The property location is fantastic but it was lacking AC and it was super loud since we had to keep the window open all night. We did not enjoy our stay, it was super hot and we didn’t sleep. We asked for a fan but was ignored via message “what’s app” also it soo hot in the room we had to resort to wetting towels and putting it on our heads due to the heat. The property listed it has WIFI. But when we got there there is no WiFi… there is a lack of communication between us and the host. I was say this place would be perfect in the fall or winter. Or check out his other rooms for AC.

There is no air conditioning, Wi-Fi, or elevator (the apartment is on the third floor). You’ll need to open the window for ventilation, but it can get noisy at night — and even then, it doesn’t help much with cooling.

Great location but hot and noisy

Friendly host, Marco and friend. Room was very clean and well decorated but it was very hot (no A/C, only ceiling fan), noisy if window open and there was no WiFi reception in the room.

Everything was perfect about this property. The only down side was a sewer stench coming from the bathroom; however all of the other qualities made it tolerable. The steps were no problem unless maybe you are older or injured. Marco was sweet but did better answering calls rather than texts. The room had a cozy vibe and the bed was so nice, like sleeping on grandma’s sheets. The wood ceiling in our room was beautiful. We could walk easily to everything. The price was a great value.

Lovely little apartment

So glad we did not listen to the reviews!. The location was excellent. Lovely restaurants nearby. Lake is 10 minute walk with plenty of shops etc on the way. Marco accomodated us when we had a 3 hr flight delay. Check in was easy. Lovely little apartment and great value for money. Yes there is room for improvement and breakfast is not included but if you did want one Marco would see to it. It is definitely not as bad as some reviews say! Oh and there are 65 steps to the apartment we had! 😆

Do not stay here!

Believe the other reviews! Do not stay here!! The air conditioning doesn’t work. This unit is in an attic so it’s stifling hot! We turned the air on which should have been turned on when we made the reservation that evening. The reviews each say consecutively that the air doesn’t work. We gave it a try thinking maybe they fixed it. NO! We called the owner he pretended I was crazy and that it has been working. I am VERY familiar with this model it wasn’t working. He said wait 30 minutes if it doesn’t cool down to call back. We waited almost an hour. We called back no answer. Hotels.com tried to call no answer to them either. We got no sleep! If the weather is cool out like 60 you are fine. Otherwise stay away.

4th floor without elevator. Parking is 10 minutes away and costs 35 dollars per day. Area is Zona traffico limitato, i.e. you cannot come close to appartment with your car, uber or taxi. Breakfast is not included and has not been since COVID era. Air conditioning not working with 86-90 degree heat in June, so imagine July or August. Poor service and communication with customer. Noise start at restaurant below before dawn and is loud enough to wake you up. Sheets and bathroom were clean. Close to all sites downtown Como, but that's not enough to make up for all the negatives unless you are 20 and want to party all night... Would not recommend even for my enemy!

Nice big room in a central location. Marco is very friendly too. There was some confusion about check-out time which needs to be updated online. My booking said check-out time was noon, so we went out in the morning and came back to find the room had been unlocked, our possessions moved and staff turning down the room for the next guests. Apparently check out was at 10:30am, but this was never communicated to us. Marco and staff were nice about it though.

The property is in a great location for food, shopping, and easy access (less than 10 minutes walk to the lakeside); it is about a 15 minute walk to the train station, but easily doable. The owner, Marco, was very friendly and helpful. We've decided that any return trip to Lake Como would include a stay here.

Excellent property, in an excellent location. Perfect for two adults and two children. The host was very helpful when we called for advice on parking and directions. We would book the accommodation again.
