This property is an agrotourism site, so one should not visit it expecting modern conveniences. The tap water is not potable, there is no heating in the home (just a fireplace), and no oven in the kitchen (just a range). Reaching the site requires an off road vehicle at all times. With that in mind,Positives: - The location is unbeatable. You are immersed in a green, mossy cork oak forest with mountain views in all directions. The night starry and the only noise is the occasional herd of goats in the distance. - The owners are excellent hosts: responsive, accommodating, and very helpful.Negatives: - The listing on the VRBO site is not accurate. The description should clearly state the situation with drinking water, heating, kitchen appliances, and accessibility. - While there are no guests at the property, the owners use the large, enclosed yard in front of the house to pasture their horse. Consequently, there are dropping all over the yard. For us, that made the yard much less enjoyable because we had to supervise our 1.5 year old while he roamed. - There are multiple touch ups that would markedly improve the guest experience. For example, it was difficult to shower because all the shower heads were either clogged or missing a wall mount; there are about 20 spoons, but only 4 or 5 knives; there is an immersion blender, but no microwave or water heater. These are easy fixes.
