This is a clean efficiency, no frills hotel. Freshly renovated, still smelled like dry-wall. For the price, it was worth the value especially given the proximity to the main square in Como. We had a quiet room.
Small room with big benefits! Excellent location. Short walking distance to the train and to the plaza and lakefront . Friendly , helpful staff. Extremely comfortable bed and spotlessly clean room. Tv with a few channels in English was just what I needed to feel at home. Elevator and wide stairwell . Hot shower ! I didn’t use the lounge areas or vending machines but nice they were there. Very Minor dislikes: there wasn’t a Do Not Disturb sign and the cleaning person walked into my room when I was asleep. Simple fix, hopefully they get signs for the doors. The LED strip light for the room is super bright , too bright for me. Used the tv for light instead. Overall- highly recommend!
I did not expect a 3 star best western continental at the Lago Como area to be this wonderful and comfortable. We were happy we decided to stay here as we do have a choice, my partner and I. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.
It's location is conveniently located within walking distance from the rail station as well as the old town. Breakfast is adequate: continental without hot food. But the room is small even in European standard. The door can not completely open because it is stopped by the bed. The shower is about 3' x 3', not enough for an average size person to bend down and wash the feet. It's sliding door only opens about 15. A person with any kind of belly won't be able to enter! The staff is friendly and helpful. But they did not seem to know the most effective way to go to the Malpensa Airport. Their advise costed us double in time and money.
The room was clean but the location and the decor were not that great. I would possibly stay again if I got a really good price. Just wasn't that great.
This hotel is 10 min walk from either train station in Como. The rooms are nice and they had been renovated recently. The hotel staff is very good. The price paid for this 3 star hotel make it a good value. I do recommend this hotel for business people looking for a central place to stay in Como.
