This hotel is situated in the centre of Tossa. It was probably built in the early days of the Costa Brava tourist boom but has been recently updated. The room was a good size and comfortable with a bed large enough for a family of six. Unfortunately this generosity did not extend to the balcony which overlooked an uninspiring garden and was only big enough for one person. The staff were very warm and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice of dishes. The dining room where breakfast was served was very brightly lit and rather canteen-ish. This was ok for breakfast but not a suitable ambience for dinner. You'd be better elsewhere for dinner anyway as the food there was fairly canteen as well. In our experience the hotel was a nightmare to find. We drove past three times in our search without finding it, mainly due to the large tree which hides the sign.
Centrally located and 5 mins from the main beach, this hotel is certainly great value for money. The breakfast buffet is truly outstanding and the dinner buffet isn’t that shabby too. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay
The location is superb. One hundred meters to the right and you are in the old city. One hundred meters to the left and you are at the beautiful beach. The hotel itself was excellent. Spacious, spotless, and tidy room with a small balcony facing the street. Yet, there was no noise coming up from the street (we sleep with closed doors). Beds were comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was rich and the staff was ok. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel so we can’t comment on that. Altogether we had an excellent stay. We regret we couldn’t stay longer and would like to visit again Delfin and Tossa de Mar. Drawback: Parking is 13 EU and is a few minutes walking distance. We parked on the street, free from 20:00 till 10:00. But finding parking on the street is a matter of luck. Stayed Sep-2017.
We went on a late holiday this year, we stayed in Hotel Delfin from 10th to 20th Sept 17. Stayed in room 119 situated to the side of the hotel looking down on the street, the room has every thing you need TV , minibar, air con, private bathroom, bed was a bit hard, it can be noisy on the street but it all dies down by 11pm. On our arrival no problems checking in receptionist was very professional and courteous as all the Hotel staff were, we could find no fault with any member of the staff, By the end of the 10 days they were more like friends especially the catering staff. 10 out of 10 The hotel has no swimming pool but it has a Jacuzzi and a solarium on the roof excellent facility. I didn't like the beach it was all pebbles very hard on the feet and I considered the surf dangerous for children and as an adult you would want to be a strong swimmer.
We stayed 7 days recently in this lovely centrally located hotel in Tossa de Mar. The hotel is very near the beach and all amenities shopping etc The bedroom with a balcony is big and spacious. The bed was super king size ! Comfortable and clean. Our room overlooked the street but there was no noise as the patio doors are sound proof !! The staff are very friendly. The bedroom cleaners are very efficient. The dining room staff are very friendly and their use of English is excellent especially Laura who seems to be in charge of matters in the dining area. Conchi at the arrivals desk is very efficient, friendly and helpful. Internet is excellent and free !!! All in all a very pleasant experience for us and we would certainly recommend this friendly, well situated and comfortable hotel for your stay in Tossa.
Very good hotel. Beach is very close to hotel. Planty restaurants around,I would recommend pizzeria da jovanni Terrible person on the front desk. Absolutly unfriendly. When we arrived she even didn't say welcome, enjoy your stay, and so on Made many mistakes with our credit card. She charged it four times, instead 1. We have to pay to our bank transfer fee. She even didn't say sorry. Her name is Conchi!!!! Try to avoid contact her The rest of the staff is very friendly, excellent breakfast, new room
Stayed here two different times, on both ends of our 2 week vacation to Costa Brava and southern France. Once for 2 nights and the last time for 3 nights. Had only booked the first 2 nights when we left home, but decided to re-visit Tossa for our last stop of our journey and were very happy to return to Hotel Delfin. Just a couple blocks walk from the bus station, it's located basically at the center of the little roads with all the shops and restaurants just off the beach, about two blocks from the actual strip along the beach. Bed was large and very comfortable. AC worked great, was very nice coming into a cool room after hours out hiking or at the beach in the heat. Jacuzzi on the roof was nice to relax by with a couple drinks to unwind. Terrace overlooked the street. Room-darkening curtains were very effective at keeping out light in the morning. Also want to mention a screwup that was completely our fault that the staff resolved without hesitation. We booked the final 3 night reservation a few days before arriving. We had a spotty internet connection, so we tried to book online but it didn't look like it went through. So we then called, and booked a room for 3 nights. We checked in and went to our room, in the morning, we noticed we had two charges. The online reservation actually did go through and was accepted, unrealized by us, as well as the room we booked over the phone. We told the staff, they understood what had happened, and refunded us the "double" booking immediately without question even though they easily could have been in the right to keep some or maybe all of the amount.
Very clean hotel, with amazing service and great utilities. Close access to the beach (3-5 minutes). The room was quiet with no street noise. Great air conditioning. The hot tub on the roof was great, and an incredible breakfast buffet.
Nice quiet clean and well located hotel. 2 Minutes from beach, nice sun roof with hot tub, excellent breakfasts and brilliant service. They even packed us a picnic breakfast on the last day as we had to leave early for the airport.
This is a very nice hotel in a great location in the middle of Tossa, a charming Spanish seaside town with medieval quarter. The hotel staff were very friendly and helped us find parking, which isn't easy in tossa and comes at a price (we paid 18 euros a night). Our balcony was small and had an unnerving slope. But that shouldn't detract from the hotel's many merits; the room was very spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The beach, restaurants and bars were all within easy walking distance
