I have to say that I write this review with a very mixed view. It was a holiday that we had looked forward to all year. We visited Caprici Verd Hotel from the 15th until the 25th August. It was the first time that we had visited Spain in over 10 years. My family and I (husband and two children aged 10 & 13) arrived via private transfer with ZipCars which were amazing at lunchtime. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist who checked us in swiftly and gave us the option to have either lunch on arrival or breakfast on our check-out day, we were staying on a full-board basis. We choose lunch seems we had been travelling since the early morning and the kids were hungry. The food was lovely and there was lots of choice. Every mealtime there was something that all 4 of us were happy with. The food is never roasting hot but warm enough to enjoy. The restaurant staff were generally friendly. It is possible to purchase drinks within the restaurant. We generally went with soft drinks. It wasn't until towards the end of the holiday that we discovered that if you had wine with lunch but didn't finish it you could have it saved for the evening meal by having your name put on the bottle. It seemed that the Spanish guests knew about this. We were never told about this service. If we had then maybe it would have been an option for us on occasions. After, our first lunch we decided to visit the pool. As it was late in the day there were no beds available so we decided to sit by the pool on a couple of chairs which we didn't mind. The kids were keen to get in the pool. Whilst my husband went inside the hotel, i sat on the edge of the pool, keeping an eye on the children. My husband returned several minutes later to discover that our bag had been stolen. I was sat only metres from it but someone had made off with our bag. Not one of the Spanish people sitting nearby had seen anything. We went to speak with the manager. He was not interested. He shrugged his shoulders and said it happens all the time especially on market days. He really couldnt careless and surely if this happens often then maybe guests should be pre-warned. I have visited many places around the world including large cities and never have i had something stolen.We asked where was the nearest Police station was so we could report the crime. The manager advised that it was at the next town and will cost at least €30 each way. This is not true. The taxi fare to the next town is €5 each way and there is a small police station in Santa susanna towards the back of the town. Had the manager given us the correct information on the day we would have reported the crime at the time we thought that a €60 taxi fare and a loss of a day wasn't worth it. We believe that the manager misled us to ensure we didn't report the crime. The pool area is lovely. However both of our children became very ill within 4 days with serious ear infections. A doctor advised us that the infections had been caused by dirty pool water. We realised that all the time we were there we never saw the pool being cleaned. The area around the pool was but not the pool water. We did visit the beach but the sea had a jellyfish infestation so we couldn't swim in the sea. The beach is quiet and no beds at the Caprici Verd end of beach. The sand is of cat litter consistency but clean. The positives of the hotel: lovely modern rooms if you book a premium room. The food was good and the staff were always friendly. A variety of entertainment but if is mainly in Catalan. The drinks were weak even at the paying bar (we were full board rather than all inclusive). Santa susanna is a clean resort with a selection of bars. It has an efficient train service to Barcelona and the station is opposite the hotel but no noise from the trains can be heard from the hotel. The town and beach is seperated by the train line, this does mean you can't see the beach when walking through Santa Susanna so it can be easy to forget that you are at the coast. Would I visit Santa Susanna again, probably not, there are nicer parts of Spain to visit. Would I stay at the Caprici Verd again. Definitely NOT. Despite some of the positives I'm afraid the theft and the lack of interest by the hotel manager has unfortunately made us reach this decision, along with the dirty pool water which made our children ill right up until we left and including when we got home.

The resort is beautiful,and on great location.the beach is 2-3 minutes walk,and there are lots of shops very close by.the bar staff on the pool all inclusive bar were amazing,so friendly,nice and professional.we were looked after so well on that bar during the day.Julian and Hakembee were the best,thanks guys for making us feeling so welcomed.on the evening bar,the staff,not so much.and i also found the reception staff very rude and unprofessional,apart from Clara.she was very nice and friendly,thank you Clara,but non of the others.me and my niece went out one evening locally and when we came back,our key card wasn't working.they handled the whole situation very unprofessionally.we had to wait outside for about two hours.they didn't even offer water,as the bar was closed(we were all inclusive). And the woman at the reception was unbelievably rude.awful!no reception skills at all.And another negative thing, after check out,they wont let you have any food or drinks,even if u have to hung out for a while because your flight is much later,which has never happened to me before,and i have been in soo many all inclusive resorts.

We just spent 4 days for a birthday holiday at this hotel. the main reasons. were the price and included extras lie free parking and Wifi . We paid 260 euros for 4 days half board for two which was very good value and we had a sea facing room with a lovely balcony. Its buffet meals down stairs in a separate area as normal good and not so good but lots and lots of choices so no problems . The market on the Tuesdays is right in front of the hotel and along the prom lots of fun and good bargains. Our only problem with the two double beds we had in the room were they were rather hard for us as were the pillows.

This was our second visit to the Caprici Verd and our 4th to Santa Susanna. We love both. As normal I contacted the hotel before our visit in early September and stated our preferences, originally based on the recommendations of others reviewing the hotel on Trip Advisor. When we got there, we had been upgraded to a Premium room, and given the same room as last time, 2 years ago. I don't think this was a coincidence, as Patrick greeted me by name, which I found amazing as it was all that time ago we visited. However he did it, that is phenomenal customer service. Everything was excellent as before with some added improvements. The one we really appreciated as we arrived in the early hours was a kettle with complimentary tea & coffee. Never seen that before in this resort. A week was not long enough so we have booked 2 weeks in June 2018. Can't wait!

My partner and I stayed here for a week all inclusive in September. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size with a large balcony and a nice bathroom with a decent shower. We had English channels on the T. V. Free WIFI, a fridge and air conditioning. Food was good with lots of choice, Cava with breakfast if you wished, Plenty of fresh fruit at every meal. Pool area is a good size with plenty of sun beds and seating area. There is also an indoor pool, jacuzzi and gym if the weather not too good. Evening entertainment was not bad. There is a separate bar for all inclusive guests, but drinks are served in proper glasses not plastic. Brilliant location. Across the road from the beach and the train station. All I all we had a great week and would stay here again.

First the positives - The hotel is clean & spacious; rooms are quite large; very good shower; beds ok; pool area clean. However the food was poor quality - cheap catering - even the orange juice was powdered & bacon was processed meat ! The restaurant is very noisy, especially when the French Boules teams arrive :( , we ate out in the evening even though we were half board couldn't face it twice in one day...... The entertainment was very loud especially as we were in a room above on the first floor. We wouldn't return here i'm afraid, agree with Omar O definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Stayed here on a Newmarket holiday. Would be too noisy for me in the height of summer with lots of families staying, but at end of September was very quiet with not many people using sun beds or the pool, also entertainment finished by midnight and was not noisy and would not keep you awake. Rooms were nice, but the dining room was very noisy which spoilt enjoying your meals, however there was a good choice of food. Hotel nicely situated for the station, although you can't hear the trains, and also on the edge of town so quiet but not far from shops, bars and restaurants. There were many Spanish and French staying there.

First of all, can I just say that Santa Susanna is a lovely area, quiet and pleasant however this Hotel is not a 4 Star in any way shape or form. This hotel is a 2, at best 3 stars with barking dogs and horrible food. We chose to stay at this hotel because of its good reviews here (which seem ok, although I am dubious) but we certainly won't be back or be recommending this hotel to family or friends. ROOM - The standard rooms I must say are awful. From the moment, we checked in (which by the way, I had to spend in total almost 50 euros on fees alone, taxes, deposit for key cards, beach towels) we were unhappy with the room. The decor is awful, colour scheme horrendous, the beds are rock hard, no iron, safe is not free and the air con is just not powerful enough. It takes hours for the room to get cold. I went downstairs to ask for a free upgrade to a premium room as we were unhappy, tried to charge me which i was unhappy about. I have been to a lot of hotels where they had premium rooms available and on occasions, a free upgrade to these rooms would be given as part of the overall high-grade customer service experience. The only positive thing I can say about the room is the shower which is quite powerful, but besides that, a 2-star room at best FOOD AND DRINK - We had the all-inclusive package for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Everyday there was a wide variety of food BUT beware, it doesn't taste as good as it may look. We did not have one decent meal that we all enjoyed throughout the 7 days we stayed there. It also just seemed like we were eating the same food every day. Because the quality of the food just wasn't good enough, we were bored of their food after day 3 hoping that the following day would be better. Hot dogs, Burgers, Pizza every day, chips. The eggs for breakfast were awful. Powdered, tasteless and low quality. Why can't you get your chefs to make real scrambled egg for your guests considering you claim to be a 4-star hotel? Where is the Paella? I came to Spain to eat Spanish food. Where was it? Why do you have a card system to log our dinners? Again, how can you claim to be 4 Star when initiating stupid processes like carrying your food card everywhere. Something else to point out that was so frustrating was the segregation between paying and nonpaying guests. Why do nonpaying guests have to get up to get a drink every time while the paying guests comfortably sit down and wait to be served their drinks? Ridiculous and I must say, it’s the most uncomfortable experience I have come across in a hotel when being fully inclusive. Why do your Barmen count and write down every drink that I might request? Its all-inclusive so why are you counting my drinks blatantly in front of me? My family and I are the ones who should be treated like 5 star guests when we’re staying at your hotel, not your paying guests. Unfortunately, I have no positives to mention about the food and drink. ENTERTAINMENT - What can I say, there is none worth attending. Every night we ended up going to bed by 10pm because it was so boring. Just nothing to do in the venue. They have a crappy games room where half of the machines are broken (My daughter did not like that very much), the community area has unsociable people just sitting down, not doing much and the music outside is boring was not worth dancing too. Again, I have no positives to mention here unless you see playing checkers or dancing to 80’s music exciting. SUMMARY – Overall, I have given this Hotel 2 out of 5 stars. There are just too many negatives with this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel however; the area is nice and the beach is OK. This hotel needs a massive refurbishment and a change to policies and procedures. A fresh look to what you serve for food should also be looked at as none of it was tasty and worth going back to.

We returned to Liverpool from Santa Susanna on Wed 20th Sep after 5 nights in Caprici Verd. Our stay incorporated trips to: (1) Barcelona, (2) the Pyrenees plus Villefranche & Perpignan in France, (3) Girona and (4) Montserrat monastery. Very memorable! The Newmarket Holidays Tour Manager Maureen was very friendly and organised. She was ably assisted by Natalya on a couple of days. Our room had two large single beds and was very comfortable, decently equipped and cleaned daily. Unfortunately there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room but it did have a balcony. The staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfasts were adequate but the evening meals, especially the final 2, were extremely disappointing. This alone knocks 1 star off its 4 star billing! Santa Susanna hasn't become as tacky as many other nearby coastal towns which was a blessing. The beach is gravelly but clean. The train station is opposite the back of the hotel where the hotel's shop and snack bar can be found together with the railway ticket office and the station's entrance facility. An ATM is opposite the snack bar which was very convenient.

We stayed here 13 days in September. The hotel is not realy 4 star. Its a 3 star hotel. Reception ok,stuff nice. Rooms big,very. 2 big queen size beds,comfortable. Big balcony with table and 3 chairs. Wall tv,small fridge,big bathroom. Why not 4 star? Balcony not good architecture. Neighbours from room next to ours see in our room everything,there is only small glass bethween us. Fridge is not working if the card is not connected so if there is something in it its not cold. Not enough choice food for breakfirst ( cheap salami and cheese,eggs,pancakes). Animation team lack of interest. Evening show boring. Wi fi ok in the loby,in rooms very very slow. Parking was ok.
