It was cold and no heat. It took some Diskussion with host to get heat. He said they only turn on at mid October. He stated that they put on sweaters. Upon further asking we recived some heat.The accomodation was not as listed with a rating of 10.

Concarneau Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at L Écurie du Manoir very much. the accommodation was clean and tidy and very comfortable for two people with plenty of indoor seating. The gite was styled as an old stable/tack room, which it may well have been, and it was certainly quirky although not in a bad way. The kitchen was a little limited, however when we requested it, our host kindly provided a bar-b-que and we simply cooked and eat outside. This was of course helped by the wonderful weather. The first floor housed a good sized bedroom plus separate shower rooms and toilet. The large bed was very comfortable and bigger than some hotel rooms we had stayed in on the same holiday Outside we had the choice of large gardens for eating and drinking. The swimming pool was shared with the landlord and other gite users but we found it was never too busy and we could swim whenever we wanted and never actually had to share the pool with anyone! The location of the gite is actually in Concarneau which we hadn't realised and it was easily possible to walk into town, just down the road we found a large supermarket complex that provided every thing we needed. Finally, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our Landlord delivered us fresh bread every morning which saved us having to run around trying to find bread for lunches. We would certainly recommend the gite based on our stay
