We stayed here 13 days in September. The hotel is not realy 4 star. Its a 3 star hotel. Reception ok,stuff nice. Rooms big, very. 2 big queen size beds, comfortable. Big balcony with table and 3 chairs. Wall tv,small fridge, big bathroom. Why not 4 star? Balcony not good architecture. Neighbours from room next to ours see in our room everything, there is only small glass bethween us. Fridge is not working if the card is not connected so if there is something in it its not cold. Not enough choice food for breakfirst ( cheap salami and cheese, eggs, pancakes). Animation team lack of interest. Evening show boring. Wi fi ok in the loby,in rooms very very slow. Parking was ok.
I went with my daughter and husband and my grandaughter and son in laws folks.we had a great time the hotel is a good four star in the costa brava ...not Greek four star but very good. The rooms are large and immaculate and the general facilities very good. The food in the restuarant is very good with lots of variety and despite one of our group being a bit fussy they all found the fod very good Spanish continental fair. No complaints. The internal pool is good for an hour or so and the entertainment was ok nothing too flash but ok . Ricardo and his team in the very organised restuarant do a really good job of keeping it all nice and clean. Yes sometimes the food was a bit cool but a good idea is to take hot food off near full trays and not near empty ones there are microwaves if neded....a great location opposite the local train and off to barcelona. Beach nearby is long but stony....would I go again for sure I loved its charm ...guess a bit busier in august though.
We stayed for a week all inclusive at the end of August. We enjoyed our stay; food in the restaurant was lovely; we ate out for dinner a few times but that is what we prefer to do. Staff very friendly especially at the pool bar! Drinks were ok; we weren't too keen on the spirits served at the all inclusive bar but I guess that's to be expected. Lovely clean hotel!
Stayed 10/9-16/9 Flew into Barcelona airport and caught the train to Santa susanna changing at Barcelona Sants took just under 2 hours and cost €4.90 for adult ticket Hotel straight across road from santa susanna station Check in was quick staff friendly and informative about hotel services room tax payable upon check in around €9 for us (2 adults ) We had room 342 on third floor near lift with a pool and partial sea view Room spotlessly clean 2 very comfortable queen size beds , flat screen TV on the wall small refrigerator, walk in shower and small balcony, safe avaliable for hire as are pool towels Food usual buffet style, no complaints every night I found plenty to eat they have to cater for many different nationalities so maybe not to everyone's liking breakfast was OK again good choice All inclusive seemed to be a bit of a rip off after talking to other guests about it, they had a all inclusive bar in the main lobby and a bar next to it for paying guests obviously the paying guests got the better quality drinks even down to the coffee most guests said it wasn't worth it Slight criticism on check out day the cleaning staff came 3 times to our room to ask us if we were ready to leave yet but it wasn't even 11 am which is the official check out time this was 10 am and we felt quite rushed in the end Other than that great stay fantastic location we would stay again
We booked into the Caprici Verd for a 10 night stay in mid August. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, check-in was quick and painless and all other dealings we had with the reception were positive. The room was lovely, a third floor Premier Room, two large double beds for 2 adults and 2 teens, fantastic bathroom and shower and a good sized balcony with table and chairs. The cleaners were very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them to change. Cleaning was 7 days a week. You also get bottled water, fresh fruit every day and a fridge in your room too! As an All Inclusive guest I think I got a bit of a rough deal. The beer at the Pool bar and lobby bar (Amstel) tasted nice and was always lovely and cold, however the spirits and wine were the cheapest available and tasted vile (Vodka and white rum especially) Also the coffee was out of a vending machine whereas the paying guests had theirs made by a Barista and a lovely modern coffee machine. The food in the restaurant was also a bit disappointing, the same menu every week, but they did a few Specials every evening. The traditional Spanish and Regional foods were lovely. Choice-wise, there was a Children's servery with typical kids food (Pasta, chips, nuggets, burgers) freshly cooked meats on the grill, a large cold meat and salad bar and desert Island. Breakfasts were OK, the crepes, Churros and chocolate sauce were huge favorites with the kids, freshly fried eggs and the usual hot breakfast items were in plentiful supply, plus there was fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals if you fancied something light. The restaurant bar served bottles of wine or water with your meal. The staff were very busy and very friendly and helpful also. You couldn't fault the way the place was run. It was extremely efficient and always very clean. The place is let down by the swimming pools (Main, Jacuzzi and Baby) and their cleanliness. During our last 3 days I refused to swim in any of them after discovering several Pool jellyfish, large clumps of matted hair, lurking on the bottom. Don't get me wrong here, the sun beds and floor around the pool are clean apart from the odd early morning stash of glasses left over from the previous evening and the dirty ashtrays, which did get cleared away once the pool guard arrived and did his rounds, apart from cleaning the pool! The one job he was good at was clearing towels off the beds. They don't let you reserve them unless one of your group is there, which means that you don't have the usual 8 beds with towels left empty for hours. This meant that there were always plenty available. The pool snack bar and staff were good fun and worked hard. Snacks were available after 3 pm until 7 pm. These were again the cheapest that money could buy, burgers, hot dogs and toasted sandwiches. That said, all the bar staff were hard working and great to chat to. The entertainment team did morning Aquarobics, pool games and bingo every lunchtime and afternoon. For youngsters and teens it was disappointing, there wasn't much for them at all. Evening entertainment wasn't much better, and compared to the neighboring hotels it was non league compared to Premier league. It wasn't very good apart from the DJ who plays once a week from 5 pm until midnight. One thing I will add is that the noise stops at 12 midnight prompt. If you want to go clubbing you can head off to the strip until daybreak. I wouldn't go back to the Caprici due to the poor all inclusive food and drink. It wasn't worth the money we paid. What I would say is that the hotel itself, staff and rooms are excellent. I'm a Risk Assessor and I couldn't find any obvious faults in anything inside the hotel. If there was a spill it was cleaned up, everything smelt and looked clean. If the food, drink and pool hygiene improved it would make this hotel very popular indeed.
Just returned from a lovely trip to Catalonia with Newmarket holidays and this Hotel was our base for 5 nights. I have absolutely NO complaints at all-spotlessly clean, large bedrooms, beautiful lounge, helpful receptionists and above all an excellent buffet dinner each night with tons of variety and different things on the buffet each night too ! Would highly recommend this Hotel
Upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who explained clearly where amenities were situated. We also received a discount voucher for the frozen yoghurt stand outside the hotel. A thing to be careful of which was at no fault of the hotel is we booked the hotel on booking.com in July for the price of £490 for a standard room, yet when we had to pay for the hotel at reception the price had risen to £525. When I took a closer look at my details I then noticed the £490 was an 'approximate' price and could rise due to the current exchange rate, again NO fault of the hotel - just thought it was something for people to be wary of. Once we got to the room it was clean, however there was a small stain on one of the bedsheets. Another issue with the room would be that the balcony doors were not as secure as we thought. Although the right-hand sliding door would lock, the left-hand side which seemed to be fixed in place was not and could be pried open easily and would move as freely as the other door. As we were on the top floor (roof) the balconies had low side rails connecting to neighbouring balconies, which meant people could easily climb over and open that door, which obviously is not something you'd like to be worrying about whilst on holiday and would recommend getting a safe which costs 22€ and you can receive 10€ back. Despite this, the view from the balcony was excellent. For our holiday we chose full board so were expecting drinks to be included at meal times (like other hotels we had visited) yet this was not the case, excluding breakfast where juice, tea and coffee etc was free. We sat down at our table and was greeted by a very friendly waiter who then asked us what we'd like to drink and it's a good job we had cash on us as we did not see this explained anywhere beforehand. Drinks were reasonably priced but still not expected, another issue would be that sometimes it was hard to get the attention of waiters in the restaurant if a second drink was wanted, as it was very busy with few members of staff serving drinks. The food choices each meal time were varied but never drastically. For example there were plenty of seafood options with it generally being different types of plain fish/fish in sauce each night. Also pizza, chips, pasta and meat were served every lunch and dinner time, but only these would vary slightly too. Breakfast was very repetitive - as expected - with the standard items being served e.g. Continental & Cooked options, you could also have Cava with your breakfast too and fresh fruit was always an option at every meal time. Friday night also had a chocolate fountain, which was a nice touch. The bar staff (by the pool and entertainment) were very friendly and you could always get their attention as it was well staffed and again drinks were reasonably priced. All inclusive guests still had to pay for most drinks and snacks with a bit of discount, yet drinks that were on tap such as soft drinks & local beer were free. All inclusive guests also had the option to use their own bar/snack bar which was off limits to any other guests, yet there was a snack bar by the pool for all guests to use called Platform 1 which had reasonably priced food & drinks. The pool outside was very large but my only issue with it is that it needed a good clean on the bottom of the pool as I often found myself standing on debris. There was also an indoor pool but you do have to wear swimming caps due to regulations which was understandable but could've been stated beforehand as there was only one small sign on the entrance which we missed. You can also purchase the swimming caps at reception for 2€, this pool was also lovely, warm and clean. The hotel did also have a gym/sauna, I will say though if you are wanting to use the gym, the machines are tired and none of the electronics work on them which only leaves you with the option to do weights, use the wall bars or do exercises using the mats (provided) and you also had to pay to use the sauna. Other amenities to the hotel included an arcade, 3 pool tables and there was also a computer area above the dining hall. The daily entertainment was also of a good variety including a parrot show that me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed, they had activities running all through the day including mini golf and bingo etc, they also had entertainment strictly for children which was the mini disco in the nights. Overall I think this hotel is very family friendly and also suitable for couples, with the food being to a good standard. It is also in a lovely area right next to the beach and train station, with lots of souvenir shops, bike rental places and a few small carnivals around. There was also a small shopping centre which included a large supermarket (Carrefour) just over a 10 minute walk away.
Me and my friend stayed in this hotel for a week. We were very impressed when we arrived, it is modern, staff are friendly and very clean. Our room was huge and cleaned everyday, the balcony was a decent size with a decent view. The food was pretty much the same every day, there is a variety but it does get boring towards the end. If you go half board, you can swap lunch for dinner and vice verse but must pay for your drinks at the table. I would have been very disappointed if I stayed all inclusive, as the only drinks you get free are soda and beer, all the other drinks like coffee and cocktails are charged. Luckily, we were half board so wasn't too disappointed. The train station is literally outside the hotel charging €10 for a return trip to Barcelona that took an hour long on the coast. The neighbouring towns have more life and are only a short walk away. The beach is quite complicated to get to but once figured out it is only a short distance away. Great hotel and very clean.
Hi we just returned from 5 day break, the hotel itself is very clean rooms also only let down was we didn't get pool view but as we wasn't in room long enough wasn't to bad a negative. We have stayed in many 4 star hotels previously I don't quite think this is a 4 star but nevertheless it's still A lovely hotel, the pool could be a bit bigger as for the leaving towels unattended for more than 20mins towels will be removed we didn't see any evidence of that at all was quite a struggle finding a sunbed everyday not enough for amount of guest staying. The resort itself isn't as lively as previous destinations we visited over the years we walked for about 20mins along the prom (Turning left coming out hotel) found it lacked choice of eating places maybe it's much further down the strip ? Most of shops are very repetitive. The food served at hotel was varied fresh choice and always hot no one went without or to Fussy. One only criticism I would add is the receptionists could smile and offer bit better customer service only one who happy and smiley was the English guy not being biased. So if you want quick break get away from uk to hot sun I would recommend it but we found 5 days plenty. Simon.
We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Caprici Verd. My 11 year old son wanted to live there. We all had a relaxing time. It is a short walk to the train station and to the beach. My father in law has a restricted range for walking and the hotel arranged a wheelchair so he could travel and enjoy Barcelona. He is also diabetic and opened the restaurant early on our journey home so he could have breakfast before our pickup.
