We couldn’t fault this small but perfectly formed hotel. We walked a few metres from the Mosque , through the door into a beautiful courtyard . The receptionist was most welcoming , gave us a free drink and lots of tourist advice . Our room was only the standard type but spotlessly clean , comfortable and beautifully furnished in fact not standard at all . I always think you can judge a hotel breakfast by the fresh fruit . A great selection and everything presented to perfection. The staff were always helpful and spoke good English .
Spent only one night during Easter vacations (Cordoba's Semana Santa) with family. We had one really beautiful suite with terrace (Anahita) and one basic room (room 8). The hotel is really nice and very well taken care of. Personnel is kind and helpful. Rooms and common spaces are clean. Anahita has a spectacular terrace. Breakfast was not very varied, but everything clean and neat. Two reasons why I did not vote this a 5 star (like majority of other reviews): 1) the rooms are not really insulated from the common spaces: from Anahita I could hear people walk to the roof terrace above us all night, like if they were in our room... 2) bathroom is nice and functional, but had a persistent humidity smell which would not really go away, even when opening the little bathroom window. Price-quality, we were probably negatively affected by the fact that we booked a stay during the Easter week (actually, on Easter Sunday). Still, while I can easily accept that in top season you can pay € 500+ for a suite with terrace like Anahita, I fail to understand the rationale of paying € 400 for a room which otherwise should have costed max € 150 (room 8). Maybe we were particularly unlucky and that room is the worse in the entire hotel, but in all honesty there is no way that that basic room can be charged the amount we paid.
Beautiful hotel in lovely old building. Right in the centre. Super friendly staff and a great clean and very romantic room. Fine breakfast :) The room with roof terrace was very surprising ! Definitely recommended !
We had a wonderful 3-day visit staying in this charming hotel. Our room was really comfortable, the food was good, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and we felt privileged to be there. The location is ideal for a short visit to this city, being only yards from the Mezquita and numerous restaurants and mysterious tiny streets. The fantastic roof terrace is a huge bonus, giving wonderful views of Cordoba by day and night. Even if you can't stay here drop in for a drink or a delicious meal and feast on these views.
We had a wonderful two night stay in this lovely small hotel. It was perfectly located very close to the Mezquita and felt like a wonderful, tranquil retreat. It has pretty patios and a rooftop terrace with stunning views. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Close to the Mezquita, this incredible boutique hotel has it all for the discriminating traveler. Always stay in a former convent, of which this hotel was part (the convent still exists) is a good rule of travel! Lovely in every detail. The owner/developer is a student of the history of Cordoba and archaeological bits are preserved and incorporated into the decor. Wonderful manager, Alex.
We just went to have lunch, unfortunately we couldn't, stayed there because all of the rooms are with double bed . But the lunch was superb! The Hummus is great and I had some serranos a kind of river shrimp like a langoustin. The staff is so courteous and the price is fine. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and also has a perfect location.
What a charming hotel! The old-fashioned structure has been modernized in the most lovely way, maintaining the beauty of the small central courtyard, complete with orange tree. Our suite "Anahita" was perfect, and the view of the Mezquita from our balcony was stunning. Our son stayed in a double room, "Ruzbahan," which also had a balcony and pretty view. The location is perfect, down a tiny side road, and if you don't have a balcony, go to the rooftop balcony and enjoy the view. Highly recommended.
A quiet boutique hotel with just ten rooms but superior service and old world charm. Once part of a convent, it is just a two minute walk to the Mesquita-Catedral Córdoba. The balcony over looks the church and the city. Just a delightful spot. Wish we had a week here just to relax. Comfy rooms, nice accompaniments. You will love this place. No wonder there are so many 5 star reviews. Thanks Alexander and David for the service.
My partner and i stayed here for two nights; a former monastery where historic ornaments are dispersed over the hotel. The hotel is located in a small street in the shadows of the mezquita. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. At arrival a drink and extensive expalanations on where to go in the city. We stayed in a room at the groundfloor (if we remember corrctly, it was called Leya). The hotel has about ten rooms and has a fantastic balcony with an amazing view! You can enjoy a drink and/or dinner at the balcony; dinner at the balcony requires a reservarion but is definitely worhtwile if you fancy a romantic dinner! The hotel has as well a restaurant at the groundfloor (where breakfast is served); good quality food and fine service! Continental breakfast with everything you desire in the morning! The room was clean and spacious. It was equipped with a shower and bath (in one); sufficient amenities. quality bed. We can imagine that the rooms are in summer nicely fesh but in februaury it was a bit frisky. Fair quality of wifi but sometimes some disruptions because of the thick walls.
