Welcome to Shore House!

Situated one of the most exclusive beaches of the Outer Banks, which means less crowds and more space for you and your friends and family. Shore House offers uninterrupted views of the ocean from living areas and five of the six bedrooms. The yard of the house is frequently visited by the wild horses.

The house has bedrooms on three levels with all bedrooms having ensuites. The kitchen and living room are on the top floor. Game room and wet bar are on the bottom floor. 4 bedrooms make up the middle floor. Multiple balconies around the house to provide space to sit outside and enjoy the ocean air. Additionally, there is the non-heated pool and the hot tub when you want some time in the water at night.

For those who like to cook, the kitchen is a chefs dream. Gas stove top with quartz countertops. Plenty of pots, pans, utensils, etc., so you can prepare meals for the entire group. As a bonus from the kitchen table, kitchen and living room, you can see the ocean while eating and relaxing.

If you have never been to the 4x4 beach, you will likely find it different than any beach you have been to.

The 4x4 area is home to wild horses, a beloved and historic symbol of the Outer Banks, and offers a rare opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures as they roam freely along the beaches. As one of the most pristine coastal environments in the United States, the area remains largely untouched, providing a serene escape for those who wish to experience the raw beauty and untamed spirit of this remarkable land scaped. At Shore House, guests can experience this rare and magical encounter up close, adding a sense of wonder and awe to their vacation.
A Sky Full of Stars: The 4x4 Stargazing Experience.

The exclusive 4x4 area of the Outer Banks offers an unparalleled stargazing experience as there are basically no light pollution. It really is amazing the difference in the amount of stars you can see at night at this part of the beach compared to other locations.

It’s a short drive to Corolla for a night on the town, a lovely meal or a stroll through the quaint village. Daytrips to the historic Whalehead Club, the Maritime Museum or one of the many lighthouses are crowd pleasers.

The main living area is open and the modern kitchen is a chef's delight and spacious enough for friends and family to join around while preparing and eating meals. The dining table seats 10 with more seating at the island. Two dishwashers make for a quick and easy clean up!

You are able to view magical sunrises on the ocean and sunsets on the sound from different areas in the house. If you bring your binoculars and enjoy watching dolphins from the inside the house or from the balcony. You are also able to see the wild horses that roam the beach. And of course there is also the pool for enjoyment.

Five of the six bedrooms feature ocean views. All the bedrooms have Smart TVs except for the bunk room. Four bedrooms have ensuite baths with king beds to accommodate your guests in luxury. Two additional 1/2 baths in the home as well. Additional Smart TVs are located in the main living room and in the game room to ensure everyone can be entertained. The game room also offers a beautiful pool table, an extra fridge, cabinetry and wet bar, and a 75 inch TV all just steps away from the pool. You will enjoy spending time with the family around the pool and there is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach and using the pool.

With the shoreline a stones' throw from the expansive wrap around decks, enjoy the coastal breezes while gathering with your loved ones or during some alone time on a private deck.

It is a short drive to Corolla for a night on the town, a nice meal or just a stroll through the quaint Corolla Village. There are quite a few restaurants from which to choose so pick out your place and call ahead for a reservation! Daytrips could include a visit to the historic Whalehead Club, the Maritime Museum or a climb up the Currituck Light!

If you've never experienced the joy of Carova with the wild horses roaming freely and the drive on sand to quicken your pulse, you'll have to come visit SHORE HOUSE. It is sure to please!! You can also drive your car out to the beach and park in front of your house where you can have your own private base for beach recreation and relaxation without having to walk all that gear over the dune.

- VEHICLES: 4 wheel drive highly recommend although trucks and SUVs can normally handle the sand driving. The park just before you reach the beach is provided to air down tires. Drop between 15 and 18 psi. Please note, you can keep your tires deflated for the duration of your stay. The park also provides air up stations for your convenience.
- Linens and Towels provided. - Please bring your own beach towels
- Parking at the house is free and space for 4 cars.
- Pool is typically open late May to end of August. May be open earlier or later depending on weather. Inquire if wanting specifics on if it open outside May to August.

HOUSE RULES: By staying at our home, you are agreeing to all house rules including unregistered guests, occupancy, events, etc.
EVENTS/UNREGISTERED GUESTS: We do not allow any unregistered guests or unapproved visitors. If you plan to have anyone onsite that is not included in your reservation, please contact us immediately. Additional guests are subject to additional guest fees. Events or large gatherings are strictly prohibited and will result in fines.

SHORE HOUSE MAX OCCUPANCY: Accommodate up to 12 guests.

Guests are responsible for a security hold of $1000. This is not due to be paid, just a hold on a credit card. The hold will be released 4 day after your stay if no damage or additional cleaning fees apply.
Smoking inside is not allowed. Fee for smoking is $500 plus any cost to remediate
Parties are not allowed - Fee of $500
Quiet hours are after 10PM
Third party rentals are not allowed (primary guest must be in residence for entire booking)
Any additional guests not listed on the booking, must be communicated and approved by host.

Guests who do not complete the rental agreement and security hold may have their reservation cancelled at no cost to the owners.

Our home is dog friendly, however, we do have some rules and a pet fee to preserve the delicate luxury furniture and linens of the home. There is a pet fee. To adhere to the "Good Neighbor Policy," please remember to keep them on a leash to keep them and the neighbors safe when outdoors, and don't forget to clean up their waste. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended unless crated. Pet owners will be responsible for damage and charged through their payment on file. Please note that the pet fee covers the cleaning cost after your stay, unless excessive hair/fur, and does not cover any damages done to the property.
