Columbus

The house is in a good location, has enough space with good beds as well as a stock kitchen and enough towels for a big group. Also had nice shampoo and conditioner. However, it had a Bathroom with mold stains and other without a shower curtain. Also there is no place to hang the wet towels. We found a dirty Q-tip with mold on top of fireplace mantle in the middle bedroom and a dirty sock under one bed. In the same bedroom one of the beds was missing a duvet or comforter. (Would be nice to have an extra blanquet. The coffee maker was dirty inside with mold. The Washer had dirty towels and sheets when we got in. And the dryer was still full. Bedrooms had no dresser or anything to place toiletry. At the end of our 2 weeks stay one family member was submitted to the intensive unit care and we asked for a late check out, and not even one hour was allowed. But they were nice to let us pick up something we left there by mistake.

In for Army-Infantry Graduation

Plenty of room, beds were comfortable. AC kept house cold. The way we Texans like it! Played cards games in the dining room. Kids played gaming device in living room. Plenty of doors to close off other rooms. Big front porch to sit and drink coffee and also to sit in the evening. Would stay again.

Great location

If you are traveling with a large group and just looking for a place to sleep it’s a great location but the house is very outdated. Needs improvements. Doors don’t shut well, heating/air isn’t great throughout the house. The linens were rough, towels cheap and thing. Hot water heaters aren’t enough to accommodate large groups. The 3 king bedrooms are all connected and the overhead lights all needed bulbs in them.

Great location and met our needs for a group of 13!

The house has a perfect location to the downtown area and not far from Fort Benning. The home was clean and met our needs as a family. The bedroom layout was a bit different -it made for interesting conversations but we are a close family and we made it work. I’d stay here again.

Weekend softball tournament

When arriving the house was hot and 84 degrees inside. The A/C wouldn’t turn on. We contacted management and said someone would come out. No one did until we called again the next day. The HVAC guy came out and turned the unit off and returned a few hours later and turned it back on. It was 77 in the house. The AC ran for about 2 hours before shutting back down. We were miserable all night with it 80 degrees in the house. The management team was responsive and apologetic but it is July in the south and very hot. The listing also still lists a pool/spa as an amenity which there is no pool or spa. We had 5 adults and 6 kids and we were miserable. It was better to go to the stores and walk around than to stay in the house. It was impossible to cook as it was sooo hot. Again, they say they are working on it but the shower also still doesn’t drain as stated in previous reviews and I see the pool is mentioned in previous reviews and still not removed from listing. It was an expensive weekend stay when you couldn’t even stand being in the house due to the heat.

Military Family celebration

We came to the Ft. Benning area to celebrate our son completing basic training. Knowing that fact, the hosts had an American flag and other patriotic decorations in front of the house. It was very thoughtful. The home was very clean and provided us plenty of room to enjoy our stay without being crowded. It is also conveniently located close to plenty of restaurants and a grocery store. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and cookware. We enjoyed evenings sitting on the covered porch. Though it’s not far from a busy street, the neighborhood and the street the house is on was nice and quiet. The hosts were very responsive every time I messaged them, usually responding within minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Renter Beware

This review is a compilation of the 7 friends (including myself). We rarely give reviews on a house because in my own personal experience, most rentals are what they say they are going to be...but.... Not the case here. In their write up we were told they had a pool. NO POOL. That’s a pretty important amenity to get wrong! To show up expecting one and to find out you were mislead was the beginning of one frustration after another with this house. One bed frame was broken and shower didn’t drain. Again…pretty big issues that should have been addressed the very first day. We very nicely asked for these to be fixed and NO ONE came over the 4 days we were there. Numerous calls were made but to no avail. Bedroom 3,4 and 5 were attached and the only access to 4 and 5 is through bdrm #3. Horrible set up obviously!! They have since changed the write up to state this configuration of bedrooms but it was too late for our group to know this. They also finally removed the fact that they had a pool from their marketing write up but again…..too late for us. The most serious and frustrating piece of this is the fact that they didn’t address the bathtub or bed at all and they very clearly were responsible for false advertising. We paid a lot for this house and asked for $500 back and both VRBO and Patriot Family Homes refused. This is wrong on so many levels. Steer clear of Patriot Family Homes and definitely stay away from this house!

It turned out great

The house was unique with much charm. Decorated very nice. AC worked beautifully. Kitchen welled stocked with dinning-ware. Plenty of bath towels & washrags. No dish towels or dish rags. Not the cleanest home we have stayed in, the bedrooms w/Kingsize bed oddly designed to inter link so if looking for privacy or worried about bothering the ppl in the room next to you, pick one of the other 2 bedrooms just remember there are 2 beds in those 2 rooms. 2 of 3 bathrooms are extremely small. The large one is very nice. The neighborhood was busy and driving slow doesn’t exist. The front porch is very inviting & relaxing. The Property Management Team were very accommodating and quick to respond to all emails. We will definitely rent from this property management company again.
