We didn't expect much but had seen loads of very good reviews about this hotel and we weren't disappointed from check in to the room food and pool all excellent if there was one down point it would be the dust in our room on table shelves and the bedside lockers but couldn't fault it very good and the staff friendly excellent and professional but been a Talbot hotel I wouldn't expect anything else

A friendly welcome, with genuine offer to help with anything, by Kenneth on reception augured well for our visit. The room was a good size for family accommodation, with very comfortable beds. It was clean and fresh. I liked the practical lay out in the bathroom, with a shelf for placing razors, toothpaste etc. Very impressive was the section of the mirror that didn't steam up after the shower was used. Often a problem for me, as I am usually the one to use it last. (I did not know why the rom was so hot on our first night, but it was not a problem after that). Breakfast was substantial and varied, with an efficient staff catering for large numbers. We were there for a wedding and the food for such a large group, of about 180, was the most impressive aspect of the hotel. I had hake, which was cooked to perfection, as were the vegetables etc. The service was excellent also. There was a gym, swimming pool, sauna etc, which I did not have time to use, but family did and enjoyed it.

My husband and I were treating some family and friends to a Saturday lunch after our grandson's Christening last Saturday. The meal was anything but good. The food was cold and the chicken was NOT cooked fully. I spoke with Management after the meal as I had paid a deposit and when paying the bill the deposit was not deducted. The furniture where we had the food could definitely do with been replaced as was very dirty. Overall a very disappointing experience.....and won't be back again. In fairness, the service was good and staff friendly.

Stayed here recently on business, nice hotel close to Little Island for business and only a short drive outside Cork city. I stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and it was lovely. I had dinner and a few drinks in the bar, my burger was delicious. I had a lovely breakfast the following morning and intend to stay here again when I'm in the area.

We were given one of the old rooms, the fact that the furniture was dated was expected, but the dirty tile grout in the bathroom, the mould on the walls, the smell, the absolutely unacceptable state of the iron and ironing board, stains on the carpet and on the walls is making us cringe looking back to this (all reflected in my photos). Most of the public areas have been refurbished nicely. We had to pay extra for breakfast and the swimming pool area could do with a bit of TLC too. We didn't argue as we were tired when we got there after a day at Fota and were only staying for one night, I suppose that might be the reason why we were given this room, because of the short stay. But I can imagine that others that pay same price would have been given one of the nice, new rooms which makes us very angry. We definitely do not feel that we got good value for our money and would not recommend this place unless they guarantee you one of the newly refurbished rooms. Staff did their job as expected, we rang down to reception and asked for some ice and glasses which were delivered promptly. Reception and breakfast staff very professional and friendly.

Well for spending so much I would expect that there would be -air conditioning in the room. -beds and pillows to be comfortable -that the reception would explain clearly everything about this hotel because if they did I would not of come here. E.g; I thought that my kids who are able to swim would be able to go off and I would be able to just watch over them but I didn't want to go in. -the food was always cold we would have to constantly have to ask to reheat it. -waiters saying bad language in front of costumers and kids. -menu option in the restaurant; there is very little. -the waiters and employees are enthusiastic overall.

Fabulous hotel. Lovely, clean and comfy. We had a family room that comfortably fit 5 of us. Fabulous, friendly staff who were just brilliant. Delicious food - clean plates all round. Well recommended!

Myself and my husband got married in midleton park hotel on 12th of may this year.. we had visited a few other hotels but were just overwhelmed by the beautiful hotel and gardens .. but most of all our wedding coordinator Joanne,, she was simply amazing through out the whole planning of our wedding ,, always made me feel so relaxed and reassuring me that anything is possible and all will be perfect which is exactly what our day was all thanks to everyone working at the hotel especially Joanne who didn't leave my side until the end of her shift and was even fantastic our daughters.. thank you midleton park hotel for such amazing memories that we will forever cherish Tracy & Noel ❤️❤️

Went for a 3 night break with the family, had a great time, the hotel is a great base for travelling around really close to fota wild life park, cork city, Trabolgan and a trip to the Jameson distillery is highly recommended. The service in the hotel was really excellent the management and staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was really good and the food in the bar was also very good. The room was spacious and very clean. Lastly the facilities for kids and adults is excellent really good leisure centre. Only complaint was the reception on the television in the room wasn't great, but had good WiFi.
