Une très belle piscine partagée est accessible à 700m. Internet est limité La Charbonnière is a beautiful old house along the boarder of the lake of Vau Rozet. From its terrasse you can hear the birds sing and the ducks swim. This picturesque place is ideal for a relaxing retreat with family and friends. La Charbonnière can host up to 5 people and the house has been newly refurbished to a high standard that will make your stay unforgettable. A large garden with a beautiful lake, as well as a big forest are available for outdoor activities, such as sports and nice walks. A shared swimming pool is accessible at the main property (700 meters) for relaxing moments. A full time concierge will assist our guests during their staying. The property is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, in the natural park «Parc naturel régional Loire-Anjou-Touraine». It is part of the private Domaine de Vau Rozet and sits in a beautiful setting, surrounded by private and fenced garden. It's a place of utmost tranquility and peace and offers you the space and nature that any busy mind needs to truly relax, switch off and enjoy! The next town, Bourgueil, is only 10 minutes away and offers plenty of vineyards, restaurants, local farmers market, supermarket etc. The picturesque town of Chinon is only 20 minutes away, as is Saumur. The area has plenty of castles, markets, vineyards etc to offer. If you are looking for something a bit more special, the famous zoo La Flèche is also only a 20 minute drive away. For the racing fans among you, Le Mans is 30 min away. The best option would be to come by car, as the property is in pure countryside. There's a BBQ available for you to use.

Not the property we booked

A week before, I was told the original property we booked had been double booked so we were put in La Saulaie - a dark cottage deep in the woods. Whilst I was told it was a newly renovated cottage, some parts had been refurbished but the bathroom and toilet were not up to the same standard. Wi-Fi was terrible. It was clearly not up to the same standard as the cottage I had booked. Pool was lovely though at the main complex that was 5 minutes away by car.

Très beau gite en bord de lac

Belle rénovation de qualité pour ce gite en bord d'un petit lac, idéal pour qui recherche le calme au milieu des bois Jolie décoration et tout confort, rien de manque, même pas le wifi disponible, heureusement car peu de réseau 4G Très bon accueil et petit plus aux beaux jours, accès à la piscine du chateau de Vau Rozet sur la rive opposée. Adresse à retenir, nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Françoise B.
