We booked this hotel. Myself hubby and 3 kids. Aged 9 8 4. I could not rate this hotel enough. It's very clean. It's in an excellent location. Situated 10 minute walk from lloret de mar centre. Super market and shops 2 min walk from hotel. Bus stop beside super market! We went self catering although we added breakfast. This is the first time we went self catering and I must say I'd never go all inclusive again!! We did a boat trip to Tossa del mar. It was georgous. We went to water world and also marine world. All 3 outings were superb. Restaurants near by too many to write down but all were excellent. Staff at the hotel are lovely. A massive big shout out to Gail the Scottish lady on reception. She deserves high credit the loveliest friendliness helpful lady ever to work at a hotel. Nothing was ever a problem for her. She was extremely helpful. We will def return to this hotel. We stayed in room 352. Situated 3 floors up over looking the pool. Lovely view which we had hoped for. Anyone need any advice feel free to ask me. We took in a lot whilst we were here. Brilliant holiday. Our best yet. Hope this review helps.
Stayed at costa encantada family 2 adults 3 kids 14/11/3 9th June too 16th June pool area is excellent loads to do plenty of beds loads of room in the pool aswell nice indoor pool . The food is what it is if your all inclusive same all over Spain no point moaning about it breakfast was the best if this is a help . Bar staff can be very ignorant that must change for me kids entertainment could be better but ok . Room cleaned every day fresh towels clean bedding so that's good .lady called Gail lovely and help full but all the receptionist were aswell Lorett town 10 min walk that's ok water park amazing a must My over all opinion is would return and recommend enjoyed our stay
Just stayed here for a week with my partner and 3 year old son. We had a one bedroom apartment on the third floor, cleaned everyday, clean towels everyday. Beds weren't changed during our stay. Bathroom bins emptied daily but any other rubbish you have to take down yourself to the big bins outside. Pool area lovely loads of sun beds always enough for everyone and some left over, cleaned every morning. Only spoke to receptionists to check in and out but seemed pleasant. Bar stuff quite rude and impatient, don't expect a smile! Apart from the lady in the pool side all inclusive buffet in the day she was always lovely. Food very repetitive a lot of pork and fish which neither me or my son eat so a lot of chips and salad was eaten! There are very rarely any options for kids at meal times so we ended up eating our quite a few times. Breakfast was the best meal of the day with a lot of variety. Cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cooked breakfast or omelettes made to order. Not a lot going on around the hotel few shops and restaurants. 10 minute walk down to Lloret centre. Beach is small stones and once in the sea goes deep very quickly. Overall a good hotel only let down in my opinion is the food and few miserable staff.
Myself and my two kids had a lovely time away together. The apartment was excellent with plenty of room. Pool was great, kids were very happy with it. Food was good but not great, however we ate very well. The beaches nearby are really nice with amazing views. We went on trios to Tossa De Mar which we really enjoyed, and a trip to Barcelona, which is an amazing place, only wish I had more time there. Would definitely go again if the opportunity arose.
Recently returned from spending a week at Costa Encantada. We had an apartment on the 5th floor that was very spacious and offered all the facilities we required. It had direct access to the roof that no one uses but assume if you want an alternative place to sit or sun bake you can. This is a very popular hotel and is particularly attractive to young families with kids. We were told there were over 700 people staying at the time we were there but it was manageable albeit busy. Previous reviewers comments about the pool and entertainment are pretty spot on. We had half pension and so enjoyed breakfast and an evening meal every day. I would add that even though the place was fully occupied meal times weren't that bad. Suggest you pick your times however. For breakfast that is between 8am and 10am get there before 9.15am if you can as we found there was always a late rush from 9.30am onwards. Plenty of space to sit. For dinner sure people start queing early before 7.30pm but if you can wait suggest getting there about 8.30pm. Whatever the case the food choice and quality was excellent. Couldn't fault the options. Of course occasionally you run into the typical rude Russian (are they all born with no manners) and have to avoid a side bump as the dive for a plateful of prawns but that's about the worst of it. Recommend anything from the grill. Plenty of meat or fish or vegetarian options. Fresh fruit and deserts were reasonable. Staff were all pleasant and hard working. Exceptionally clean establishment. Couldn't fault their efforts. We used the hotel as a base and made day trips to all manner of places. Not a lot to see locally but if you have a car there are some lovely beaches, gardens, historical sites, volcanoes and even a winery to visit! Highly recommend this hotel.
Just about to depart from 2 weeks at the fabulous Costa Encantada, we've a lovely time. 2 adults, 4 children ages 11, 9, 7 & 3 - stayed on all inclusive basis in a two bed apt. The apartment has plenty of space, 2 bathrooms & a kitchen, we obviously weren't cooking but handy for the fridge & making cups of tea etc. Stayed in 515 which is top floor, with spiral staircase on balcony to roof terrace (we specifically req this apartment as thought we'd use roof terrace more than did). Lovely view from balcony. Foodwise - there's a great choice, even for a vegetarian there were some decent options some days, others a bit poor like mushrooms being the vegetarian option or potatoes. However there were lovely goats cheese dishes, always salads, pastas etc. You'd never go hungry however as with eating anywhere for any length of time it does get very same-y, it would be the same at a Michelin star restaurant though as that's just what happens! Lovely lagoon style pool, it was warm from the sun as we'd a run of days when the temp was in early to mid 30s, there are always plenty of sunbeds, though there's the usual morning trip with the towels to get a good spot poolside where kids safest or happiest. The pool bar has quick service, lovely Sangria & our kids loved the slushies. They've pool tables, table tennis here too & there'll be entertainment there during day too. The disco bar, has mini disco in evening approx 9pm, there they give out 'diplomas' from the daily events, so from the mini club might be for making Indian headpieces or for tennis tournament, this was a lovely touch & our 7 year old delighted to be called up on stage & presented with these. - queues for drinks here seemed to get a bit crazy toward the end of our stay as a fresh influx of people came in - it's basically self service for beer, wine & soft drinks, there's a coffee machine too & all other drink from barman, there's Cava, Rosé & water too that you can help yourself too! Which was lovely. The all inc drinks finish at 11pm sharp, it's a pay bar after that, with kids this never bothered us as would be ready to head up to bed after the entertainment over anyway. Animation team were lovely, there's a board at reception with what's happening & when, so it may be Aqua aerobics at 11 & waterpolo at 5pm something like that. As there's a good nationality mix the stuff taking place isn't just a bunch of people who know each other playing so it's easy to join in & fun. The 7 year old enjoyed the mini club, this was open 11.15-1.00 & 4-6 each day, only criticism is that this could have been longer or a little more prepared, however I think we're early in the season & I'm sure things will iron out. Staff friendly & happy. Cleanliness of the whole complex was spectacular, really well maintained & spotless. A huge attraction here for me is that rooms are serviced each day, and lovely towels replenished. Also there's a laundrette €5 for big load, dries overnight on balcony, did this a few times to freshen up towels, favourite bits etc. Lesson learnt bring less stuff next time. There's a lot more to mention but mainly would highly highly recommend this hotel - all staff very friendly so if you need something just ask & I also feel if you like something, tell them!! Travel tip wise -Girona closest airport, there's a bus that goes from airport past hotel or a taxi/arranged transfer done easily, last year think it cost €100 (return) for 6 & all luggage. This year we flew into Barcelona, took the train, this was totally doable too even with all kids, luggage etc. We got a 10 journey ticket that can cover 10 individuals or 10 trips or whatever, under 4s free. €41.50 I think, from Airport to Blanes (change at El Clot arago rather than Sants as smaller station). Blanes to hotel is either a bus or taxi trip - it's about 8km. Be aware there are apparently only 2 'big' taxis in Lloret so can't prebook these.
Booked this only a couple of months before going so got a fab price for 2 adults and 3 children. Arrived at hotel and we had requested a pool view which we hadn't got but the wonderful Scottish lady sorted it straight out for us , she was so helpful! Room was lovely and clean, spacious and couldn't fault anything , great view from balcony and the room was cleaned everyday so no complaints there. Fantastic facilities, first day was a bit chilly but there is a great indoor pool which was much warmer so ideal for the kids, pool is huge and clean with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Pool bar was great too. The hotel has a gym and a salon but we never went in there so can't comment on that. Shop in the entrance which is reasonably priced and you can get anything you need from there. Kids club round the corner which we didn't use but at the side was a basketball court and football pitch which my son loved and played on everyday. There is also a great outdoor play area for younger children. Down stairs from the pool is a laundry which is 5 euros to use , but pricey but I got all my holiday washing done on the last day in an hour which was good. Entertainment was good, animation team are doing loads of activities throughout the day for all the family and at night there is a mini disco and other entertainment after , wasn't amazing but we didn't mind as we just sat outside with drinks. Only fault is that the all inclusive drinks finishes at 11 so from when the entertainment room opens at 9 you have 2 hours to have a drink then everyone leaves once the entertainment finishes. Food was good, breakfast was gorgeous , omelettes made to order and every other thing you can imagine on the buffet, lunch and dinner are varied everyday but you always have the salad bar , always something to even if you are fussy or a veggi. During the day there is a snack bar by the pool, pizza, wedges, salad and burgers which was great. On the morning of departure they even opened the breakfast for us early (not hot food) this was great as we wouldn't have got anything until the airport. Again this was sorted by the lovely Scottish lady. They also have some good excursions you can book at reception. Would definitely go back , kids loved it and for what we paid it exceeded expectations.
Lovely place. Clean and tidy. However it would be nice for some staff to smile a little. All inclusive queue at reception bar is silly. Pay up front and then wait whilst cash buyers take precidence. Barman is hopeless cannot tell if he is called slow or stop. Be warned.
Firstly I'd like to say my reviews are honest and based on my opinion and experiences. Just got back from lloret Dr mar with a stay at Costa Encantada Hotel. When you arrive and walk into reception it looks very dated, probably the most bland I've ever seen. We checked in easy enough no with no dramas and was pointed in the direction of our room. On Entering the apartment it looked like a seventies retro style layout with settees that pulled into beds plus a small kitchen. One of the beds was Broken the air-conditioning didn't work and the toilet seat was falling off. Anyway by the end of day all was sorted and we were sort off content with the room but it was clear from the outset this was not 4 star accommodation. The pool area was pleasent enough with plenty of sun beds. The food was ok but repetitive and quite bland but not offensive. The drink again was ok nothing to right home about apart from you were hurded like cattle in to one spot with tape at the bar so one person could serve behind bar. "To the crunch" the staff came across as couldn't care less, no effort, no conversation, just a nod when it was your turn to be served. Also the times are posted for breakfast, dinner and lunch but on most occasion they were late. It just looked like they were penny pinching or just couldn't be assed. On departure we would have had time for some breakfast but again it was late so ended up grabbing something in the airport. Anyway this hotel didn't do anything for me and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone of my freinds but this is just my opinion. I would rate this hotel a 2 star poss 3 on a good day.
We have just returned from a week's family holiday. We were a group of ten staying in three different apartments. I'll break this into two parts, the good and the bad. The down side of the hotel is definitely the evening bar staff and the lack of entertainment or atmosphere. We repeatedly found the bar staff (especially Antonio) extremely rude to the point where I cannot believe he is employed at a family hotel. He snapped and shouted, thumped his fists on the bar if you dared to ask for more than one drink. I have never come across such awful customer service and he really did spoil our first few evenings. The other evening bar staff are not that happy, the odd smile would have been nice. There wasn't much in the way of evening entertainment although the animation staff did their best with an obviously low budget. The town is a 15 minute pleasant walk away but don't go down in the evening with young children it is very intimidating and my husband was approached by a lady of the night ( I didn't know whether to laugh or shout at her :0) Now for the positives. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff work very hard keeping it that way. They are mostly polite and always helpful when asked. Our apartments were cleaned daily, beds were comfy and the rooms are quite good with soundproofing. We know this as a baby was in the apartment next door, her parents apologised one morning telling us she had screamed through the night. We hadn't heard a thing only the odd chair being scraped across the floor in the apartment upstairs. WiFi in apartments is hit and miss as to where you are in the hotel but the lobby has free WiFi and you can purchase better WiFi for €15 for your room. I was disappointed not to have a sunny balcony as requested or even a pool view but our apartment was quiet and overlooked a small car park that had some beautiful flowers covering the walls so not so bad. We were all inclusive and we all found food we liked. The staff in the dining hall should be commended especially a young lad called David. They are very polite and work so hard, constantly clearing the tables, relaying them quickly. We never struggled to find a table to accommodate the ten of us and the waiters will bring you water, red or white wine. The only criticism I would have is there isn't a great selection of deserts but that didn't bother us. The food cooked on the grill is delicious. The pool area is very clean with staff washing all the floor and beds down every morning. Again they are helpful and polite. There was always sunbeds available although I will say I went down at 8am every morning to make we got ten beds together. The pool is saltwater and yes it's cold but as soon as you are in its lovely with plenty of room with it being so big. The animation team around the pool are great always smiling and friendly and we loved watching/taking part in the different activities. The hotel is about a10 minute walk from the beach which has lovely ice cream shack with some of the loveliest ice cream flavours I've tasted. There are activities on the beach such as paddle boarding and boats. If you go into lloret de Mar the cocktail bar right at the end on the beach is well worth a visit, it's fab. Overall we had a lovely holiday and if you are looking fir a quiet hotel with young children then I would recommend Costa encantada to you. One last tip we used suntransfers from girona airport booking them online before going. Excellent service and I would definitely use them again. Only a half hour transfer and almost the same cost as a coach transfer that would have taken two hours.
