakfast was the same everyday & I struggled to find something I could eat. I can't eat eggs or gluten so was limited to bacon (which was very greasy) beans & gluten free bread I struggled to ask for as none of the staff spoke English. I ended up googling how to say gluten free in Spanish & showing it to them. (Sin gluten) The queue in the morning for the sun loungers is ridiculous, people start queuing from 8:45 for the doors to open at 9 then it's like a 100 metre sprint to get a sun lounger . Once people have their towels on beds I'd say a good 80% of them leave their towels there & go back into the hotel for breakfast or whatever. We one man left towels on sun loungers beside us for him & his wife at 9am & never returned until 12:15!! I think a lot of the table & chairs around the pool should be replaced with more sun loungers to facilitate more guests. All in all we enjoyed our stay here & would consider staying here again
I stayed here in July of this year for a week. It's position in Salou is excellent, as it's only a three minute walk to the beach, and a fifteen minute walk to Port Aventura Theme Park. There are shops, bars and restaurants within a minute's walk. The hotel has three swimming pools, all kept very clean by the staff each morning, and has a full time life guard on duty every day. There are plenty of sunbeds, although you will find guests placing towels out first thing to reserve them, even though the hotel does not allow this. But with the movement of the sun durng the day, you will not have any problems getting a sun lounger in the sun. The food in the hotel was superb, with a huge range available each day. My girlfriend and I stayed Half Board, and had something different each day. The rooms are large and comfortable, with great balcony's. There are fridges in the rooms, but you will need to pay the hotel to have these switched on. Towels for the sun loungers are also extra, and most people, ourselves included simply bought cheap beach towels from the supermarket across the road. Every evening there is live entertainment in the hotel, ranging from local singers, to a Kareoke night, which was great fun, and lasts until midnight. Drinks are very affordably priced in the hotel itself, and the staff are really really friendly. This is one of very few hotel's where the free wifi is really good, with a strong connection and fast speed throughout the hotel, and outside around the pools. Overall, we were extremely delighted with the H10 Delfin, it's a quality hotel and very good value for money in an ideal location, and we wouldn'y hesitate in returning.
