Fantastic hotel with green surrounds, located on the beachfront. The location is perfect for the Salou. Comfortable, clean rooms with bathroom, balcony and stunning sea view. Delicious food, a variety of choice, so tasty and well prepared. Beautiful, safe and clean pool area with kids pool and lifeguard. Every night there was very interesting entertainment: dancing show, athletic groups, karaoke, and music band. Entertainment was brilliant. In the hotel, there are various offers of facilities: kids club, playground, laundry service, game room, TV rooms for adult and children. Cocktail bar with varieties of choice. Everywhere was always immaculately clean. Close to the hotel is a travel agency with bike hire, car park, market and bus stop. Babies and toddler-friendly hotel. Very pleasant, polite and helpful staff. I would 100% recommend this hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
Upon arrival we were very pleased and the room was fantastic, modern and bright. The location is perfect for Salou and the beach. We can't fault the hotel itself or the location, the only negative was the dining area. The waitresses aren't very friendly and the wait for tables is long. The problem is because some guests have pre booked tables that sit empty whilst queues get longer waiting. I think some reorganisation is needed in this room then the hotel would be perfect. We hope to return next year and would definitely recommend. Many thanks
Having booked a quick Business / Pleasure break I stayed at the Hotel Augustus in Cambrils. This was a pleasant surprise to be honest, decent breakfast and nice refurbished room... Staff where good... very nice stay, perfect position on the beach.
Just came back from this hotel, 24th Oct. 2017, and its as smart and clean hotel. Staff work extremely hard. Its very clean, rooms clean and comfy, bathroom great, shower great, serviced every day, there is a fridge in the room, I've read in some reviews that there is a charge for the fridge, we was not charged. A big furnished balcony . Air con was good. Fantastic location, just step out of the hotel and onto the prom. We arrived early but couldn't check in until 2am. No tea or coffee facilities. Breakfast just ok, catered more for Spanish. If they had tea and coffee facilities, sunbed towels and maybe dressing gowns this hotel would be a great 4*
This hotel looks like a 5 star hotel. The redecoration is awesome and it’s location by the beach is great for families. The room is quite comfortable, but damn, how such a place can be so noisy ! Don’t count on sleeping there as you will hear all people in the hallway, your neighbors speaking in their room and all doors slamming, plus trucks engines that resonate in between buildings in the street. Too bad, as this placed is low price, very good looking, well located, but just not for tight sleepers.
I decide to visit PortAventura World and also enjoy the see side so Augustus fited perfect for it. Advantages: - hotel is on the 1st line near the see;(I even hear the waves from my bed:)) - very good supper; - as it is not a high season - receptionist gave as very good room and said that they try always do so if the rooms are free; - there is a show with dancers or singers every evening. To improove: - not a very large choice of food for breakfast expecially drinks. In total - Augustus is a very comfortable and good hotel for the pleasant rest
Hotel was lovely, clean, staff helpful. Check in was after 2. I think they mainly cater for Spanish as nothing was in English. The entertainment was good but again all in Spanish. It seemed only receptionist spoke English. The rooms were small enough for a family of 4. Very little sunbeds for the size of the hotel so if you want a bed make sure your down at 8am to get it otherwise forget about it. When I'm on holiday I don't want to set my alarm but if I wanted my bed that's what I had to do. Most hotels have a policy that if your bed is not used for a 2 hour period that they take your towel away. Not the case here. People reserved their beds at 8am but only actually used them from 3. Not fair on other guests. Food was basic. Breakfast not great. I lived on eggs and tomatoes. No chopped fruit at breakfast but plenty at lunch and dinner Conveniently located on bus route to Salou, 5 mins drive for €2. A lovely walk on the beach down to it with plenty of little beach hut cafes
I have stayed in this hotel 3x and for the 4th visit this September I accidentally made a mistake in the date . I called up within 10 mins but they refuse to accommodate - wrote them letter to reconsider since I'm regular customer and even just credit the money I paid for future use . I booked July 10 and travel will be September - still far away and enough time to reconsider . They won't allow modification at all . Selfish management .
We visited this hotel for a family holiday at the end of May, early June. The hotel itself is OK for three stars and positioned fantastically for the beach and the rooms are fine however the air con was only on from 9 am until 9pm and even then did not cool the room. Because of this we had to have the balcony door open and as we over looked the pool, the entertainment at night could be heard very clearly! We were also bitten alive by the mosquitos! The hotel was full of elderly Spanish which as a Spanish hotel is not unexpected. However they were rude, forceful and at one point we could not get out of the lift as they wanted to get in. We felt we were in the film Cocoon! The food was very basic and limited; we are not fussy eaters and like local food but even we found the choices limited. Overall a reasonable holiday for the time of year but the guests and the food in the hotel let it down. Not drunk Brits for change!
Arrived here just before 9am, dressed for an early flight from the uk, by the time we got to the hotel, we were pretty hot and uncomfortable to say the least, we were told that we couldn't check in until 12, which is understandable, but, disappointing Went back at noon, the queue was very long, but eventually got to the desk to be told, that we can't have key until 4pm! So , by the time we unpacked, we were hot, bothered and hungry. In all fairness to the management, there are notices saying that rooms are not available until late in the day, just something to be aware of Room was really nice, overlooking the pool with a sea view, storage within the room is probably the best I've ever had, but very very noisy, from the pool area, which is also where the entertainment is held of an evening, but the children's entertainment goes on until very late, and at times paw patrol at 10.30pm is a bit too much If you have children, it's a great place, but if your a couple maybe not your thing Breakfast, was varied, and there was a good choice for everyone, but there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms Hotel is directly next to a long, clean safe beach
