We went to Beautiful Lloret to spend a week of Ester Holiday in Costa Encantada hotel. 2 grownups and 3 kids age 8,8,10. Half board option was great, most of the meals were absolutely DELICIOUS and served beautifully, also deserts, ice creams and fruits in abundance every single day. We were spoiled for choice of sweets, homemade cakes and crunchy breads and buns full of flavour even just eaten with creamy butter. The break between half board meals was quite long though. Breakfast 8-10am and dinner 7:30-10pm so especially children were ready for an evening meal. The restaurant itself was clean with a glass wall allowing amazing view on the palm trees. Most of the staff ( reception always very polite and helpful and speaking good English) were very professional yet some restaurant staff was indeed rolling their eyes on us (lady with braided hair ) and never really smiled. Another time, a female waitress with fierce makeup started talking to us full s sentences in Spanish/ Catalan? And it made us feel very uncomfortable because we couldn't understand her and she didn't seemed to understand English either. Same strange impression of a security guard not very welcoming and highlighting that he's Catalan- not Spanish. ( we are here for holiday- not politics) Unfortunately I must admit, that we could feel a very heavy political climate in Catalonia:( entire streets in Barcelona sprayed and vandalised with slogans and it feels like something serious is hanging in the air) I've been several times before in this region and never felt in general so unwelcome as a tourist. That's a terrible shame for people's political views to be affecting their professional attitude. In the hotel, We loved our comfortable and spacious rooms and the chill-out lounge downstairs was great. The Hotel was very quiet this time a year. Kids loved indoor swimming pool as outdoor one was lovely to look at but obviously far too cold in April. We had our beds made to perfection on daily basis and the floors were more- less swept too yet there was dust on the surfaces, and inside the wardrobe so when we put our dark clothes in, they had grey dust on them. I've stressed this already out at the reception, and the cleaning staff came back to wipe the floors again. Nice ladies. Our favourite place was definitely the balcony. Very spacious and convenient. Perfect coffee spot with a relaxing pool view. Kids loved the lifts 'waiting' for us often with doors open and there was a small playground on the side of the hotel too. Blanes and Lloret itself are beautiful with breathtaking beaches and tones of walking distance attractions so despite some hiccups, I strongly recommend this hotel as a family friendly place and we thank you guys for our lovely holiday :)
Flew with Jet2 to Girona which is a lovely airport with 3 smoking terraces! 5 adults and 6 children all inclusive at the costa Encantada, which is just outside Lloret demar with the nearest beach approx. 10 to 15mins walk through shops. The beaches are coarse sand so take your footwear, but they are beautiful. The hotel is lovely with big and little un's pools, the big pool being shaped and great poolside snacks throughout the day if you don't want to go to the restaurant all the time. The food is plentiful and decent, we loved the nestl'e icecreams for afters, and the layout provides for outside eating when hot.We had rooms 555 to 557 and had a sea view albeit a distant one and the rooms are superb with fridge and microwave and a decent tele. The hotel staff are excellent and there are nice quiet lounges if you want to have a read and the hotel is on the main bus route with Blanes a few miles away and Lloret within a 20min walk.Football courts are ideal for the kids and the mini disco at night is great for little uns.Only took 20mins transfer to the hotel, but on our return we were taken all around the mountains to pick up 4 people and it took nearly 2hours! so be prepared. All in all a great hotel and would go again, recommended.
Nice rooms, with good facilities, can self cater or full and half board. Restaurant is reasonable value and pretty good for a buffet style restaurant. Car parking available on site Reasonably well located hotel, just close enough to both Lloret and Fenals beach, and the town, so easy to walk to everything but a little quieter than in the middle of town.
was my first time in Spain. My family and me was a little worry about the political situation about Catalunya. The only problem that we got was the car from the aeroport to the hotel, was very late. My boys was sleeping and tired, but the recepcionist was very nice and flexible with us, i dont remember the name but was lovely the guy with the glasses. I want to say again thanks you for all. But in general, the hotel staff is amazing! i dont undertand the bad comments about it. The food amazing, we was two week and the food wasn´t repet. The room clean, the animation amazing also, you got show every night, magic show, music, talent show... For me the best thing is the hotel no its in a disco zone. Is a hotel familiar perfect for family for us. I dont want to finish without say thanks to the hotel staff, specially the girl from the miniclub Irenn, she was lovely with my boys and very funny. great job and i hope come back this summer!
Stayed here October 1st-11th 2017 The Hotel is fantastic with its grand entrance and very polite and helpful staff. Gail was the 1st representative we met and i personally interacted with her several times whilst there, even picking her brains to cleaning agencies telephone numbers and working practices (for the mrs). Our rooms were fantastic and very clean. the balcony clean and presentable too. Our boys aged 7 and 8 loved it. We stayed half board so had buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal. The food was really good to be fair. The boys thoroughly enjoyed it. I never had to complain or moan about anything once. They put on different evenings and the food stations have something for everyone.... The pool areas very clean, the indoor pool very warm, it was fantastic. The outdoor pool bar food was good and the staff pleasant and friendly. The animation Team are something else. The shows these guys and girls put on every night is amazing. All the kids get involved. Kamil and Judit and the rest are absolutely top notch. 10/10 A+ !!!! The other shows that are on every night are nothing short of spectacular !!! The whole holiday was truly fantastic and we will be back this year 2018 without a shadow of a doubt. Please see my youtube video "Thankyou Animation team Hotel Encantada" Thanks for providing us with such great memories ApartHotel Costa Encantada See you soon !!!!
Stayed here for a week for a girls holiday mid June 2017. The hotel is an ideal location from the strip and beach being only a 5 minute walk. The hotel was family friendly and quiet, the food was of good quality, fresh food and the menu changed daily. The room and bathroom was clean with towels and linen changed daily. The bar staff, in particular Antonio was friendly and remembered our usual orders each night having them ready for us. Would recommend going all inclusive, especially if it's a group of girls/lads, so much easier, plus McDonald's was on the way back to the hotel coming from the strip. However on the last night's of our stay the A.C. broke, the staff were accommodating and moved us to a different room. Would definitely go back.
I stayed here a couple of years ago on a family holiday and am thinking of re-booking for a week in 2018. Just reading some of the negative comments about poor food - and I have to say for a buffet style restaurant, this was one of the best I've ever experienced, and we did not get ill, not even a little! There was plenty of fish for one thing, and I didn't notice food being rehashed the next day into something else (which is usual for buffets). There are a lot of Europeans who stay here, including many Spanish guests, which just wouldn't happen if the food wasn't good. My kids loved the fresh bread at breakfast time, and even (attempted) to make their own version of it when they returned home. There was plenty of choice for them and for me although none of us are fussy eaters and we are all happy to try new food. Wine is cheap to buy in Spain so I would recommend buying your own booze at the store a couple of minutes walk away rather than going all inclusive, and buying alcohol in the restaurant isn't that pricey if you fancy a drink with your meal, that is not served in a plastic glass. The apartment was spacious and quiet, it did not have a modern style but it was comfortable and clean. The indoor pool was nice, but did get busy (we went in Easter and the outdoor pool was too cold to use), it was also over-chlorinated but the kids enjoyed it and did not come to any harm.
How anyone could write anything negative about this hotel is beyond us?! Clean, nice location, every staff member polite and helpful (especially Gail and the night desk guy who offered us drinks on arriving 6am after 8 hour airport delay) Food was lovely, varied entertainment and plenty for kids to do. Really can't speak highly enough, our 1st family holiday and we'll be back for definate next year. X
Let's start by saying very cool resort. Not very much entertainment, but it felt safe staying there, security were patrolling the resort all night, and the best part is it is very quiet at night time because its not located on a main road like most of the resorts in lloret de mar. Front desk personnel were also very friendly and curdios. The resort has a convenient store but not open at all times. Now lets talk about food. Resort has a restaurant on the main floor, breakfast was very good, money worth somewhat, lunch i was always out so i never ate there, dinner i went only once but for some reason Maybe bad luck i didn't like it very much. Before i forget the hotel was very clean, they cleaned every day our room. It is about 10-15 min hung over walk to the beach but definetly worth the walk, because so many stores and restaurants many choices to eat and buy things. Beach was very clean and water was clean as well, some jelly fish started appearing last few days we were there but nothing scary because water was clear so you could see everything in the water.
Don't know how people can not be happy with this hotel it's clean friendly with good sized rooms with a kitchenette area which includes a micoware and fridge being full board the fridge come in handy for the alcohol we brought from the shop across the road. Food was basic hoilday food hall style meals with a selection of salads meats potatoes chips veg etc and deserts at both lunch and dinner and breakfast had hot full english to cold basic cereal all drinks come with breakfast but your lunch and dinner drinks are at a cost so you can either wait till the end of your holiday or at the end of your meal which we found easiest as we didn't want a bill at the end of our break only thing is having to line up for dinner and we went at end of season so peak would be a nightmare. Nice indoor and out door pool both a nice size. Overall apart from not being told about the drinks at meal times and not welcome booklet explaining things like fire exits and emptying bins yourself we had a lovely time and would return.
