Great hotel opposite the beach and right by the old town. Very clean everywhere. All the staff were very friendly. Nice pool and Jacuzzi on the roof. We stayed B&B and the choice at the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.
Very good food but service disaster, one starter comes more than 15 minutes after the others. Main course 3 finished then comes the other. One side dish arrives after food is over. No way I'll visit again. Food very good but I repeat service is a DISASTER
Location of hotel is great, fantastic roof top pool and Jacuzzi. We had a room at the side of the hotel that looked onto the street, we only stayed 4 night s so wasn't a problem, if we stayed longer we would have paid extra for a better room. Rooms are clean with great air con and a fridge that was very useful, black out curtains, very comfy beds (new mattresses). We stayed half board as we were out all day, food was ok, a good selection but could have been hotter. Over all a nice clean well positioned hotel, pool was the best thing! Great for short stay.
Myself and 2 friends stayed at the hotel last weekend. I must say we are very happy with the way we were treated by the staff. The room and cleanliness was OK.The location of the hotel is brilliant for everything you need. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Some really good cocktail bars a few strides away. Beach right across the road. Would go back if we are in lloret again.
Stayed here for the f1 weekend as only hr drive away. The hotel is facing the beach and has rooftop pool but this is undercover in the shade. The room is large and spacious and the wifi is excellent along with the buffet breakfast and the hotel restaurant. The only downside is the aircon only blew out warm air and the beds were too hard for us
I went here yesterday with my wife for an wedding anniversary evening meal. The place looked lovely. We ordered our food and had a drink. When the food came out it looked lovely when it was served served. But it all ended there. My chicken and chips we're cold and my wife's steak was very fatty and also freezing. We will not be returning EVER.
Stayed here for 5 nights for a short break as part of a trip to watch our rugby league team play in Perpingnon. The reception area is currently under renovation but this did not have any effect on our stay. The room although small was perfectly adequate with it being cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. We booked on a half board basis, breakfast was good with a good selection of hot and cold food and a cooking station where you could get omelettes. Evening meal was basic but the food cooked was tasty and a good fresh salad bar. This is a great hotel for a short break but maybe not for a week or 2 week holiday.
As part of this years visit to Barcelona My wife and I were looking forward to staying a few nights on the Costa Brava /Lloret De Mar. Previous hotels we`d stayed at during previous visits to Spain were `no frills` easy-on-the-wallet establishments - no complaints with them but as soon as we walked in from parking the hire car & hustle and bustle getting out of Barca centre /motorway & tolls to the Marsol foyer /reception area it was almost like a welcome `home coming` from this pleasant beach side hotel. Other reviews pick up on `thin` walls with the rooms, OK, but its enough for the majority of the time...you`re sometimes going to get idiots making too much racket in most places you stay whether the walls are brick or plasterboard! Adequate, paid for road side parking that you could see from the room probably ensures your transport is going to be as you left it. Once inside the hotel; the relaxed ambience is a breath of fresh air, particularly after our 3/4 hours motorway journey from Barca. Reception staff we met were quite attentive, enthusiastic and well informed, they could see that my wife and I were weary and quickly checked us in and issued with our room `swipe cards`. The receptionist pointed towards the lifts and politely gave us directions to our room. When we made our room reservation we`d made a wish list i.e. specified a quiet room overlooking the beach...this had been facilitated and upon entering we were impressed with our pleasant room, fixtures, fittings, en suite /bath and a comfy ample sized bed. We unpacking and stowed away our stuff in the ample wardrobe /cupboards, Shame there wasn`t any hot drinks machine just a couple of bottles of water in a small fridge that you needed to switch on yourself. We freshened up and maxed out on the `free` Wi-Fi..... We`d paid £70 per night including an all-you-can-eat `full English` breakfast. My wife and I felt that this was worth it for the lovely room, great views and acceptable breakfast.....I say acceptable as the bacon, sausages etc etc were probably hot from the kitchen BUT there was no hotplate area, the food was put on trays (clean enough) but not heated, so stuff quickly cooled off. The restaurant /dining facility reflects the rest of the hotel in that it is clean and efficiently run (despite the absence of hotplates in the breakfast bar). Hotel /Great location...... behind the hotel there is a maze of traditional narrow streets with many cafes and restaurants and shops to lose yourself in. Sea front Walks, in either direction take you some lovely secluded spots with wonderful views. My wife and I wouldn`t hesitate to come back to Lloret de Mar and we`d also chose to stay at the Marsol again (top floor, beach facing!)......hasta.
I even don't know where to start because I have loads of points to cover. First of all looking at all those positive feedbacks I feel that we visited completely different place or maybe people we not very selective if they were rating this place as good or even excellent. Lets start that the hotel itself is very simple, reception and corridors looks ok but as soon as you get in that tiny pocket room you start having a claustrophobia attacks. When you open the curtain the only thing you see is a wall max 2metres away from your window and 2 dirty mops in front. Cleanliness of the room deserves a separate reward of failure. I have dust allergy so I can feel dust straight away so after my small inspection I found that the top of large picture above our bed wasn't cleaned for at least all season or maybe even more (it's like a soft furry creature on top of the picture) also as we were new guests I would expect to find bed side lamps completely free from dust but it was dusty oh and let me mention dust under the bed as well. Now lets go to the bathroom - top of the light was very dusty, sealant between sink basin and worktop black mouldy (gross), door hinges rusty even the shower wall and glass partition wasn't cleaned to a 4 starts standards it was just wiped but all the scale marks was there. But the best bit was that previous guest sticked a sticker from the fruit on the wall in the bathroom but no one noticed and it was there during all our stay!!!! Food. Let's try to call stuff they serve food..... Breakfast - horrible no choice, no taste no quality. Boiled eggs every other day, strange looking fried eggs, white beans and bread with selection of 1 cheese and 3 meats even a toaster wasn't working proper! I tied once to put same piece of bread to toast twice and it was barely warm I'm not even talking about toasted. Lunch. We had it just once (6days stay) and reason is very simple. On our first day of arrival we had just dinner and we wasn't impressed at all but we decided to give them a chance for the following day and just imagine our disappointment then more than half of the things for lunch were leftovers from yesterdays dinner!!!!! One of the examples - crab claws were served for probably 3 days and because no one was eating them then on the day 4 we were serve a salad with crab meat and following day pastry baskets stuffed with the same salad! Dinner. Also nothing special but the managed to find something to eat but it was just a food without any pleasure of eating. Forgot to mention about the cleanliness of crockery! Filthy! 1 out of 10 coffee cups were clean same problem with glasses, even during the dinner the glasses which served for wine used to have food residue (like orange pulp) really disgusting when you need to check everything before to use it. I need to mention that me and my husband a not picky but we do understand what a good and tasty food is and basics of quality stanbdards. Another thing maybe it's just because it's out of season and hotel doesn't care about their standards anymore... well it's hard to say. And the Cherry on top of everything that during all our stay all the time we had to suffer from sewerage stack in whole hotel but worst place was reception. To be honest the most pleasant odour in whole hotel was restaurants toilet....... We had no Wifi for 2 days. Neighbours had a dog and that creature was barking for 2 nights. And while you're in the room you can hear every single step, sound or whisper in the corridor! On our last day we found a questionnaire on the floor about our stay in the hotel I did filled it up but kept it with me because on our check out receptionist even didn't bother to ask if the were happy with our stay just took the key card and said BYE. Ok Ok let me mention good things as well 1. receptionist lend me a socket plug adaptor - sorry I forgot to return it but hopefully housekeeper found it (or missed same as fruit sticker on the wall) and 2. that we were allowed to check out 12.00 instead of 10.00 Definitely we won't be staying there again or recommend it to any of our friends.
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, staff were friendly the hotel was spotless. The outside restaurant was beautiful as it over looked the beach, not to mention the rooftop pool is great and has amazing views. It is perfectly located across the beach and behind the hotel had many cafes and restaurants and stores to shop in. Can not fault this hotel would definitely stay again.
