Peaceful mountain finca

Fantastically located rustic mountain finca, fully modernised, great for families, big groups, small companies for a teambuilding, walkers, hikers, couples and cyclists. Two minutes from Competa village, 10 minutes away from the National Park and 25 minutes from the coast side.

Overlooking the idyllic mountains and the sea, this large rustic finca has a main house with three bedrooms and two apartments with each one bedroom.

This advertisement concerns the main house with three double bedrooms, the master bedroom has an annexe bathroom with shower, bath and toilet, next to a second bathroom with shower and toilet, a large fully equipped marble kitchen, living room and dining room, snug corner and office space.

Outside you'll find a heated swimming pool, 4 different terraces and a beautiful garden. Up the hill there are two identical apartments with each a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Each apartment has its own terrace.

The main house and apartments have their own driveway with parking for three or four cars and they are fully modernised, benefiting from good internet access, international TV channels, two log burners in the main house and air conditioning.

Beautiful finca - horrendous problems with utilities

Problems from day 1: No water for 4 days as water pump to property broke Having to wash in bottled water Washing up in bottled water When water pump fixed we had black foul smelling water. We were told to run all the taps to clear it and in doing so the downstairs sink and toilet overflowed all over the floor with us having to mop up stinking water. A bio chemical bomb was then added to the water tank which bleached clothes in the washing machine, very chemical strong smell, stinging eyes, turned blond hair green. Water pressure for a 1 minute shower was merely a trickle. Our family was then left with no electricity over the weekend due to a problem in the house. Having to use torches to move around in the evening and our food in the fridges defrosted. When finally fixed, the electrician said the house was in dire need of a rewire. The property also advertised full TV. When we arrived we tried to use the TV but a message on screen said the subscription had expired on the 24th July before we arrived. This was only resolved at the end of the first week.

Relaxing week in the mountains

Wonderful villa about 5 minutes drive/ 30 mins walk outside the lovely village of Competa. Very well equipped, probably the best I have ever stayed. Comfortable living arrangements, lots of living space. We had lots of mosquitoes so make sure you have repellent from first arriving. The pool was very welcome for the 5 of us but if many more I think it would have felt a bit cramped. Vikki and Simon were there to help us from check in to helping us find great places to visit and other local advice. Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing family week.
