This was the second visit to the hotel. And was very pleased to see the standard was just as high as our previous visit..Staff,facilities,food and drink are very good. We were a family of eleven with 5 children. It was the last week of the season so not all the facilities in the local area were open. But there was enough to ensure a good family holiday.Although the hotel was pretty full we never found a problem of having to queue for drinks, Spacious restaurant. We had to keep moving around the pool to keep in the sun......After all it was October. And that honestly was the only concern. This is a hotel I highly recommend. And will be going again. Thank you all att the hotel

Stayed here in October for 10 nights the hotel is well situated right on the beach and close to center it is spotless clean through out and majority of staff happy cheerful and friendly, our room was serviced every day to a high standard we went AI which allowed us to pop into any other Htop hotel and use AI drinks and you can prebook a meal at one of the hotels in different resorts. My only one very small gripe is if you go to the bar even inside you are served your drink in a small plastics type beaker however if you do ask for a glass they will oblige.

My wife and I stopped here 5 years ago and when we went back in October 2017 it was exactly the same as we left it. It true it could due with a revamp but it is still a lovely hotel with a great position on the beach. The food was good we always found something to eat but it was a bit cool which was fine for us. All the staff were very helpful and couldn't due enough help all in all it was a brilliant holiday oh and don't forget the medieval night it was a great night out

Six of us were enjoying our selves until we found out that bar staff are instructed by management to keep refilling your glass without washing it. Now how disgusting is that. There Fingerprints, are all over it, they brought out a card system for the all inclusive guests, and when you go to bar you must produce your empty glass and they refill it! The manager told me that the client must ask for a clean glass If they want one! Disgraceful, if you with kids and they have cola, you have vodka n cola, how does the bar staff know which tumbler belongs to whom. DONT GO ALL INCLUSIVE UNLESS YOU WANT CONTAMINATED GLASSES with your drink..I actually recommended this hotel in July....but wasn't aware of this filthy practice...

We have been at this hotel for several years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. We had a problem with Alpharooms reference but a quick phone call to reception and that was sorted. Arrived at Girona on time by Ryanair and were met by a local taxi we have used for years.(Number available on request) Didn't get to hotel until 0100 and the security guard even helped with our luggage but were checked in within minutes and given adjoining rooms for our party of three. When we got to our rooms there was food, water & drinks for us. From day one it was like being at home(without the cooking and cleaning). The best thing about this hotel is the staff. If you are good to them they are good to you ! It is amazing what reaction you get for a bar of chocolate. They treat you exactly how you treat them. For those who complain about staff attitude - take a long hard look in the mirror!!! Rooms are cleaned every day to a good standard with fresh towels and toiletries - beds made and floors cleaned. A great big thank you to all the staff and especially the restaurant for mamas guift - it will take six months to fit in to her dresses again!!!! Thank you Danny and all your wonderful and loyal staff from your most devoted customers but more friends/family. See you in springtime. All our love. Alistair, Helen, Mary xxxx

After reading all the mixed reviews, we were dreading staying here, but were quietly surprised. First impressions upon arriving were that the location was excellent and the hotel was clean and well maintained. The reception staff were polite and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they would go out of their way to help you in any way that they could. The cleaners kept the hotel and rooms clean, working really hard. The hotel room, although basic, was clean though the bath looked like it had spilt paint in it which was a shame as this let it down. Our room had a side view of the sea, which was great to look out at when sitting on the balcony. The room had a free mini fridge in it to keep any drinks chilled and the safe was €28 plus €10 returnable deposit per week to hire. The food had a lot to be desired, and was never hot. You had to use the microwave if you wanted hot food. The choice wasnt very good either and only had a handful of "hot" items per day which weren't very nice. We found one member of staff there quite rude and abrupt as if he didn't want to be working there at all. We ended up eating out most of the time even though we were all inclusive. The bar staff in the hotel and on the beach front were brilliant and friendly. The only thing that I found at fault were the silly plastic glasses drinks were served in and the fact that anyone who was all inclusive were not allowed to sit on the decking area on the beach as this was for "paying customers" only. We found that if you asked for your drink to be put in a proper glass instead of the plastic ones then they would do this. They have a key card system instead of the all inclusive wrist band which was really simple to use and a good idea as it meant that the bar area wasn't left with empty glasses. You handed in your drink card to get a drink and was given it back upon returning your empty glass. This hotel is situated on the beach front and is not far from the train station, which is ideal for trips to Barcelona, although the hotel do their own trips to places of interest.

We have stayed in Santa Susanna, Calella and Malgrat de Mar numerous times. The hotel rates highly mostly because of its fantastic location- right on the beach !! Food was as you expect - a good variety - usual stuff. The room was a nice size - cleaned daily. Staff was a mixed bag- some of the bar staff fantastic and some appallingly rude. The man doing the childrens club and disco was very good!! The entertainment was good.

Still the best value for money in Santa Susanna. Staff superb. Food good, varied and plentiful. Room and linen clean. All the standards that I expect from this hotel are maintained from arrival to departure. Forget the nit-pickers and professional moaners. You will reallyenjoy your stay. We have holidayed at this Hotel on many occasions. This time we were greeted with a bowl of fruit and a ice bucket with Cava. A most thoughtful gesture: typical of The Royal Sun leonidas99

Having booked a H Top Secret Hotel we were told we were booked in the H Top Sun Suites two days before flying. After the transfer from Hell from Barcelona we were dumped on the street and sent in the wrong direction at 130am ..... cue practising my bad Spanish and asking a rather drunken night club goer where the hotel actually was ...... Turning round and heading back the way we came we arrived at the Royal Sun and asked for directions - best move ever! Sun Suites was closed but we had a room there .... At 230am it was good enough for us and the receptionist was fantastic dealing with 2 slightly arsey travellers! Rooms are basic but clean (and cleaned every day), water is hot and the doors lock - what more do you want from a holiday hotel room? Sea view? Check .... The only downside was the size of the key fob for the old school room key! Big bag or deep and wide short pockets required!!! It is massive - but you will never lose it! Food was OK - typical Spanglish all inclusive mix - as long as you like fish, chicken or pork - you'll be fine! It got better as the week went on but there was a massive influx of paying Spanish guests and the selection and quality of food went up accordingly (no complaints here), What seems to the biggest bugbear is the card system for all inclusive and strict 2 drink rule - get over it! We didn't have an issue all week with it and it worked well - no tables swimming in glasses and a clean glass everytime. We had a brilliant time - if you want a hotel ON the beach in Spain, this is the one for you.

We stayed here in april, can't complain about .the food and service were excellent....the staff polite and helpful. The room was spotless and yes the decor was a bit dated, but nothing that would put me off. We didn't get a good sea view , which is a shame.....but maybe next time.....booked up for april 2018 already....really enjoyed our stay.
