Clean room, ideal place to find, friendly staff, the best chef in the restaurant, excellent buffet, the only minus was a great deal of hearing in the room, easy access to Barcelona airport, good entertainment in the evening.

We visited the Rosa Nautica at the end of August for 5 nights with our 2 young children (3 and 16 weeks) on a full board basis. The pool area and rooms (in process) need attention in our opinion. Unlike the rest of the hotel I didnt feel that the pool was as clean as it could have been and they need new loungers badly. On the plus side , the staff are lovely. Fatima in the resteraunt paid our 3 year old alot of attention which he loved. The food was great, always something nice to eat with decent variety, chefs regularly checking the food and off duty staff eating there was good to see. A good bottle of wine is 5 euros and they save it for later if you wish. Water was 2.5 euros which seemed expensive. If you are after a budget holiday in a clean hotel that serves good food then you could do worse than the Rosa Nautica !

Really nice place to stay! The hotel is very well positioned for the beach and all amenities, not right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, but it is within easy walking distance (as is the very convenient train station) Very friendly and efficient staff who will help out with any requests. Really good food in a very well organised, lively dining room and nice relaxed atmosphere in the bar area. I would definitely stay here again!!

just got back from a 4 nights stay what can I say I no it said standard room but I did not think it would be as bad as it was staff were not friendly at all the pool area was a joke most of the beds were broke my husband sat on one and it hit the floor he has a bad back so he was very lucky the stairs shook as you went into the pool and then it was a big drop in so I only went in the pool once food was excellent and the restaurant was lovely and modern that is the only nice thing I can say about this hotel I could not recommend this hotel

We stayed 6 nights at Rosa Nautica and I can tell that the hotel doesn't deserve the grade on TripAdvisor.. - only reception and restaurant have been renewed, bar, swimming pool and all bedrooms but superior ones are more than old and with terrible beds. Walls are so thin I could hear the neighbors taking a shower or waking up in the morning.. - if you wish a double bed for your couple, you might have to book a bigger room than the "double room" that only comes with twin beds ! - at the reception you might encounter another negative surprise as some of the employees are awfully not nice - we were in full pension but notice that you will not have any drink included for it at the restaurant for lunch or dinner - not even a bottle of water... you can go and pay for it at the bar - schedule for the restaurant are quite tight, Be careful. At least staff here is lovely - food is globally Ok. I expected much more based on the previous comments I read, it is quite good quality but you finally end up with same things in your plate quite fast - only satisfying point was the location, at 10m of the access to the beach, nice and pretty large for costa brava. Pass your way and come back in 5 years when all the hotel will be restored and the staff changed, then it could be a great place..

Very goed food, but very busy in the dining room. Sometimes you have to waite ... Friendly staff. The rooms are clean. Location not so good: they were building an other hotel at the back side of Rosa Nautica + the train passes in front of the hotel. The beach is nice. The streats around the hotel are not very clean and busy.

We stayed in the Rosa Nautica hotel for 2 weeks and we absolutely enjoyed every single day and night here. The staff is very kind, always smiling and ready to help. Rooms are cleaned every day. The food is excellent with plenty of choice. Great location, everything is really close by. Special thanks to Joseph and Piero. You are amazing! Definitely will be recommended to my friends to go to this hotel. This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star service! Thank you all for an amazing holiday. Daniel, Joanna and Mati.

All in all, it's a budget hotel with excellent food. We stayed for 9 days on a full board basis, a family of four. Had booked a standard family room with a sea view and found out it only meant a side sea view from the balcony, unfortunately. For a proper sea view you either need to book a more expensive room or two double rooms, as most of these rooms are doubles, not family. But apart for the view we liked everything else about our room, it was what we expected. The room was well cleaned every day, towels changed every other day. The only minor issue we had was that couple of times a maid did not leave any new shower gels, but eagerly brought us a handful as soon as we asked. A special word must be said about the food. I honestly didn't expect it to be so good, remembering the hotel was only 3-star. The quality of the restaurant is definitely higher! Every day there was a selection of meat and fish both for lunch and dinner, lots of vegetables, salads, fruits and desserts. One day it was a Mexican night, the other day the dinner was mostly seafood, and so on. The dishes only started to repeat after a week. The waiting staff is also excellent, special thanks to Fatima! You may have to wait is you arrive later for dinner but that's because in high season the hotel is really full. The entertainment programs were average, except for the girls who did Indian and Arabian dancing, they were really good. The kid's club is only open in the morning, which is a pity, we usually went to the beach at that time. Plus there's a mini disco in the evening. The town itself is rather nice and quiet. If you're looking for wild parties, don't go to Malgrat. It's a place for a relaxing vacation with a family. We would love to come back.

The hotel is in a lovely location, just across from the beach. The staff are fantastic & very friendly. We only booked breakfast which was great. Must try the Spanish omelette at breakfast best I've had, Rooms are modern & light. Small balconies but great views from sea view rooms.

This hotel is in a lovely spot just off the roundabout with some rooms facing the sea. They also face a train line but so do all of the hotels on the front. This applies to most places along the Barcelona - Blanes line as its all coastal. We knew this before we went so it was as expected. We did have a sea view room and I quite liked the train line although sat on the balcony reading I did jump out of my skin when the train blew it's horn!! We flew into Gerona from Liverpool and got a shuttle to the Hotel. Took about an hour as it passes through Calella, Santa Susannah and we were second to last drop. We arrived at Midday and advised our room wasn't ready until 1pm. So we put our bags in the hotel luggage room and went off to change some money. We soon found the tobacco shops are the best place to change money but they are closed on Sundays so ended up changing a small amount of money in a hotel (higher rate but same as most hotels). Anyway we walked back to the Rosa to check in. This was easy, gave us WiFi info, room key (you only get one per room) and a card for breakfast etc. Our room as said was front facing and the views were lovely over the beach. Fairly compact, dated decor and bedding, same for the bathroom. Sufficient storage space for both of us. The big plus was how clean it was, in fact the entire hotel was spotlessly clean. The downside for us was the complete nightmare of the air con. Apparently it only works from noon to 1am. On arrival we could hear the noise of it working, but no air at all came out. I reported it on the first morning, having spent the night in what felt like a greenhouse. I couldn't wait to get up and get out of the room. I will say if it's windy the balcony offers lovely relief. The hotel reception staff are always friendly, and try to be helpful. They assured me someone would look at it. We arrived back later to find if was now not even making any noise and still no air. So another night in the greenhouse. Second morning reported it again, and also asked for a fan as I couldn't bear another night in the greenhouse. Came back later to find a fan had been delivered. This did help a little but once night-time came it was just blowing hot air around. This was really annoying and no message was left to explain what the problem was or to contact reception. Anyhow onto the bar/cafe. This was open from early and on into the night, staff were absolutely brilliant, Kenna is lovely, friendly, full of smiles and great sense of humour. Always happy to help. Pool area isn't that big, but you do have a beach over the road about 5 min walk to the water itself. Small pool for kids and bigger pool attached. This is very deep at one end (2 metres). For us it was fine, however the sun loungers are awful. Many aren't adjustable, and I had to try six different loungers to find one that wasn't broken. Many just sunken in the middle but really uncomfortable to lie on. This desperately needs addressing but should have been done prior to the season opening. The restaurant is light, bright, modern, plenty of choice for the majority. Staff in here are also lovely, happy to help you, friendly and great with kids. Downside was the temp of the food. Breakfast is from 8-10am but we went at varying times. Even at 8.30am food wasn't even tepid. There is a microwave but from a food safety point of view this is unacceptable. As food temps drop so does the bacteria level rise so for us this was an issue. This was consistently the case on different times and days. This hotel is popular with German, Danish, Polish and a few other European guests. I only heard one other English accent during our stay. This wasn't a problem in any way for us, enjoyed a break from English accent. Overall this wasn't a particularly cheap deal, however it is in a lovely location and staff and cleanliness is 5 star. Couple of things let it down but it's room for improvement.
