Near USC & Ft Jackson, WiFi & Pet Friendly!
Summary: Welcome to our charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath brick cottage just minutes north of downtown Columbia. Enjoy a fenced yard, WiFi, and a fully stocked kitchen—perfect for both work and leisure trips. Whether you’re visiting family at Fort Jackson, attending a USC game, or spending time with friends, we’re here to host you for a few days or a few months. The backyard features a grill and a 50" TV with Roku. We've included professional photos and real-time images from our cleaning team so you know exactly what to expect.
The Space: This beautifully preserved cottage features an inviting living room as soon as you enter the home. Two pullout sofas and two accent chairs allow you to socialize as a family or catch-up on Netflix with the 50" Roku TV that sits over the fireplace mantle. Note that unfortunately the fireplace is not functional.
Living room opens up into the dining room with farm table. The table is actually very special. The owner's grandfather runs a Christian rehabilitation center for men leaving prison or recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. One of the skills they teach the students is wood working, and the owner buys tables from the ministry. In the corner of the dining room is a desk and chair that provides a great work station.
The kitchen sits off the dining room near the back of the house, and is fully appointed with a refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, and microwave. Kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, drinkware, etc. We also have a traditional drip coffee maker with coffee grounds.
Finally the kitchen leads back to the laundry room and back porch, which has a stackable washer and dryer.
As for bedrooms and bathrooms, there are three bedrooms, all organized around a central common space. Bedroom 1 has a King bed. Bedroom 2 has 2x Full beds, and Bedroom 3 has 1x Queen bed. Each room has a closet and blackout curtains.
There are two bathrooms in the home. One located off the living room and the other between Bedrooms 1 & 2. Both bathrooms have a tub/shower combo, toilet, sink, and mirror with drying hooks to hang your towels.

Place to stay
This property was in a very sketchy neighborhood. Our family was trying to use it between home moves. I didn’t even stay at the house and my kids only spent a night out of a four night stay. Then the property manager booked us for 855 damage that occurred at a totally different property. When confronted, they said they issue a refund but instead charged us an additional 855. If you stay with this group, definitely take photos of check in and check out. They tried to accuse us of damaging a futon even though their wasn’t one in our property. And that we had a dog when we don’t own one. Very shady! Still fighting to get my money at the time of this review.

Quiet & quaint old home
The home was large enough for a large family to gather, although there would not have been enough parking for more. I would recommend bringing your own toilet paper, unless you like tree bark 1 ply paper, at least it'll do in a pinch. There was only 1 dish pod for the dishwasher so I'm glad half of our original party was unable to attend because we wouldn't have been able to run another load and we are allergic to the dish soap provided. We tried to limit our use of the provided products. Over all though the property was pretty much as listed, you can instantly tell the property is old but if you love old homes then you'll be happy.Army BCT graduation family

Pretty good.
The people we spoke on the phone with were nice. The location was okay, the house was nice and clean (the only thing is that the sofa bed had dog hair so we didn't use them) other than than that the house smelled good. And bathrooms are pretty nice and so are the rooms. I honestly can't complain about this place. You get what you paid for because it was the most affordable stay near fort jackson (20 mins away) that I could find last minute. I would use this place again if i needed to!

No heat or hot water
We understand there was no hot water, there had been a hard freeze but we could not stay there. There was also no heat so it was very cold in the home. Maintenance did not know how to fix it so we had to leave and go to a hotel room. The property itself was not very clean. Moldy sponge, dirty clothes left in a corner, no top sheet for the bed....

Could have been better
The house wasn’t bad overall. I think the cleaning people didn’t do such a good job before my arrival though. Most dishes were in the dishwasher and still dirty. Trash cans outside were completely full leaving no room for trash. One of the restrooms has a foul odor to it and even after cleaning it myself, I had to keep that door closed and stick with using the other bathroom. Large bugs somehow get in back laundry room. I’m kind of a neat freak so understand that too. I cleaned entire house because I could tell that whoever had before me, really didn’t take their time to be sure everything was as clean as it should be. The house itself was a nice house. Plenty of linens and dishes, glasses, cookware, etc....... park very close. Traffic was surprisingly busy, considering the location. Maybe not the nicest neighborhood but people were friendly around the house.

Avoid this property,
Avoid this property, after pulling into what appears to be an extremely unsafe neighborhood with my wife and daughter and her college belongings we open the door to a overwhelming odor of cat P. There were furball‘s P puddles and disgusting bathroom tubs and dirty toilets The fence was busted open in the backyard the grass was 12 inches tall the gate was not on the hinges and did I mention the overwhelming disgusting smell of cat P. I called for help and they did not provide any assistance. There was no possible way I could stay in this horrible house so I had to spend another $700 in a nearby hotel which was excellent, Staybridge suites in Columbia is pet friendly
