Lighthouse Inn At Aransas Bay

Exterior of the Hotel is beautiful, interior of the hotel is dark and dated. The restaurant furniture is old, dirty and uncomfortable. Room was a good size but all of the furniture was old, worn out and uncomfortable. Our poolside view from the patio balcony was blocked by two huge palm trees. Bathroom towels were old and scratchy, broken soap dish. Our first morning we went to breakfast (mediocre buffet) and noticed syrup had been spilled on the elevator floor and our shoes were sticking to the floor. We notified the front desk (twice), a maid (once) and the janitor (once). The floor was still dirty when we checked out. Very disappointing.

Something in the plumbing or air conditioning made a banging noise off and on through the second night, I am a sound sleeper and only woke to the noise once but my wife said she was awakened several times through the night. Great staff and great hotel!

Beautiful hotel and scenery. Sheets were clean, but stained. Bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been. Room was accommodating. Restaurant was really good, as well as the breakfast. You can hear the guests in the rooms next to you. Pricey for what you get. Overall no problems that would keep us from coming back. Recommend for a night or two.

Our room facing the bay was an excellent choice and worth the extra money. The hotel has an easy going vibe and is perfectly located in Rockport to most of the restaurants and tourist attractions. Breakfast was good but you had to wait for a table as they have limited seating. Dinner food was average at best.

We had a nice time. Good continental breakfast. Nice pool are. Pretty view of the bay.

Built to look like an older hotel, it has the look and feel of such. Comfortable and large off lobby bar, sitting and dining area. Breakfast was great. Right on the bay with waves lapping at the seawall. Close to some good restaurants.

Location in Rockport is great. Clearly the best hotel in town. Conveniently located to all sights. Scenic views. The breakfast included in the room price was quite elaborate-- it included make-it-yourself Texas-shaped waffles, which the children loved. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are showing some age but are clean.

This last trip I had to switch rooms because of feices on the toilet seat but the other 4 times I have stayed there everything was perfect. I recommend.

For the price it's a fantastic deal! Everyone is great!

We loved the time we spent there it is convenient to a wonderful Catholic Church, Stella Mares. The lighted pier is super for my husband. The breakfast could be improved by keeping the hot coffee hot and the hot water hot. Other than that it was a great experience. The staff were excellent, we had a flat and they were a Godsend.

Although we had been to Rockport/Fulton a number of times, we had never stayed at the Lighthouse Inn before. We were so pleased with everything...the amenities including great robes and the wonderful rockers on the patios. The beds were very comfortable, too. We'd definitely stay there again.

We were stopping for a short stay on our tour of Texas. It was relaxing, comfortable and charming.

Great location on the bay. Our room was very nice for an older hotel. Helpfull and friendly staff. Limited and pricey dinner menu but good complimentary breakfast. Going back some time.

I much prefer Rockport to the surrounding area - and this hotel is a great place to stay right on the water.

I booked the room for my parents anniversary and the room was excellent, the lady that checked them in was rude and uncooperative, but they said the lady running the bar was very informative and very nice. They loved the room and the view. I asked for pool side and paid for pool side, but did not get it. Overall they rated the hotel as nice. Just would like to get what I pay for. They enjoyed themselves, so Im pleased.

Our stay was very relaxing the first night it poured rain . The view was fantastic on the first floor all the accomodations were fantastic especially breakfast. Kenya the nighttime bartender was great give that girl a raise. Hi from Idaho.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Everything was top notch and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Staff friendly and informative, location superb, complimentary breakfast had lots of options. Hot tub under the stars was a great way to end the day. Would stay there again if the occasion arose.

IT IS A PLEASANT HOTEL AND INCLUDES A GOOD BREAKFAST. THE BACK FACES THE OCEAN AND THERE, ONE CAN RELAX IN A ROCKING CHAIR, READ A GOOD BOOK AND WATCH THE VARIOUS SEA BIRDS. THE HOTEL HAS A LIMITED DINNER MENU BUT A NUMBER OF DECENT FISH RESTAURANTS ARE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE AND ONE GOOD ITALIAN RESTAURANT IS WITHIN 5 MINUTES BY CAR. THE ARANSAS NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, IS SOME 35 MILES NORTH OF THE HOTEL AND CERTAINLY WAS WORTH A VISIT.

I didn't enjoy this hotel fully as I spent there just one night but hotel and place is very nice!

We like day trips and thought Rockport might be nice. We chose the Lighthouse Inn for the photos in their website - they didn't do the place justice. Morning coffee watching the sunrise on the bay is the reason we will be back. The bayside rooms have balconies with rocking chairs!!! Too good!!!
