Good points: very close to beach and amenities. The hotel was mostly clean Bad points: food was cold and one of the evenings made me sick. The drinks in the hotel restaurant were expensive and you were not allowed to even bring water from outside into the restaurant, and if you do not finish you restaurant drinks you can't take it out! The walls and windows are so thin, I didnt sleep well for the whole week we stayed. The hotel has signs saying no loud noise after 10pm, so they dont seem to do anything about it. My bed sheets were not changed for 3 days, I had to ask reception to get someone to do this. One of the days they even forgot to leave us clean towels, so we had to go back down to reception. There was a phone in the room, but with no instructions and after awhile just pressing buttons we still couldnt call reception and had to physically go there each time we needed them. The room description states there is a safe in the room, there is, but you have to pay to use it! I found this to be ridiculous! The room fridge has a padlock on it so you can't plug it in and use it without paying. The wifi wasn't free, and so expensive! The lovely British pub across the road has free wifi! Having a safe in the room (without having to pay) should come as standard for all hotels! This is a hotel after all, not a hostel! The hotels in Santa Susanna are within walking distance and are so much better quality. So pay a little more and get a good nights sleep!
Good points: The hotel is lovely and clean, it is in an excellent location and the staff are fantastic. But t Bad points: The food is awful and always cold at breakfast there was no fresh eggs being cooked they had been fried earlier then left under heated lights so they were cold and hard. The entertainment was dire. And then there was all the extras that had to be paid for like WiFi, fridge (which is in the room but locked), safe, late checkout, all these things add up so what started as a reasonable price ended up expensive (especially when you have to eat out to eat out to get a decent meal) . We love the area but this is the worst food in any of the many hotels that we have stay at in this area, which is such a shame because the location is perfect - close to shops and train station.
Location - 5 minutes to Malgrat railway station - last hotel on the promenade beside shops, taxi rank, pharmacist and supermarket - under pass access to miles of sea & sand Hotel - rated 3 star but with staff, food and service of a 5 star - rooms dated but spotless clean. Fresh towels and room clean daily - boutique style lounge - reasonable priced bar - wifi cost 20 euros for a week and a good connection in the room - each room has a good size safe (for hire) and air conditioning
Fantastic Hotel & great value for money. The food was excellent with such a great variety every day. The sea food night was awesome. The hotel is located at the end of the strip, opposite the beach & train line although this is the same for all the hotels. The rooms are currently being upgraded & we were lucky to have one of the new refurbished rooms. There is a good mixture of guests from different countries, all getting along fine. The staff are fantastic & helpful. There is a daily kids club & disco, with evening entertainment & show on most nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family .
Myself & my boyfriend (both age 24) went to the Rosa Nautica hotel for 5 nights & 6 days. The hotel is very nice & situated on the beach front. There is a railway track a few meters outside the hotel but this doesn’t ruin the landscape of the hotel at all. We were situated at the west end of the hotel on the 4th floor at the end, we had a balcony & did hear motorbikes at night & also the train but this wasn’t a very bad issue. It is an English/ Spanish/ German speaking hotel but most of the residents are German speaking, hardly any English people whilst we stayed there. The staff are Spanish & some do have difficulty speaking English especially at meal time as they direct you to your seats. The food was very nice & each night has a theme, we enjoyed sea food night the most out of all of them. You do have to purchase drinks- Coke, Sprite etc are 2 Euros 10 each and a large bottle of water suitable for 2 people is 2 euros 40. Lots of variety of food. We only saw the evening entertainment twice, not the best entertainment in the world but did for a night with cocktails near the pool. The area is great and 5 minutes’ walk from the train station, where we travelled to Calella for the day which is only a 12 minute journey and has more shops. There are a few supermarkets in the area & a few clothing shops (No big stores where you could spend lots of time shopping). Check out is at 10am on the day you leave. We paid 30 euros to have a late check out and we were able to spend basically the whole day in the room/ use the facilities until we were picked up late afternoon so was definitely worth the money. We had a very enjoyable time at Rosa Nautica, would highly recommend but next time would ask for a room not on the end fo the hotel as we heard bustling/ motorbikes/ trains at night time. Do recommend! :D
I recently returned from a weeks family holiday at this hotel. The hotel is a great little find and frankly punches above its on all levels. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and Comfortable and the food would not be out of place in a top class restaurant. Great little 3 star hotel.
How should I start... Third time in this fantastic hotel, from the reception until the cleaning staff everyone has a smile. A very well tuned team with two maestros Edmond and Pilar. They made us feel especial, family even. Piero again fantastic with Maria, Loli, Fatima, Xavi and all the other in the restaurant, they are full of life and always ready a joke. Miss u loads. Couldn't write about the restaurant without mention the food, absolutely fantastic with a quality second to none. Manuel Salazar is a top chef (my wife tried to kidnap him but didn't worked out 😊), his attention to detail is of a quality of world top chefs. A few more words for the bar staff, Josep, Manuel and co. very good very funny. (That veterano in a warm glass was very tasty). The new rooms on the fifth floor are very well decorated and even more comfortable than before. I know is a bit long this review but I could write even more. You need to go there to see with your own eyes . Thank you for another fantastic holiday and I'm sure that we'll see you soon.
as usually our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff are all great, the cleaning is just fine, and the food.....awwww the food was divinal, many thanks to chef Manuel Salazar Espejo for the great menus that he is doing, it was even better then last year (I've tried to kidnap him and bring him to England but didn't work out :) ) Many thanks to Rosa Nautica for making us feel so welcomed and especial at all times
Just returned from a lovely stay with my family at the Rosa Nautica. Firstly the staff here are amazing, they work hard but are always helpful and friendly. Lucie on reception, Piero in the restaurant and Josef in the bar deserve a special mention. The location of the hotel is great, centrally positioned and within easy walking distance of everything, the beach shops and bars are literally on the doorstep. Although the hotel is small it has everything you could need including a gym, kids club and evening entertainment. The only downsides are there are a lot of extras to pay for, for example a safe will cost you 20e, a fridge will cost you 25e and wifi 20e. so it can all add up, even water with evening meals is extra. But if you are prepared to accept this then everything else is great and we would highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here last week and the food, service and cleanliness were superb. I think it's only 3 stars but the pool, restaurant and communal areas were modern and above the 3*s I expected. We stayed in a standard room as we couldn't get a superior and it was perfectly adequate and spotless again while a little outdated this didn't concern us much and we were out all day anyway. There's tvs in the room and English news Chanel on 22. The bathroom had a bath and shower with hairdryer which was a little low in voltage. We had a balcony on the beach which was lovely as the sun hits there in the morning and while malgrat isn't a party place if you need silence to sleep I'd request a room at the back of the hotel. I must say though my sleep wasn't interrupted at all however a train line runs in front of the hotel so you'd be quieter at the back. The beach is a two minute walk from the hotel it really couldn't be more convenient and I noticed quite a few wheelchair users due to malgrat being a very flat village it seems perfect if you are a wheel chair user. The staff were wonderful, friendly and fabulous with the kids. We did queue a couple of times for dinner but all id say is pick your times by sitting at the bar enjoying a drink and watching the queue disperse! The food was very good quality with a great range to choose from, the chef was often to be seen out replenishing the dishes and ensuring everything was as it should be. Really Excellent value for money
