Aled was very repsonsive to messages and gave us lots of good tips of places to visit, and how to get there too. House was very warm (we were there in October) and really well equipt kitchen with sharp cooking knives (usually blunt in rentals so this was a bonus), and lovely bedding. Slept very well.

Lovely, well maintained and comfortable property in a quiet village giving us the full “country” experience. Relaxing in the hot tub on mornings and evenings with views of the valley was amazing. Good quality beds and bedding in all rooms made for a relaxing visit with everyone in the family enjoying a good nights sleep each night. Good pubs and food available in nearby villages within short (20 min) drives. Lots of interesting places to visit in local area. Would visit again in the future.

Beautiful countryside stay with great amenities We had a lovely family stay at this farmhouse-style holiday home. The views from the property are amazing – lots of greenery all around, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The garden area is spacious and perfect for kids to run around. Parking was easy, and there’s just a short 1-minute drive from a small road to the main road which made it super convenient. One of our favourite spots was the conservatory – sipping coffee there in the morning with the view was just perfect. There's also a grill area which is great for BBQ nights, and overall the place felt very family-friendly with lots of space indoors and outside.Only thing to note is that the cleanliness could be better – we did notice some bugs and spiders, which is probably normal for countryside farm-style homes, but it can be a bit scary for little kids. If cleanliness is improved, this place would easily be a 5-star stay. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He explained everything clearly when we arrived and checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Even his dog Daisy was really friendly and added a warm, homely feeling to the whole stay. It really made the experience feel personal and pleasant.Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful countryside break with great views and family-friendly vibes. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

A lovely property, with brilliant views across the fields. Good communication, well equipped and lovely welcome basket. Hot tub a lovely extra, making it a wonderful stay. No pubs in walking distance, as the closest one mentioned has closed down. Has been closed for at least a couple years.

Exceeded Our Expectations!
Our stay at this property was truly amazing—far beyond what we had anticipated. The space was abundant, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The garden was absolutely beautiful, providing a serene and picturesque setting throughout our visit. And of course, the highlight was the jacuzzi, which added that extra touch of luxury to our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be happy to come back in the future!
Thank you so much.

Beautiful views
If countryside views are your thing then this is the place for you. Uninterrupted views across the valley showing off the best Wales has to offer.
The accommodation itself is of good standard with a good kitchen and utility, and a spacious conservatory to enjoy the views over breakfast or dinner, (only negatives are; the 2nd shower room is very small, no King beds, bbq is old and small).
The owner Aled is as friendly and helpful as possible without being at all intrusive, a perfect host.
He rebuilt this old cottage himself and much love has gone into it. It’s remote but the local shop with essentials is only a 10 min walk away and Aled is only a phone call away if you have questions.
If quietness and views are what you seek I can highly recommend this place and Aled as a host.

A beautiful house
Such a beautiful place to stay with stunning views, surrounded by wildlife. The house is superb and Aled is such a wonderful host, even going to the trouble of swapping his hot tub as ours broke before we arrived!
Plenty of places to visit nearby, Bala is an excellent place to spend some time.
We would definitely book this house again.

Gorgeous holiday let in beautiful surroundings
The house was perfect, exactly as shown and the location was beautiful. We have a nervous dog and stayed here with my husbands parents and brother, the house was perfect, a bedroom downstairs and a lovely sitting room where our dog could sit with us without being in the middle of everyone. Had loads of lovely walks n went to a local restaurant which was delicious. Hot tub also a bonus.
Met Al who provided lots of walks for us to try, very friendly.
Would definitely recommend.

Excellent little corner of paradise
Myself and 6 friends (& our dog) rented this cottage for a weekend of gaming together. It's in a super quiet location with unbelievable views. The local village down the road is a lovely sunny walk, and you can get a supermarket delivery for your food shopping. The welcome basket was a nice tough, & the hot tub is the icing on the cake! We had a brilliant time and will deffo book again in the future. Thankyou so much for giving us the perfect spot for our mini holiday!

Unclean
We arrived and the place was not clean. The bedding was stained. The pillows felt like they were 10 years old. The hot tub did not work properly and the children went in only to find glass in there. We didn’t even stay the night went straight home.

Tyn y Ffridd Getaway
Tyn y Ffridd was just as described on the website. It provided a comfortable, rural getaway for our group of friends. There were a couple of minor issues, such as a temperamental kettle, slightly uninviting outdoor furniture cushions and a lack of hot water at one point, but overall we had a fantastic stay. The hot tub was great and the large conservatory, with its big dining table and stunning views, gave us a wonderful, communal dining area. I'd definitely recommend it!

Relaxing Holiday Cottage
We had an amazing week stay at the cottage with friends and family. The cottage was lovely and in a quite location surrounded by nothing but hills and wildlife.
Just a point to note for other guests, bring an extra over tray or two and pair of scissors as these are missing from the kitchen. Also bring with you some dishwasher tablets, as although stated as been available there were none available.
If you plan to have a fire, make sure you bring with you some kindle, fire lights and a ligher to start it, as there were also not available on site either.
Other than that, the cottage has everything you need and it was a truly amazing holiday. The HotTub was a great extra to end the day and relax!
Thank you for a great holiday in Wales.

We have just arrived back from a long weekend stay. We were a party of 8 and two dogs. Everybody had a great time . Cottage is wonderful all you need. Hot tub is great. The owners are really helpful if you need them. The location is beautiful such that if you wish to remain local you can but you are also close enough to major roads to get further afield easily. We all didn't want to leave.
