Heated swimming pool! Free Wifi. In an outstanding location amidst almond and olive groves and with magnificent views of the land and Mountains. The villa is located on a country road, with a short drive from the road to the house. It is a house with a beautiful swimming pool and lovely terraces, some being shaded to enjoy outdoors dinners. There is also an outdoor summer kitchen. All with fantastic views. The house is well equipped and furnished to a comfortable standard. The villa comprises the main house with 3 double bedrooms and an attached apartment, with separate entrance which has 2 further double bedrooms and a second living room.


All our villas are located in a wonderful natural environment and in quiet areas of the village. That is why these houses are ideal for vacations for families and groups who seek these characteristics and appreciate them. Please note, therefore, that the villas are not suitable and are not available for loud parties.

Torre del Mar is the nearest beach and is around 30 minutes drive. It has an attractive beach and promenade where you will find bars, restaurants and entertainment for adults and children.
Pedregalejo, 5km west of Malaga city centre, is another popular beach and promenade with many bars and restaurants.
Nerja with its famous caves and stunning views over the Med are all about 1 hour away and the drive along the coast road before you turn for Comares is superb.

The village of Comares, the most beautiful White village in the Axarquia is delightful. It is 5 minutes, by car, and has bars, banks, shops, bakers, restaurants, Pharmacy and Doctor. There are also more bars and restaurants in the small Hamlet of Los Ventorros, which is 5 minutes walk from the villa. Malaga and the city is one hours drive from the house. You can also visit Granada in 90 minutes. The house is perfect for visiting other parts of Andalucia, like, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda. This area of Southern Spain has the best climate of all of Europe and enjoys excellent temperaturas throughout the year. Come and discover the pretty village of Comares and the life of Andalucia.

The swimming pool is open all year.
Pool heating is available from 01 April to 15 November at an additional cost of 190 euros per week.
Monthly rental rates (28 days or more) do not include electricity. This is charged separately at 0.35 euros per KW.

You must pay a refundable damage deposit of € 500 on arrival, which we ask to be paid by bank card. You will be reimbursed within 7 days of your departure. This cannot be done on the day of your departure, due to many clients leaving houses/apartments on the same day. Please make sure our office or your caretaker has your bank details in order to return the deposit. Thank you!

Lovely place

In the hills, 5 min walk from 2 ordinary but perfectly ok restaurants. Comares village 30 min walk or 5 min car with several nice restaurants. Pool was heated for our 8 days but was only 24/25, so still nice. We met the owner Jose, very hospitable and helpful !

Piece of heaven in Spain

Jose Villa 1 is located in the most beautiful spot in the mountains of Spain offering remarkable views. Close to Comares which is a beautiful Spanish village with very friendly residents. The villa was very comfortable and José was an amazing property manager….friendly, accommodating, and very quick to respond. We highly recommend this Villa.

Superb Villa

Stayed in lots of villas over the years and Jose 1 is right up there with the best. Totally private and not overlooked. Absolutely stunning views. Very steep, but short, driveway from the road is not for the faint hearted - or the infirm if walking.

As advertised, great place to stay

Everything was as advertised, check in was smooth and well planned. Pool was great and we had the heating on so used it a lot. The BBQ outside that’s built in was fantastic and we used it every day. We had a few issues with the hot water but they were resolved very quickly. Good little 5 min walk to the pub down the road. All in all a good stay.

Very comfortable villa in a lovely location.

Reasonable sized bedrooms in the main house with one en-suite bathroom, large kitchen with lounge diner plus two outside tables. The pool area is very well set out with plenty of loungers and a bar/BBQ area. Being May, we paid the extra to have the pool heated which made such a difference. There are two restaurants within walking distance and the one we tried (Table Mountain) was excellent plus there are lots of other restaurants in Comares. We would recommend the Verde Oliva which has lovely views. A great place to enjoy a paella.

Nice stay in Hills of Comares

Villa Jose 1 is perfect place for A big family. With 9 persons is this 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms Home ideal. Aircon for all bedrooms. Nice pool and A quite area. A 40 min drive to the beach, A road with A lot of hairpins, is not so funny for everyone but the views are amazing 😉. We’ve had A great stay! Thank you.

An interesting drive along the mountain roads but well worth it. The views are stunning!! The villa and pool are great, everything you need for a holiday stay. A stunning property with spectacular scenery. The hamlet next to the villa had two superb restaurants within walking distance. Comares (the most beautiful village in Andalucia) was a short drive or a long pleasant walk away and had a large selection of very good bars and restaurants, plus some friendly local shops. With huge scope for visiting other tremendous locations in the area (e.g.El Chorro and Granada) not to forget the Mediterranean just 30 minutes drive away, we can thoroughly recommend this property.

Wonderful Place

Gorgeous house high in the hills. Lovely pool & house well equipped. The 2 restaurants close by were very welcoming with good food. Everything else is a drive away, although regular walkers/ hikers will probably disagree! The Olive Mill in Comares has fantastic food & brilliant staff - I had a medical emergency while there & they were amazing contacting the emergency services - all through Google translate. Our hosts were welcoming & answered messages promptly. Only word of warning is to take note of the instructions given before arrival - they needed at least an hour to prep the house before we could go in, but I called them later than I should, so no blame just information. All in all a wonderful break

Perfect relaxing break!

We stayed at the villa with another family with varied children's ages. We all absolutely loved our stay! The town of comares is a short drive away, and Los ventorros has two lovely bar/restraunts too. Everybody we met was incredibly friendly. The views in the area are out of this world too. The villa itself is spacious, clean and well equipped. The only thing we were missing was a pair of scissors, which didn't affect our stay. We were absolutely flabbergasted with Jose's fantastic help during our stay. The dishwasher broke unfortunately, but within 15 minutes, somebody was at the villa to take a look and within 30 minutes a brand new dishwasher was being installed. We couldn't believe the service! We fell in love with the villa and comares and we will definitely be back!!

Very good and easy customer service. Very good directions to find the house. The house and area looked just as the Photos. In good weather you can see all the way to the sea. The house was clean and well maintained. The house is located very close to a Little village Los Ventorres, with two restaurants - The table mountain is very good - also the El Molino de los Abuelos in Comares. Every Friday there is a sightseeing tour from Comares main Square at 12.00 with Jessica. It takes about 1 hour for 5 euro and it is a very interesting tour. We also had a donky ride round the Comares mountain for one hour (fuente Gorda) - very kind donkey and people ( Burro Taxi) - . It takes about 35 minutes to drive to the coast - there is a big center El Ingenio with a lot of shops.

We really enjoyed our stay in this spectacular mountain location. The villa itself is nice (e.g. good beds) but nothing special but that's not really the point. The location is amazing with a really nice pool. The service from the owning company was also excellent. They sent lots of really helpful information in advance of our stay, we were greeted on arrival by Isabelle who was very welcoming and provided lots more helpful and interesting information. They were also very responsive when we did have a problem with the villa during our stay. They gave the general impression that they wanted to help us out as much as possible not, like some companies, that we were an inconvenience to them. Very impressed. If i were being hypercritical, some evenings, there was a bit of noise from the bar in the little village at the end of the valley. Nothing really significant just not quite as peaceful as we'd hoped on a couple of evenings.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt hier mit herrlichem Blick auf die Berge. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet mit ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck in der Küche. Die Bäder waren etwas klein, aber das war für uns auch kein Problem. Auf der Terasse konnte man wunderbar zusammen frühstücken und den Pool konnte man aufgrund der Beheizung jederzeit genießen. Einzig die Zufahrt zur Villa ist ziemlich steil und schmal und etwas schwierig bei der Anreise zu finden. Wir können die Villa José auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder hier her!

schon als wir ankamen war eine sehr nette Betreuung da, die uns alles erklärt hat. Dann kam 2 x pro Woche jemand um den Pool zu reinigen. Dank der Beschreibung war das Haus auch gut zu finden. Wir würden immer wieder gern dort hin fahren. Es gibt drei kleine Anregungen: vor den Fenstern fehlten mir Moskitonetzte, am Pool fehlte uns ein Geländer zum Ein.-und Ausstieg und im unteren kleinen Haus war kein W-Lan. Schöne Unterkunft mit kleinen Einschränkungen

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 7 Personen im November dort. Hatten bestes Wetter bei 25 Grad. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und bietet eine wundervolle Aussicht. Zufahrt etwas steil. Mit Auto und auch zu Fuß eine kleine Herausforderung. Der Pool hatte durch die Heizung eine angenehme Temperatur. Einzig eine Außendusche hat gefehlt. Das Haus war sauber, außer in der Küche. Wir fanden schmutziges Geschirr in den Besteckschubladen. Der Backofen war nicht gereinigt und die Spüle ist sehr abgenutzt und war ebenfalls nicht gut gereinigt. Das war schon unangenehm. Die Betten waren bequem. Das Haus bietet zwar Platz für bis zu 12 Personen, jedoch sollte die Küchenausstattung auch dahingehend angepasst werden. Es schien auch, als ob diese nicht regelmäßig kontrolliert wird. So hatten wir z.B. diverse Deckel wo dieTöpfe fehlten. Für die Küche haben wir also einen Stern abezogen. Die Grillecke ist super. Es gibt auch eine, wenn auch wirklich sehr kleine,Tischtennisplatte. Fussläufig sind in wenigen Minuten zwei Restaurants erreichbar, wo man gut essen kann und die Leute dort sind wirklich sehr freundlich. Der nächstgelegene Ort Comares, wo man auch einkaufen kann, ist wirklich einen Besuch wert. Ein wunderschönes Dorf. Ansonsten sollte man sich im Klaren sein, dass man in den Bergen ist und daher auch kurze Entfernungen längere Fahrzeiten benötigen. Will man Ausflüge unternehmen und sich was ansehen, sollte man Fahrzeiten von einer Stunde und mehr einplanen.

Dit huis is absoluut niet geschikt om te bewonen in de winter. Ondanks pelletkachel niet warm te stoken. De toegangsweg was in zeer slechte staat. In huis was met name de keuken niet echt schoon , er lag een vieze matras op het terras en op de tafels lagen kapotte vieze kleden. Vue magnifique

Nous avons passé 15 jours inoubliables dans cette très belle villa. La vue des terrasses et de la piscine est incroyable. Nous avons apprécié la proximité du petit village de Comares qui est à découvrir. La disponibilité et la réactivité des gérants est appréciable en cas de besoin.
