Decided to have a late summer break and after looking at jet2, decided on Xaine Park, before looking at the reviews. The hotel was on busy road which had night clubs, pizza shops etc. The reviews indicated that at night times there was a lot of noise, hence a request for a room at the rear. It would appear that noise is a problem everywhere in this hotel. Just below our room there was the kitchen from the next hotel. Each evening, rubbishy was collected, which was very noisy. Some of the main noise came from staff from that hotel, they congregated at the kitchen door to have a smoke and were very noisy chatting. That out of the way, the hotel Xaine was good, rooms very clean, plenty hot water and towels. The maids were excellent, as was the majority of staff, everyone very friendly. The food was very disappointing, very little variation and not always good. Chips with every meal, even for breakfast. Could not get to grips with boiled carrots, green beans and peas for breakfast. At breakfast, the chef was often missing (out the back in the kitchen) ,often had to wait to get a fried egg ! Despite all this, usually managed to find something to eat, even if it was not what you really wanted. Wonderful beach just down the road. We were on full board yet there appeared to be different tariffs which we were not offered. In the restaurant large groups had reserved tables with wine and water on the tables. Made it appear we were second class citizens.
Just returned from 9 days full board holiday staying at Xaine park hotel, the location is excellent, right in the middle of everything, shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. The hotel is clean and well maintained, our rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels every day aswell, our beds however were not changed, there was a lipstick mark on my sheet where I dropped my lipstick on the day we got there so I know it was the same sheets and the same bedcover as they had burn holes in it, we had booked a double room with a pool view but were given a corner room at the back ov the hotel above the kitchen which was very noisy in the morning, only 1 electric point in room but i had read this on an earlier review and took a 4 point extension with us so we were okay After 7 days our room key-card & wifi stopped working, we went to reception & told them we were booked for 9 days & this was soon rectified, just a little bit annoying The food was buffet style, a lot of it was Spanish food lots of fish. Spring rolls, Asparagus & chips was one choice for breakfast very odd, we always found something to eat, excellent salad bar, cereals, fruit, lots of breads and a dessert selection so we always found something to eat, hotel had evening entertainment but we never stayed for that. Overall we had an excellent time in Lloret De Mar, and Xaine Park Hotel is an excellent base and yes we would go back to this hotel but I would expect a better room
Well we arrived ten days ago not having been to this area before so came in not knowing what to expect well from day one it's been a great holiday staff ten out of ten food we were very surprised how good it's been room has been cleaned ever day unlike some we have stayed at in the past only small down point could do with some more electric sockets one is not a enough now days with phones and tablets etc but only a minor point would like to thank all the staff for a great stay and the cook who always went that little bit extra for me at the hot plate
Friendly staff clean hotel entertainment throughout the day good entertainment team all-round excellent value for money.great location in the centre close to bars restaurants close to the beach bus station opposite fast food all around open till late great excursions to Barcelona for shopping and to see Barcelona football ground the camp nou is a must for football fans all round excellent Holliday.
After reading reviews was a little bit apprehensive ,but found hotel staff friendly and pleasant there was noise from disco across the road but as we were drunk we didn't hear a thing. We stayed bed and breakfast which to be honest wasn't the best.Overall hotel could do with updating but for the long weekend we were there it was adaquit for us.
The location was great. Right bang in the middle of everything. Hotel was clean and the staff were great and very friendly. There is no such thing as a double bed in this hotel. They call it a french bed which is 2 twins put together with sheets. The only issue was the noise. The walls and corridors are paper thin so you can imagine the noise. Breakfast was very diverse. Very nice. Bacon however ony available once a week. Hotel pool was tiny and not many sun beds. Upstairs terrace was very nice though, no pool though.
The staff was always friendly and willing to help with questions or requests. Enough variety of food, English breakfast in the morning, corn flakes, bread, yoghurt, croissant and many more options to choose from And the evening food was various also We went in September so it was cheap as well
this hotel is a budget hotel and is what you'd expect for the price...we traveled as a couple and a single person,so,2 rooms..the single room(which had the same amount of everything as the double)was much bigger than the double....it also had a full size balcony..our double room had a bit of a triangle balcony with a 6 foot wall on one side and a very small wall on the other so the people in that room could look into our room...we also had 10 inches of balcony railing so we had to take it in turns if we wanted to look out..I had emailed the hotel twice before travel to ask for a quiet room as i was aware this hotel overlooked the main strip..our room overlooked the strip, after the first noisy night I asked if we could swao but were told nothing available...another family who were quite rude to the staff and made a lot of noise got moved..maybe I should've shouted....the restaurant isn't too bad and we always found something to eat although the majority of the guests are eastern europeans and it's catered mainly for them.the rooms are clean and towels and beds changed regularly, entertainment is a bit hit and miss but Kevin does his best.the evening entertainment is 1 game of bingo followed by a disco...every night....the pools are a waste of time.the 'indoor pool ' is only open a few hours a day and while we were there taken over by gangs of rowdy teenagers..the outdoor pool is too cold even for polar bears and the 2 small pools on the roof seem to be a home for dead insects.be aware this hotel is full of groups of teens from eastern europe who return at around 5am from the clubs..without the gangs of teenagers it could be a nice hotel.
Good thing, staff are good. Location for the beach - great. Location for noise, poor. Just seen a review from someone who stayed at the front, and disturbed from the noise from the nightclubs. Was suggested they should have tried moving to the back. The back is just as bad, with bins being emptied in the middle of the night, kitchen noises - plates crashing. The rooms, have paper thin walls, you can hear everything from neighbouring rooms. Room basic, balcony in a small semi circle overlooked by other balconies, so no privacy. Bathroom, very poor with the bath stained and shower curtain frayed. Food in the restaurant, was on half board, tried the first night, was not impressed, tried once more for dinner, and still awful. Breakfast was OK. But you can't go wrong with bread, cereals and pastries. The hotel needs updating, pool small and nearly always in the shade, roof terrace limited space. The hotel seems to be trying to attract passers by, and should do more for it's guests.
terrible shame, staff were very good, but noise was unbearable from night clubs and amusement arcade with punch balls just over the road until 5am, hotel in desperate need of a refurb, food was very bad,and give up with the lift, we had booked 7 nights but left after 3
