Stayed here in October 2017, family holiday we were half board. we personally thought this hotel was brilliant especially for the time of year, the pool was open weather dependant and there was entertainment every night. The food was lovely and brilliant choice variety. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Wifi not the best. on the sea front a lovely walk either way out of the doors left to cambrills and right to salou and a bus running straight through both. The room was beautiful and modern. Overall we could not fault the hotel at all.

Currently staying at the hotel, lovely room, but small, great bathroom, double shower and class fittings. but hey, who stays in a hotel room when on holiday? Food good, but get there early if you want to avoid the ‘bun fight ‘, teenagers tend to be late arrivals at food when on holiday! Weather good, but it is late April, no rain yet and warm in the day. Good pool, it’s wet....what more do you want? WiFi erratic, but there is an upgrade if you wish, not tried it so I can’t comment. There are no English TV channels worth talking about, except BBC World News, which everyone knows is rubbish, I wish hoteliers would try to accommodate all guests instead of just Spanish, French and German. Not many Brits here, but that is no problem. On the whole good, limited entertainment, but it is early in the season........enjoy and stop moaning. Can’t get any closer to the beach without getting wet! In room 265...great location....enjoy.

Really good price for the room, cosy, clean and modern. Excelente front beach view by the pool! To park the car they only have the garage for 11€ a day, quite expensive... if you leave the car on the street is for free excluding Friday to Sunday. I will return! Thank you

I booked this 10 day holiday for me and my two sons, then aged 11 and 12. Pros:The hotel itself is clean and modern. Room was fine (a little on the small side) however beds were comfortable and the maids kept it clean daily. Staff in the buffet restaurant Work very hard and were kind, Lots of variety at breakfast and the food was fine. The location is great for transport links. My sons enjoyed the games room also. Cons:We went in high season, so it was chaos! Breakfast was like feeding time at the zoo, there is no relaxation around the pool area, you have to fight to get a sun bed, and I have to say...the pool is tiny...I didn’t go in once, was as small as a toddlers pool at your local leisure centre. I wouldn’t return to this hotel, soft drinks were expensive aswell as ice cream etc. I spent £1000 in 10 days on just feeding and watering my sons, to be honest I wouldnt return to salou or this hotel in the summer months. It was as I said expensive and extremely overcrowded, walking along the beach and promenade was like walking along oxford street on Christmas Eve. I found the holiday stressful If anything. Went to the theme parks too, waste of money, we would wait 2-3 hours in scorching heat to get on one ride. My sons didn’t enjoy it at all :( I don’t like writing negative reviews, however I hope I can save a family some money. We are going to Cuba this year for two weeks, all inclusive for the same price I paid for salou last year for 10 days.

I booked the Augustus as I wanted a few days in a hotel near to a beach (30yr old solo female traveller). The hotel is huge and very busy. It is very modern looking and my room was big with 2 double beds and all very clean. Nice toiletries in the bathroom, plenty of towels. The hotel caters well for such a large busy place, plenty of sun loungers, seating and tables in the restaurant. The staff were all really polite and hardworking. The location is perfect and the €3 bus to the airport is a bargain! (Paid €35 in the taxi on the way in) Unfortunately the noise in the hotel is horrendous, the walls must be paper thin as I could hear every word from the next room, the chatter in the hall way and the screeching from outside. There were kids running riot everywhere and so many groups of school kids staying at the hotel. The restaurant wasn't great either, although staff very quick to find you a table the food was very average. A bit of choice but nothing spectacular. I wish I hadn't done half board. I expected the hotel and area to be fairly quiet mid April but it was absolutely packed, hardly any English there, mostly Spanish and French. Hotel offers free wifi which is quite slow but you can pay for a quicker service

Stayed here in October half term. Location of this hotel is perfect, beautiful sea front. Lovely pool area. Indoor bar was lovely and staff here very friendly. Reception staff less helpful and rude. Our room was very modern and sea view was amazing. What let's this hotel down was the dining experience. Stayed half board. Breakfast was awful and evening meal good worse. Had to queue for so a times 30 mins to get a table, the staff in here are miserable and the lady's taking your drinks orders were rude and sharp! It was as if we were getting in their way. Food like warm and very poor selection. Would stay again, but room only.

We stayed in the adjoining Augustus Viviendas Turisticas Vacacionales for 10 days but were able to use the restaurant and pool in the Hotel Augustus. Both were very good. Food in the hotel was good with a great variety and quality. Pool was good (cold in October) but great access to the beach which is just a few paces from the hotel.

Fantastic hotel with green surrounds, located on the beachfront. The location is perfect for the Salou. Comfortable, clean rooms with bathroom, balcony and stunning sea view. Delicious food, a variety of choice, so tasty and well prepared. Beautiful, safe and clean pool area with kids pool and lifeguard. Every night there was very interesting entertainment: dancing show, athletic groups, karaoke, and music band. Entertainment was brilliant. In the hotel, there are various offers of facilities: kids club, playground, laundry service, game room, TV rooms for adult and children. Cocktail bar with varieties of choice. Everywhere was always immaculately clean. Close to the hotel is a travel agency with bike hire, car park, market and bus stop. Babies and toddler-friendly hotel. Very pleasant, polite and helpful staff. I would 100% recommend this hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Upon arrival we were very pleased and the room was fantastic, modern and bright. The location is perfect for Salou and the beach. We can't fault the hotel itself or the location, the only negative was the dining area. The waitresses aren't very friendly and the wait for tables is long. The problem is because some guests have pre booked tables that sit empty whilst queues get longer waiting. I think some reorganisation is needed in this room then the hotel would be perfect. We hope to return next year and would definitely recommend. Many thanks

Having booked a quick Business / Pleasure break I stayed at the Hotel Augustus in Cambrils. This was a pleasant surprise to be honest, decent breakfast and nice refurbished room... Staff where good... very nice stay, perfect position on the beach.
