We just had the strange feeling that we were home- when arriving at this hotel. A small boutique - located in a quiet street- so small that a car barely fits- but really in the heart of everything. Completely redone room was extremely comfortable- with good lighting. Room #8 was quiet. A nice buffet breakfast- with hot dishes cooked to order. The small roof terrace must have the best view of the fabulous Cordoba cathedral in town. The hotel is so small it has free dedicated wi-fi. No pool. We loved Cordoba- and loved this hotel.
Very beautifull hotel which is a restored convent. As soon as we arrived, the hotel manager welcomed us like kings! We had a visit of the whole place and a history tour as well. Our room was gorgeous, quite small but everything is there. The bathroom is marvellous and very elegant. Breakfast is great and convivial. The patio is so welcoming and the location cannot be any better. 30 seconds walk to the Cathedral. We will absolutely be back.
If you set yourself up as an expensive boutique hotel, your customer service and interaction needs to be good. Even more so when your hotel is not easy to find. The female receptionist that we rang to assist us in finding the hotel was uncooperative to the point of being rude. Three or four times we rang for assistance. Eventually it took the police to get involved as we were in a restricted area. in order to find the hotel. We were about 50 metres before someone from the hotel eventually came to help us. We stayed in the Maryam suite, spacious but poorly designed and noisy at night, being directly above the main street. In essence, poor value for your money.
From the moment you step into the beautiful courtyard, with its orange tree and the gentle sounds of the fountain, everything is perfect. With only 10 rooms, each is unique and exquisite, and the tiny hotel has beautiful historical pieces from its time as a convent. We had "Mitra", overlooking the courtyard, and it was lovely. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dinner on the rooftop terrace or "balcon", with a stunning view of the Mesquita, and the breakfasts were beautifully presented with everything you could want. My only criticism is that I really did not like the way that the public wandered into the courtyard and sometimes even up to the roof terrace to see the view. At this price I feel it should be kept peaceful and private for guests.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. First off it is not easy to get to by car so make sure you have the hotels instructions before you go! Once there you get a big welcome from Alex and the location of the hotel is great for seeing all the sights! Easy walking everywhere and the wonderful Mezquita is 2 minutes walk. The hotel is built around a patio and sound does travel but we weren't bothered, and the rooms are very well appointed and comfortable, with historic artefacts everywhere. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and patio and is a good buffet style spread with fresh cooked choices - delicious French toast! The view from the upstairs 'balcon' is not to be missed especially as the sun is setting. Staff are all very friendly and helpful with suggestions and bookings. An excellent stay- no hesitation about wanting to return!
We stayed here for a night and also had dinner on the beautiful terrace on top of the hotel. This was very small, but no feeling of being crowded, there were only four other tables. The view was amazing, the food was delicious and the service, despite the waiter having to trot up and down a flight of stairs was perfect. All in all, a delightful evening. The hotel was lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful. What a great place.
My wife and I stayed for three nights at thus boutique hotel, situated in the old quarter, just yards from the Mezquite. Our room had a second floor with a private sun terrace with a double bed on in it. Wow! The staff couldn't do enough to help and it is a lovely, quiet spot to stay in. Sitting in the courtyard under the orange tree was just dreamy!
The hotel is a little oasis of luxury just off the beating heart of Cordoba. Its quiet, cool and beautifully appointed, but only a minute from the Mosque - Cathedral. Our room has a great view over the city rooftops to the Cathedral and a nice sitting area. Very nice room, excellent breakfast, wish we'd stayed longer and dined at the hotel, sure that would have been great too. Strongly recommend.
We picked this from Trip Advisor and it was spot on. Beautiful small hotel amazingly metres from centre but quiet difficult to access if have your own car. Taxi takes you through a maze of small streets. Best to go to catherdral and walk 70 metres! Get map beforehand. We went for Patios open event which was great but don't go at weekends......murder with all those spanish ??!! Breakfast a bit crowded. Only negative the chefs ignore you and never smile. .
Not easy to find but right near the central attraction of this beautiful city. The hotel is well located and when you step off the tiny street your met with a tranquil courtyard with a 150 year old orange tree. The team are friendly and nothing is too much for them. They took care of the car parking in this busy city and returned it when we were ready to leave. The breakfast is outstanding quality. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the air conditioning kept the temperature just right. We will go back to Corboda and we will stay here again.
