The Hotel is located right on the beach but it is a small beach. The location is fabulous, right near the harbor. The grounds are beautifully manicured. But the hotel itself is not at level with it’s surroundings, especially the rooms that are very basic and unappealing.."

After many days traveling non stop and visiting all the beaches around between Sardegna and Corsica , we need it some time in a hotel to regroup and chill out and finally we found this very nice place. Great breakfast , great wifi connection in the front of the lobby/restaurant and beach and friendly service. The room we received was nice with a little garden, all working properly but a bit small. We not spending much time in anyway so it was ok for us. Overall we will be back if again in Porto Vecchio.

My first trip to Corsica, I booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Location allows you to walk to the marina and take the small train to the hilltop city. We chose other restaurant options than the hotel but paying for breakfast is worth it and drinks on the front lawn are highly recommended. No pool but small beach was enough for us, private patio or balcony is also worth it. We will return.

Beautiful location excellent food and very good service made us return after a wonderful lunch for dinner but sadly we were plagued by mosquitoes and received so many bites that unfortunately we had to abandon dessert and not even have coffee . Strangely the hotel had mosquito repellent spray on hand so I'm imagining it's not an uncommon complaint so if you want my advice yes lunch was wonderful and they're fixed price €29 lunch was superb but the evening was a bust with the tiger mosquito the star of the show.

We visited for evening dinner and it was perfect. We had pre drinks in their garden which lay beside the bay in Porto-Vecchio. It was a beautiful view, and the staff very attentive. We then went inside for dinner and were not let down. The food was delicious, although portions slightly small, but would still highly recommend if visiting Porto-Vecchio. It's a much quieter retreat than the main old town which is way too busy. Make sure to book in advance.

We spent a week relaxing at this beautiful spot. The location is perfect, not only because of the view, but it is also situated so that it receives the sea breezes, keeping it very pleasant even when other areas nearby are too hot. The service is very attentive. Excellent breakfast buffet. The food in the restaurant is good. The rooms are small but adequate.

Hotel Le Goeland, exceeded our expectations! My husband and I are not the type to lounge while on vacation, we are always on the go and have busy itineraries of places to go and things to do. However, this hotel is so serene and idyllic that upon arrival we decided to take a quick breather and sit in the chairs of their pristine green lawn, and we were hooked!!! We spent 5 hours just lounging, talking, having cocktails and napping out on the lawn. We loved it so much we made it a part of our daily afternoon routine to sit in the chairs and relax - and reminded ourselves we don't always have to be on the go. The fresh breezes and the great cocktails also made this location so dreamy and ideal. The staff was warm and helpful and recommended great activities to do around town. We loved it so much it's on our list of places we have to return to. We also stayed at a 5 star hotel on the island and we both agreed, we liked this place best, due to the people, the location, casualness of the environment... and it wasn't fussy - which we both loved.

In a lovely location with a small beach and a lawn running down to the sea this is a really delightful hotel. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight but dinner was rather variable. On some nights the cooking and service were excellent but on others it was frankly poor.

We stayed here for three nights after walking the GR20 for fourteen days. It was a wonderful choice for us for many reasons. First, we did not have a car, so moving around meant either by very expensive and rare taxi or by public transportation. We choose the latter, which is why we decided to stay central and not on one of the beaches in the south. The hotel is very pleasant and airy and beautifully located on the beach side of the marina. It is a 20-minute (uphill) walk to the old town of Porto Vecchio with it's fantastic bars and restaurants, and a 20-30 minute bus ride to the turn off to Plage Guilia. The room was amazing, beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed, and had great amenities and high-quality towels and linens. Our terrace was huge with wonderful views of the bay. Breakfast was an incredible buffet, and you wished for nothing else (and if you did you could order it). It definitely catered to those who enjoy more than a croissant with a bowl of coffee in the morning. Everything was fresh, great local cheese and pastries, fruit, cereals and hot dishes. We had dinner here one night and it was superb although it's a bit on the expensive side if you choose to eat a la carte instead of choosing the menu. If you are looking for a beach hotel, this is not it. The hotel has a wonderful garden and a little beach to chill on but it is not comparable to the amazing beaches further south, and the water is of course marina water. We did not stay here for the beach, so we were not disappointed, but it is best to do your homework if beach bumming and swimming is what you are after. The staff was very nice if somewhat "dry". Often we were unsure if they liked us or thought we were a bit of a nuisance (especially when we arrived with our backpacks and hiking boots). But I would chalk it up to Corsican character and give them the benefit of the doubt. All in all a very relaxing way to come down after 14 days of hiking and camping (and hiking and camping food). I would definitely do it again!

The stay here was incredible on our honeymoon! 100% recommend it!!! They gave us an incredible room with a view of the private harbour and beach and the breakfast was amazing! They also gave us a glass of bubbles as we just got married! All the staff were so friendly and and lovey and helpful! We can't wait to come back and thank you again for making our honeymoon so special!! Emily and Chris humphrey xxx
