Cute decor, convenient to fishing areas. On line photos of the house front don't give clue as to size of street and traffic in front of house. Kids were glad to have fenced back yard but grass in front and back yards needed mowing.Back porch/deck area needed to have leaves, sticks and other debris blown off. Need to indicate in writing and photos how the bedroom with single queen bed has a lower level to it and that the steps used to access the bathroom and rest of the house are narrow and steep, it is hard on people with bad knees since there are no hand rails.Back and front porches also need hand rails since these steps are also narrow and steep. We'll be back to Rockport, just need a one level rental.

The house appearance is great, thought there were multiple water roaches in the house which we killed. One bathroom was out of shampoo and body wash, shower nussles are loose, shower door are hard to open and close!

Perfect for a quick getaway to Rockport
My husband, two boys and mom and dad stayed at the Market Street Retreat for a long weekend. The two bedroom home was perfect for this short stay of three nights. My parents stayed in the bedroom with the queen bed while my family of four took the bedroom with the full bed and twin with trundle. Loved the vintage cottage feel of the old, but beautifully updated house. It was comfortable and cute. The backyard was also a nice retreat. My eight year old son loved the hammock swing. There are a few things that were slightly less than desired like the microwave not opening all the way due to the proximity to the fridge, the shower head in the back bedroom was low for my 5'7" height, under the beds could use a quick clean up of dust and debris, and the location of the home being on what you would call a "busy" major thoroughfare for Rockport but honestly compared to Houston, backing out onto Market Street was manageable. We love Rockport and visit every year at Thanksgiving. This was our first summer trip and it was just as nice though slightly more busy with the summer crowds. Overall, would recommend this sweet retreat.

Nice clean place. Nice getaway for families or couples visiting the beach! The host was also very quick to respond and flexible with our dates. The only downside I would say is good add some safety features for kids as the house is right off a busy road. We did have to add a safety latch to doors for our autistic child. However the kids loved the room with the 2 beds and the tv and loved the back yard with the swing!

Annual Family Get-Together
We loved our stay at this charming little house. There were a total of 6 who stayed here and there was plenty of room for others in the family to come and join us for a visit. The kitchen was well-stocked with all types of cookware and there were plenty of towels, etc. Our only disappointment was that the outdoor temperature was so hot (and there were also some pesky mosquitoes) that we didn't get to enjoy the sweet little backyard as we would have liked to. Overall, just a really great stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if we decided to re-visit Rockport!
