We stayed two nights here. Great location near the square. Walls are very thin, we could here our next door neighbors conversations. Tile floors. We could see light under the adjoining door. Very plain, nothing extraordinary. Room was clean but no frills.

We are going back to Capri just to stay at Caesar-Augustus Hotel. We absolutely loved it there!! You honestly do not feel as if you are staying at a hotel, but living in a beautiful mansion with spectacular, breathtaking views from every direction. We enjoyed sitting by the fire listening to the piano or guitarist playing as we enjoyed a glass of wine and light snacks. We would walk the terrace taking in the views, which changed with the sun until it beautifully set on the horizon. The place is clearly employee friendly and it shows. They are all so kind and happy to be there. They make you feel like you belong there! You can tell it's more than "just a job" to them. Every single person there had class and were ahead of the game. We cannot say enough good things about each of them! There is one downfall to staying at the Caesar Augustus Hotel. Once you stay here and "live" this beautiful life, nothing else will compare. Caesar Augustus makes a vacation to Capri a beautiful way of life, even if it's for a little while.

My wife and I stayed 3 days here. The staff was great, our room was fine and the food at the dining room was very good and fresh. A half block from the beach and it was very nice. We would for sure stay there again. The price for full board was very reasonable, that's what made our stay so enjoyable.

we have stayed at this nice hotel many times over the last 15 years, its top value for money. the rooms are basic but always clean. the food is fairly basic but always hot and nice. all the staff are very helpful and friendly. Lovely beach across the road. Will be returning for many years to come.

If you have the money, this is the place. It is a true 5 star, with views that are a 10 on any scale. Truly world class hotel, though seriously expensive. We had a junior suite with sea view on the cliff and the panorama is simply perfect. Anacapri is a little away from the action, but Capri town is too busy in my opinion and a short bus ride takes you there, or a wildly overpriced taxi. The hotel called me a week before to tell me they would pick us up at the ferry and everything they did was thoughtful and classy. Breakfast was outstanding, so good I never thought about lunch because I was such a pig just trying to taste the fabulous offerings at breakfast. Melon, prosciutto, cakes, breads, eggs, cheese, and on and on. All in a lovely room overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding. I can't say enough about how lovely this hotel is. Sometimes you spend a lot and leave disappointed, not here!! I will recommend this without hesitation.

It would be easy to be over critical of this hotel but I'll stick to the facts of our experience. Just back from a week's stay 17th September to 24th September. It is situated on a very busy arterial road between Salou and Cambrils. Ok, so here is the deal. You either get a room at the front overlooking the road or at the back overlooking a busy Barcelona bound railway track where the trains are very frequent and like using their horns. This hotel caters primarily to the home and Russian market, so dont look for any native English speakers here! The rooms are cleaned daily and are comfortable enough. Its sister hotel, The Augustus is across the road and overlooks the sea and has a bigger pool and more facilities and entertainment including kids activities, so for families, is definitely the better option!! Meals are buffet type and quality is poor. Boiled eggs 5 days out of 7, although the continental breakfast is well catered for. Evening meal is late if you're British, 7.45pm. there is one little bar which serves a tiny terrace and the pool. The pool is full of Spanish kids every afternoon. If you drive down or hire a car, there is an underpass at the side hotel leading to a large supervised car park on other side of railway track. 11euro per day, no discount or deal for guests. 30euro per week for a safe key. Free very slow wi-fi in reception area or 15euro per week for a slightly faster wi-fi in room. Room fridge is 1.50euro per day. Walls are wafer thin so you hear everything next door!!! Kids run up and down corridors until all hours. On the up side, its amusing watching the Russians eat mountains of food. You're either fast or you're last is definitely true in the restaurant. My advice is this. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing break with nice food and amenities? Don't go near this hotel! !!

The hotel is located half way between Salou and Cambrills. It is a 3* , and is well located within 100m of the fantastic beach, and has a bus stop just outside for those wanting to travel on the local Bus plans services, which are extremely frequent. There is an Info shop across the road for bring bikes and booking bus trip to locations such as Barcelona, Montserrat, Andorra etc.this hotel is serviced from this bus stop to the Reus airport for about 6.50 €. The hotel itself was disappointing from many perspectives, the room was quite small, the double bed was smallish, very uncomfortable, and actually had a spring protruding from its side, the bedding material was extremely worn, the towels were threadbare and we have often disposed of such towels in our home before they get to that point, the safe in the bedroom had the lock removed, and on enquiring from reception they wanted to charge us about 30 € to fit a lock to it for our stay, as it was not included as standard, the fridge in the bedroom was on a pay per day basis even if empty, naturally the floors were sandy because of the proximity to the beach, but we never saw any hoovering during our entire stay, and finally, the wall fitted hair dryer in the ensuite , had the hose come loose from the hand piece on our final day. The bath shower mixer unit was hanging on a dodgy hook, but it gave a fantastic shower. The restaurant was factory type with the tables lined up in parallel, the choice was limited, especially in the cereal dept for us adults needing our fibre! The general Salou area was spotless, footpaths etc as was Cambrills. However this hotel is located in a middle zone called Vilafortuny, significant amounts of street litter were in this zone and we never saw any street cleaning or lane way cleaning. Wifi was present but at minimal quality. Entertainment for adults seemed to be non existent at night, although they did make efforts for the kids. The hotel seemed to cater mostly for the home market. We really enjoyed our holiday because of the location of the hotel, not because of the quality of services that the hotel provided.

We saw several bad reviews and a bit we feared but there was no need to fear. Hotel is true extraordinary and big value for money. All in hotel works in the best possible way what is big plus for their management, some hotels with more stars and much more expensive do not have such a service. The rooms are very clean and tidy, space is satisfactory with appropriate terrace (even we could see the part of sea with terrace). Bathroom is clean as well, shower in bathroom is very practical. Food at the hotel is excellence, very varied and delicious, for all tastes including fish lovers and vegetarians, lots of different fruit plus a large selection wines (yes someone could except more but this is a three-star hotel and for three star category considerably above average). The staff is very kind, staff in reception promptly respond to various queries of tourists, including queries about the places to visit and fun in area. Hotel has a convenient and clean pool, and amply lounge chairs are provided. Location of hotel in Vilafortuny is big plus, near the sea (only across the street) and the bus station. The railroad is close (on other side of hotel in relation to street) but we didn't pay feed to the trains and they didn't bother anything. Beach is lovely with beautiful gold-colored sand that glistens in the sun, probably because of colour of sand coastline is called Costa Daurada. Fine sand is in the sea too, which in wonderful for staying in the water. Temperature of water is good for swimming and there were not especially big waves. Public transport is efficient, you can go in all places around (Cambrils, Salou, Pineda, Taragona, Reus) plus Barcelona, practically car hire is not much needed except for special routes. For Salou bus is not needed, you can go by foot. There a plenty of organized routes, tourist office is near the hotel, unfortunately not for a castle Miravet which is on the river Ebro, so rent-a-car in such situation is only option. Amusement park Port Aventura World is near too, about 10 km from Vilafortuny. All towns in the area have their charms, especially the old part of Reus is attractive and should be visited. Prices in stores are very decent with plenty of discounts and a good selection of goods. Highly developed tourist area with an offer for all ages, and a lot of fun. Overall for our wonderful holiday hotel Cesar Augustus contributed greatly.

The hotel like most of Spain. Mattresses relatively soft. Room spacious. Unfortunately, the dust on the refrigerator and in the bathroom. Only 2 power socket. Maid service is not speaking English. Internet very weak. Food excellent although breakfast very poor. Location sensational. Front desk service friendly but slow. Pool small but clean.

After some very disappointing Visits to the Up and coming area of Vilafortuny / Cambrils including a Less than impressive stay at their Sister Hotel Augustus which I vowed never to return, I thought id give it one more chance as I'm now OPEN in that area and have enjoyed their services over the years.... Im glad I went....The Maitre'd Manolo/Manuel was Leagues above the One who Unfortunately Ruined my last stay , He was a Breath of Fresh air, He had authority and Professionalism that as with all good workers filters through to the rest of his Co workers Andrea/Nina and Stephanie Plus the very Agile African Men whose names i did not get, this is then rewarded with Respect and is gained through helping with remedial Chores and not just Barking Orders like a Mad Man whilst causing Unease, none of this plus the Food was of a good standard. I especially Liked the welcome on reception from the Long term Employed German lady Dortmund football fan Eva i think was her name ...sorry if not She mentioned there were children staying held nothing back and her Professionalism too Benefits the company making You feel Like a Respected Customer. The train noise is not the end of the World, the Pool area is Great, The Bar Servers Look interested and all in all its a Great Place. My only Minus is in fact the Paper Thin walls but this is standard in most Hotels. Martins Bar is gonna be a Fantastic place to go for the New batch of English ,Irish, Dutch and many other nationalities that coupled with a resurgence in the Airport from RyanairI think will make Vilafortuny and both of the A2 Hotels a Must visit Area Thank you....We will see you again soon !
