My husband and I spent one night after a visit to Fallingwater. Our room was comfortable and well appointed and the house itself was lovely and impeccably clean. The grounds run down to the river. The host was friendly and went out of his way to help us make plans for dinner while not being at all intrusive. The owners live next door but not in the house. Breakfast was great. Confluence itself is a small town but we had a nice dinner at Lucky Dog Cafe Be aware that there is no liquor store nearby (you can get beer) so if you want to have a glass of wine in front of the river, bring a bottle. Close to Ohiopyle State Forest and not far from Fallingwater.
It felt just like being at home with all amenities. Bedrooms nicely decorated, very comfortable beds, and very clean accommodations. The host was very warm and hospitable. And for those who like to eat well, there are excellent dinner options in town.
My wife and I spent 5 days on this property for our wedding and it was great! The two houses on the property were extremely private, but very nice. The smaller chalet had a cozy feel to it and was best for a night in. The larger house was nice to host a larger number of people. The kitchen was huge and included all accommodations you could want for a getaway weekend. Both houses had full bathrooms and the temperature indoors was perfect. One thing to keep in mind was that there is a train track right next to the property. Trains roll by somewhat frequently during the day and night. The yard on the property was very well kept. With flowers in bloom, it was so beautiful. We were allowed to host the ceremony and reception out in this yard, so it shows it is big enough for as much fun as one would want. The only negative was that, with the river right beyond the trees, there were gnats and mosquitoes everywhere during the day. Just be aware of this, especially if it is a hot and humid day. Robin and Dan were also amazing. Their communication with us was perfect and were able to help us with anything we needed.
My husband and I stayed one night and found the home very comfortable and the hosts welcoming and friendly. You can walk around the grounds and see the river that runs along one side of the property. The other side is bordered by an active railroad. The trains run frequently and can take a bit of getting used to but were quieter at night. The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated, and we had the run of the kitchen to store food in the refrigerator, etc., which was very helpful. Breakfast was great, and we enjoyed chatting with Dan to learn more about the area.
We found Robin and Dan to be very accommodating. They pay attention to details which made our stay comfortable . The Chalet is cozy and quiet. We were impressed with the decor and the layout. The train comes near quite often but because the house is so well insulated we had no issue with it at all. We would love to return.
My husband and I stayed here for one night and enjoyed the country surroundings. The train was not a bother to us at all...as a matter of fact, my husband slept through it! Dan, Robin and Oliver (the golden) really make you feel at home. Dan makes a hearty breakfast to start your day! Thanks.....
Paddler's Lane is about 1.5 miles from the GAP bike trail and offers very comfortable rooms and a peaceful place to spend an overnight. Dan made us a nice breakfast and some good conversation and Robin loaned us her car so we could drive into town for a bite to eat. Rooms were very reasonably priced, clean and very comfy. We were forewarned about the nearby train but had no problem getting a goods night sleep.
Robin and Dan Thanks for opening your home up to us we had a great relaxing time even though the train was loud we enjoyed it did not ruin the trip the house was well-stocked and very pretty thanks again
We stayed for one night only after a visit to Fallingwater House at Mill Run but would love to have stayed longer, especially a little later in spring or summer. Can only imagine how lovely it would be with all the green on the trees. Dan and Robin are great hosts. Dan does all the cooking and most of the talking and is a very likable friendly fellow. Thanks once again for a great stay.
Tucked away in the Allegheny Mountains right outside Ohiopyle State Park is Peddlers Lane retreat. Lovely place right on the Youghiogheny River. What impressed me most though was the inn’s Hosts Robin and Dan. Staying at Peddlers Lane was more like a visit with an old friend than it was staying a B&B. A real 10 in my book!
