Patio with garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply from a spring.. This attractive detached cottage sits at the entrance of the estate and is spacious and thoughtfully furnished. Step through the front door into the cosy living room boasting comfortable sofas, wood fired stove and Smart TV. From the living room, wander through to the dining room with dining table and traditional Welsh dresser. To the rear of the cottage, you will find the modern and well-equipped kitchen with electric hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. This bright and airy room leads to the rear of the property with seating area, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee whilst taking in this area of outstanding natural beauty.



The property boasts spectacular views across the Dee valley, with the river itself coursing through the fields below the house and nestling in the magnificent backdrop of the woods and moorland mountains above. Guests of the Lodge may indeed like to take a gentle stroll alongside the river or even venture into the hills above, as our guests. When it is time to rest, head upstairs, the large double bedroom with comfortable super kingsize bed, quality bedding and spectacular views across the fields and countryside. Finally, the large bathroom with a free-standing roll top bath and walk-in shower means you can decide whether to shower and go, or enjoy a longer soak in the tub.

We had a thoroughly relaxing weekend at the Crogen gatehouse lodge.

We had a thoroughly relaxing weekend at the Crogen gatehouse lodge. It was a perfect cottage - more spacious than we imagined- and with everything we needed. Super comfortable bed, lovely sofas, powerful shower and a clean modern kitchen. Lovely walks and drives around the area. Sarah, although we didn’t meet her, was helpful and welcoming by phone. A lovely welcome pack provided too. There is no enclosed garden for a dog- but we were aware of this and it was fine for us- as there was space for our dog to have a wander on the grass alongside the estate drive - and in the adjacent field.We would definitely return.
