I made arrangements ahead of time for transport from the airport. My two kids and I arrived at midnight and we had to wait 1.5 hours for transport. Arriving at about 2am I was told that we couldn't have more than two people in the room and made us book another room for the two nights. My kids are minors and there is no way I would leave them alone, so I paid two nights for a room that I didn't use. There wasn't much I could do at that time of night. I just got in the elevator and cried. Nothing was mentioned at the time of purchase and the staff was inflexible. Actually the hotel was ok, but it really doesn't matter how smiley the staff is, or how clean the rooms are if you are forced to pay double.
My only complaint was that while the hotel advertised a pool it was for the hotel next door. There are two separate hotels, the Amerian Hotel Park and the Amerian Hotel Executive. We stayed at the Executive and thus if we wanted to use the pool had to go next door. The staff was helpful with providing directions, maps, and handling our laundry needs. The Amerian Executive did not have ice available, thus again, requiring one to leave the hotel and go to the Amerian Park next door. I did this looking for a bucket of ice and was offered only a glass with two cubes in it. Overall this hotel is clean, neat, and attractive as it is only five minutes from many attracitons in Cordoba city and it is located in a very good neighborhood.
Kind staff, perfect location, clean rooms, reasonable breakfast and much more! If you are traveling to Cordoba, stay here!
